Due to the typhoon, it rained on and off all day, and just before the tour, there was a heavy downpour, so I was worried it might be canceled! However, the rain stopped just in time, and we set off! During the journey, the guide provided interesting and amusing information about coconut crabs, and the kids were really into it! We wore rubber boots provided for the trip! I'm not sure if we would wear them on non-rainy days, but it's better to bring socks!

We arrived at the entrance of the jungle, and each of us was given a flashlight to navigate through the dark jungle with just the light from our flashlights! This time, we were with another family with kids, and we all lined up together. Whenever we discovered something, we called out to each other and cooperated to search for our target, the coconut crab! Along the way, the guide shared stories about rare plants and other creatures we encountered, which was very educational!

Finally, we spotted a coconut crab! It was a small one, but everyone was thrilled! Just when we were celebrating, the guide found an enormous coconut crab, and we got to see it up close, which was truly impressive! Both the kids and adults were overjoyed and excited! It started to drizzle a bit, so the raincoat I brought came in handy!

According to the guide, the chances of encountering coconut crabs increase after it rains, so it was a shame we couldn't see the starry sky, but we were able to finish the tour on a positive note despite the rain! There's no way we could have gone to such a place at night on our own, so the tour was definitely worth it! Thank you very much for this experience!

台風の影響で、1日中雨が降ったり止んだり続いており、ツアー直前には土砂降りの雨が降ったので、中止になるかも！？と心配してましたが、タイミングよく雨が止み、いざ出発！！
移動中も、ヤシガニについての情報など面白おかしく説明してくださり、子どももノリノリでした！
移動に貸し出し用の長靴装着！雨じゃない日は長靴になるのか分かりませんが、靴下は持って行ったほうが良いです！ジャングルの入口まで到着し、1人1人に懐中電灯がわたされ、暗闇のジャングルを懐中電灯の光だけで進んでいきます！今回、もう1組の子連れのご家族と一緒でみんなで一列になり、何かを発見するとお互い声をかけ合い、みんなで協力してお目当ての『ヤシガニ』を探しました！歩いている途中も、珍しい植物のお話や他の生物を見つけると、それについても詳しく教えてくださり、とても勉強になりました！！そして、ついにヤシガニ発見！！小ぶりのヤシガニでしたが、みんな大喜び！その喜びも束の間、ガイドさんがめちゃくちゃ大きいヤシガニを発見してくださり、目の前で迫力満点のヤシガニを見ることができました！子どもはもちろん大人も大喜びで大興奮でした！途中小雨が降ってきたので、持参していたカッパが役に立ちました！
ガイドさん曰く、雨のあとはヤシガニ遭遇率が上がるそうなので、星空は見れず残念でしたが雨でも良い形でツアーを終えることができました！
自分たちでは夜にあんなところ絶対行けないのでツアーの価値大有りです！！この度はありがとうございました！

My First Time in Ishigaki Island
It was my first night tour.

When I arrived at the meeting point, there was a guide who looked like a jungle guide, which made it easy to understand.

They provided rubber boots, so socks are a must!
Once we reached the spot, the guide taught us various things about plants, creatures, and the local area, and I was able to learn in a fun way.

We walked quite a bit in nature, which really boosted my excitement!

To find the target coconut crab, we searched thoroughly with our lights, feeling like an expedition team.
I was able to find quite a few small coconut crabs!

We discovered various wild insects, and the hour flew by.

初めての石垣島
初めてのナイトツアーでした。

待ち合わせ場所へ行くとジャングルガイドさんって感じのガイドさんがいて、わかりやすかったです。笑

長靴を用意してくれているので靴下必須！
ポイントついてから、植物や生き物、地域についてなどいろんなことを教えてくれて、楽しく知ることができました。

結構ちゃんと自然の中を歩くので、テンション上がりました！

目当てのヤシガニを見つけるために、ライトでいろんなところをよーく探し、気分は探検隊。
小さめヤシガニをたくさんみつけられました〜！

いろんな野生昆虫をみつけられて
1時間あっという間でした。

The meeting place is in front of the ferry terminal, but even if you arrive early, you can sit and wait inside the terminal. It's air-conditioned, so it's cooler to wait inside.

There is rental available for boots and lights, so you can basically go hands-free. The tour lasts about 2 hours in total: 30 minutes to the location, about an hour at the site, and 30 minutes back to the terminal. They provide various explanations, so it may run a little over time.

Although it can be a bit hectic since you go with multiple people, it was a wonderful tour as promised, where you can see coconut crabs and stargaze on a natural beach!

