The tour guide was entertaining and skilled at explaining things, which made the journey enjoyable. I also got to see the endangered coconut crab, which I don't usually encounter. It was a refreshing experience for both my mind and body, escaping the hustle and bustle of society and immersing myself in nature!
移動中もツアーガイドのお兄さんの面白い話しや説明も上手で楽しかったです。日頃見ることのない絶滅危惧種のヤシガニも見れました。喧騒な社会から自然界で非日常体験で心身共にリフレッシュ出来ました！
少し肌寒かったので、薄手のジャケットを持って行くといいです。汚れてもいいような服装がいいと思います。

The guide known as "Hakase" was knowledgeable and entertaining, making it a tour where I could listen to him for a long time. The other two guides were also interesting, and I realized that the quality of the tour really depends on the guides. It was a cold day with bad weather, so we couldn't see the stars and didn't encounter many bugs, but the guide caught a coconut crab for us, which delighted my 6-year-old and 10-year-old children. This was my first time participating. My children love bugs, so we were looking forward to it. However, I had given up on other tours since they required participants to be in elementary school or older, but just before the trip, I found this tour that allows participation from age 3 and made an immediate reservation.
It was cloudy around noon, so I was worried about the starry sky, but we were able to see a sky full of stars. Since we had a 4-year-old with us, I thought they might be scared in the dark, but they were happy to follow their siblings with the flashlights that were provided, one for each of us.
We were able to find large and small coconut crabs, purple land hermit crabs, and other creatures, making it a very enjoyable tour. Additionally, we received photos from the day via LINE after the experience tour ended.

初参加です。子供達が虫など大好きなので、楽しみにしていましたが、どこのツアーも小学生以上で諦めていましたが、旅行直前に3歳から参加可能なこちらのツアーを見つけて即予約しました。
昼頃は曇っていたので、星空も心配してましたが、満点の星空が見えました。
4歳がいたので、暗いところは怖がるかと思っていましたが、懐中電灯を1人1つずつ貸してくれたので嬉しそうに兄弟の後ろを行ってさがしてました。
ヤシガニも大きいのから小さいの、ムラサキオカヤドカリ、ゲジゲジ、などを見つけるかができ、とても楽しいツアーでした。
また、当日の写真も体験ツアー終了後にLINEで送っていただきました。
よしみー、子供達にとっても忘れられない体験ををありがとうございました♪

I participated in a night tour in Ishigaki Island! I had heard that it’s often hard to have clear skies during this season, but I was lucky enough to see the starry sky! Additionally, I was able to encounter many creatures, and the guide was very thorough in his introductions, which made it enjoyable! You can also rent rubber boots, so it felt safe and secure! I’ll definitely ask for this again when I go to Ishigaki Island!

I participated in mid-March. Although it rained heavily in the evening, it stopped by the time the tour started, and I was able to join without any issues. When I asked about the probability of encountering coconut crabs during the trip, the response was somewhat low, but in the end, we encountered coconut crabs multiple times, and I was able to see almost everything I wanted, including land hermit crabs and scorpions. We walked through the jungle to the coast, and they provided explanations about the plants and terrain. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the starry sky, so I would like to participate again if I have the chance.

夕方に運転が難しいほどの雨が降りましたがツアー開始時には雨も上がり無事に参加できました。移動中に本日のヤシガニとの遭遇確率を質問したところやや低めの回答でしたが、結果としてヤシガニも何度も遭遇し、他にもオカヤドカリやサソリモドキなど見たいものはほぼ見れました。ジャングルを抜けて海岸まで歩き、植物や地形の説明もしてくれます。残念ながら星空を見ることが出来ませんでしたので、機会があればまた参加したいと思います。

The starry sky was magnificent, and the guide was amazing. The moment the lights were turned off all at once, the starry sky became a lifelong memory. The Milky Way and shooting stars were incredible. I felt like a child again seeing creatures like the coconut crab and fireflies that I usually can't see. I also learned a lot from the guide about the names of the creatures and delicious local foods in Ishigaki. I was most moved by the young man who is working hard after moving here. Thank you very much.

I joined to see the coconut crab. I thought it would depend on luck, but I was able to see four of them. How lucky! The excitement of walking through the jungle at night, combined with the guide's excellent guidance and the starry sky, made for an amazing experience. On the bus to and from the location, the guide shared recommendations for shops, so we were fortunate to participate on the first day. This time, I attended with my wife, but I also want to take our children next time.

運次第かな？と思っていましたが、ヤシガニを4匹も見ることが出来ました。なんてラッキー。夜のジャングルを歩くワクワク感、ガイドさんの絶妙な案内に加え満天の星空も観ることができ最高の体験でした。
行き帰りのバスでガイドさんからオススメのお店など教えてもらったので、初日に参加した私達はツイてました。

I participated because I wanted to see various creatures and also observe the starry sky on Ishigaki Island for the first time. The starry sky was incredibly beautiful, and lying on the sandy beach to watch it was the best! The main focus was searching for coconut crabs, and I encountered four of them, including a rare baby coconut crab! The kids also had a great time, so it was wonderful. From the meeting point at the remote island terminal, it takes about 40 minutes north to observe a sky full of stars along the coast. After that, you can stroll through the forest and limestone caves, looking for insects, animals, and plants. You can enjoy tracking with a guide while listening to explanations about the coconut crabs and bats of Ishigaki Island. However, the explanations about the stars may be somewhat lacking, so if you want to fully enjoy the night sky, I recommend joining a different tour.
集合場所の離島ターミナルから北へ40分、海岸から満天の星を観察できます。そのあと、森と鍾乳洞を散策して昆虫や動物、植物を見つけて歩きます。石垣島のヤシガニ、蝙蝠などなどガイドさんの説明を聞きながら楽しくトラッキングができます。その分星の説明はおざなりなところもあり、がっつり星空を楽しみたい方は別のツアーに参加することを勧めます。