集合場所はフェリーターミナル前ですが、早く着いてもターミナル内で座って待てます。
空調が聞いているので中で待っていた方が涼しいです。

長靴とライトのレンタルがあるので、基本的には手ぶらで問題無し。
現地まで30分、現地で小一時間、ターミナルまで30分の、計2時間程度のツアーですが、色々説明して下さったりするので、少しオーバーしたりします。
複数人で進むので、多少慌ただしさはあるものの、ヤシガニが観れたり、自然のビーチで星を観る事ができたりと、予告通りの素敵なツアーでした！

We participated as a family of three, including my 6-year-old son. There were three groups of participants, and the guide kept the atmosphere lively by asking various questions to each participant on the bus ride there. In the jungle, we were able to see various creatures, including coconut crabs. At the beach after exiting the jungle, we were treated to a sky full of stars. The guide provided detailed explanations about each creature and the stars based on his extensive knowledge. He was always attentive to my 6-year-old son, which made us feel comfortable participating in the tour. My son seemed very satisfied and expressed a desire to join again (we participated again two days later ^_^).

6 歳の息子含めて家族 3 人で参加しました。3 組の参加者がいたのですが、ガイドさんが、行きのバスの中からそれぞれの参加者に色々質問するなど盛り上げてくれました。ジャングルではヤシガニ含めいろいろな種類の生き物を見ることができました。ジャングルを抜けたビーチでは満天の星空を見ることが出来ました。ガイドのお兄さんが、それぞれの生き物や星について、豊富な知識をもとに詳細に解説してくれました。6 歳の息子のことも常に気にかけてくれて安心してツアーに参加することができました。息子も大満足だったようでまた参加したいと思います（2 日後にまた参加しました^_^）

We participated with our 6-year-old child and three family members. This is our third time joining this tour, which is our son's favorite. Each time we have a different guide, and we encounter different creatures, making it enjoyable no matter how many times we participate. This time, we met the best four coconut crabs, ranging from baby coconut crabs to large ones. My son was particularly interested in the coconut crabs and insects, but we also got to see a starry sky. We would love to join again when we visit Ishigaki Island!

6 歳の子供と家族 3 人で参加しました。息子のお気に入りのツアーで今回で 3 回目の参加となります。毎回違うガイドさんで、出会う生き物も毎回違い、何度参加しても楽しめるツアーです。特に今回は、赤ちゃんヤシガニからおっきなヤシガニまで、これまでで最高の 4 匹のヤシガニさんに出会えました。息子の目当てはヤシガニや昆虫ですが、満天の星空も見ることができました。また石垣島にきた際には参加したいと思います！

I enjoyed the little advice and discussions about wildlife during the car ride to the site from the meeting point. Once we arrived, we ventured into some thrilling spots that made me wonder, "Are we really going this way?" and I got to see many creatures that I normally wouldn't encounter. After passing through the jungle, we reached a nameless beach. It was cloudy, so we couldn't see the stars, but I think it would have been very mystical if it had been clear. I had an experience that I could never have on my own, and even without seeing the stars, it was a very fulfilling tour. Thank you!

集合場所から現地に行く車内でもちょっとしたアドバイスや生き物の事を話していただいて楽しめました。
現地に着いてからは、ここを進むの？というドキドキする場所を進み、普段見ることができないたくさんの生き物に会えました。
ジャングルを抜けると名前の無いビーチに到着。曇っていたので星は見れませんでしたが、晴れていたらとっても神秘的だったろうなぁと思います。個人では絶対体験できない経験をさせて頂き、星を見れなくてもとても充実したツアーでした。ありがとうございました！

We were taken there by car and arrived. From there, we explored the jungle. After passing through the jungle, we reached a nameless beach! It's a place we would never have come to on our own. It was a shame that the starry sky was covered by clouds, but in the jungle, we were able to see two coconut crabs (one up close). We also received explanations about various creatures and plants, which made the children very happy. Just one thing—I really wanted to see the stars… That's just a matter of luck.

車で連れて行っていただき、到着。そこからジャングルを探検。ジャングルを抜けると、名前のないビーチに辿りつきました！自分たちだけでは、絶対に来られない場所です。星空は雲がかかっていて残念でしたが、ジャングルでは、ヤシガニを2匹（1匹は間近で）見ることができました。他にもいろいろな生き物、植物の説明をしていただき、子供たちも喜んでいました。ただ一点。星空、見たかったなあ…これは運しかないです。

While heading towards the jungle, it was raining, and I was wondering what would happen, but I was able to see the Milky Way, the Summer Triangle, and many shooting stars, as well as a lot of coconut crabs. It was the best experience on my first day in Ishigaki Island. Additionally, I was given many recommendations for shops and tourist spots in Ishigaki Island while in the car, making it a very enjoyable time!