We participated as a family with a 6-year-old child and parents in their 60s. I was worried because the weather was bad and it was drizzling, but the guide's talk was interesting, and we enjoyed ourselves on the way to the location.
The site was exciting as we ventured into a dark, deep forest that ordinary people can't enter. Walking through caves and rocky areas was also fun. We were able to see about three coconut crabs, which was our main goal. We also found frogs and insects, and my sons, who love insects and reptiles, were thrilled. Although we couldn't see the starry sky due to the rain, there were so many trees that the light rain didn't bother us, and we were very satisfied with the tour.
６歳の子どもと６０代の父母との家族での参加でした。天気が悪く雨がちらついていたため不安でしたが、ガイドさんのトークも面白く、現地に向かう道中から楽しめました。
現地は、普通の人は入っていけないような真っ暗な深い森の中を進んでいき、とてもわくわくしました。洞窟や岩場を歩くのも面白かったです。お目当てのヤシガニも３匹ほど見ることができました。他にもカエルや虫を見つけて、昆虫やは虫類が大好きな息子たちは大喜びでした。雨のため星空は見れませんでしたが木がたくさんあるので、小雨も気にならず大満足のツアー内容でした。

The tour guides kept us entertained with many fun stories during both the outbound and return trips, and I learned a lot of things I didn't know, making it an enjoyable experience from start to finish. Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy this time, so we couldn't see the starry sky, but I hope to see many stars next time I participate. The other highlight, the coconut crab, was diligently found by the tour guides, and we were able to take pictures together. Before going, I couldn't imagine what it would be like and was somewhat skeptical, but once I was taken to the site and went on the adventure, it was even more enjoyable than I had imagined, and I had a truly valuable experience. ツアーの担当者の方々は、行きも帰りも車内の中で楽しい話をたくさんしてくださり、知らなかったこともたくさん聞けて最初から最後まで盛りだくさんに楽しませていただきました。
今回は、天気が曇りだったので残念ながら星空は観ることが出来ませんでしたが、次回参加した時には星空がたくさん観れたら嬉しいなと思っています。
もう一つの目玉のヤシガニはツアーの担当者の方々が一生懸命見つけてくださり一緒に写真を撮ることも出来ました。

The tour itself can be affected by the weather and luck on the day, but this time we were fortunate to have clear skies and see a beautiful starry night.
楽しい3時間でした！車での移動時間もガイドさんが石垣島豆知識をたくさんお話してくれたので最後まで飽きることなくすごせました。ツアー自体は当日の天気と運に左右されますが、今回は運良く晴れて綺麗な星空をみることができました。

I joined the tour after my dad, who is around retirement age, decided to quit. Although we couldn't see the coconut crabs or the starry sky on this tour, it was surprisingly fun and a bit wild, and I was very satisfied. We explored the bushes and rocky areas, searching for animals.
At the beach, when we turned off the lights, experiencing the darkness that we usually can't feel was also a fun memory. Above all, the guide was great, explaining various things and even taking photos for us, making it a fun and quick tour.

The day before was really cold, and I was wondering how it would turn out, but on the day of the tour, the cold eased a bit, and I was able to participate in the night tour!
The tour truly gives you the thrill of moving through the jungle and reaching the sea. We searched for the coconut crab with everyone in the group, but... we ended up not finding any. However, it was fun to meet the coconut crab that another group found.
In winter, it's cold, and the chances of seeing coconut crabs are low, but I think the joy of searching with just one flashlight is something you can't experience often.
The stories from the tour guides were enjoyable, and I learned about the lives of the residents of Ishigaki Island and their recommended places. I rated it four stars because I want to participate again in the summer when there are lots of coconut crabs out! I'll get my revenge!!!

けど、他のグループで見つけてくれたヤシガニと出会えて楽しかったです。

この日は星は見えなかったけど、洞窟に入れたり、普段は見れない植物を見たり、大きいヤシガニを見れてよかったです。ヤシガニがものすごく力が強かったり、ヤシガニのいろいろなことががわかりました。ヤシガニの他にも、石垣島にいるカエルやヘビも見れてよかったです。とてもいい体験が出来てよかったです。またこのツアーに参加したいなと思いました。 碧依(姉)

I had given up on seeing the starry sky due to the bad weather, but every time the clouds parted, the stars that peeked through were incredibly beautiful and I felt truly grateful and even moved. Also, the sound of the sanshin was really mystical. However, I never imagined it would be that cold. I wanted to see the stars, so I didn't want to go indoors, and I boarded the boat in light clothing due to the flow of the tour, which I really regretted. Next time, I will participate when it's warmer.
天候が悪く星空は諦めていましたが、雲が切れるたびに覗く星は、とても綺麗でありがたく感動すらおぼえました。また、サンシンの音は本当に神秘的でした。
ただ、あんなに寒いなんて想像もしていませんでした。星は見たいので、室内には入りたくないし、観光の流れで薄着のままで乗船し本当に後悔しました。次回は、あったかい時に参加させていただきます。