ジャングルに向かっている時は雨が降っていて、どうなることかと思いましたが、天の川と夏の大三角形、流れ星も見ることができ、ヤシガニもたくさん見られて、石垣島初日で最高の経験が出来ました。また、車内でも石垣島のおすすめのお店や観光スポットをたくさん教えていただき、とても楽しい時間でした！

The car's air conditioning was broken, and it was incredibly hot, making it feel like a sauna for about 30 minutes on the way to the location. I wish the air conditioning had been working.

It was a night tour, and I participated with two children who were scared even of a haunted house meant for toddlers. They were excited during the car ride with the explanation that we might see pythons or wild boars, but once we arrived, they became engrossed in searching for creatures while shining their flashlights around. We were able to find coconut crabs, crabs, hermit crabs, scorpion-like creatures, and lizards. During the tour, everyone turned off their lights to look at the starry sky, and I was amazed by how many stars were visible.

ナイトツアーなのに幼児向けのお化け屋敷すら怖がる子供２人を連れての参加でした。車移動の時からハブや猪が出るかもしれないという説明に子供はドキドキでしたが、現地に着いたら懐中電灯で周辺を照らしながら夢中になって生き物探しをしていました。
ヤシガニ、カニ、ヤドカリ、サソリもどき、トカゲ、色々見つけることができました。
ツアーの途中、全員ライトを消して星空を見るのですが、星の見える数が多すぎて驚きでした。

The starry sky was beautiful, and I was able to see various creatures and had a great time. However, when taking photos at the end, it would be helpful to instruct the people behind to turn off or lower their lights, as the backlighting made it difficult to capture decent images. Additionally, while there are multiple photos of families with children, there is only one photo of adults participating alone, which is concerning. Also, most of the photos are blurry, and some are out of focus, making them not suitable for sharing with others. I hope you consider whether these photos are appropriate for reminiscing about the memories.

星空も綺麗で、様々な生き物を見ることができ、楽しく過ごすことができました。ただ、最後に写真を撮る時に後ろの人にライトを消すか下げるかの指示を出さないと、逆光でまともに映りません。また、ご家族でお子さんと一緒に参加してる方の写真は複数あるのに大人だけで参加してる人の写真は最後の1枚だけなのが気になります。あと基本ぶれてます。ピントが合ってないものもあり、とても人に渡すための写真とは思えません。思い出を振り返るための写真がこれでいいのか考えていただきたいものです。

The jungle night tour is more of a jungle than I imagined. They provided us with boots, but I think it's better to participate in long pants. When I joined, I encountered a coconut crab! I also found insects I had never seen before, and it was a lot of fun searching for creatures in the jungle and on the beach with a flashlight. Additionally, the night sky from the beach was amazing. I was able to see the Summer Triangle and the Milky Way.

ジャングルナイトツアーは想像よりジャングルです。長靴を貸していただけましたが、長ズボンでの参加がいいかと思います。
わたしが参加した時はヤシガニに出会えました！
その他にも、初めて見る昆虫なども見つけられ、ジャングルや砂浜を懐中電灯を照らしながら生き物を探すのはとても楽しかったです。
また、星空も砂浜からの夜空最高でした。夏の大三角形と、天の川をみることができました。

I signed up for the tour to see coconut crabs and other subtropical creatures, but I was captivated by the unbelievably beautiful starry sky and the Milky Way on the beach. The guide was also very kind, and I wasn't scared at all in the night jungle.

ヤシガニやその他亜熱帯の生き物目当てで申し込んだツアーですが、浜辺での信じられないような美しい星空と天の川に心奪われてしまいました。ガイドさんも大変親切で夜のジャングルも全く怖くなかったです。

The guide was kind and shared many enjoyable stories during our travels. Despite the bad weather, we were able to encounter the coconut crab we were aiming for, creating the best memories. Next time, I’ll come back to aim for the starry sky!

It started off a bit nervously, with the number of old buses and lights being slightly insufficient. However, once we got going, the guides' love for nature really lifted the participants' spirits, and we ended up very satisfied. They found a small scorpion just a few centimeters in a crack in the rocks and showed it to the kids, creating an atmosphere that kept the little ones excited until the very end, wondering if they would find something else. It was fantastic.

When animals and insects appeared illuminated by the lights in the dark, it really boosted our excitement. The guides had a wealth of knowledge about constellations, entertaining not just the children but the adults as well. Perhaps the greatest charm lies in the guides' knowledge and character rather than nature itself! Thank you very much!

年季が入ったバスやライトの数がわずかに足りないとか、少々不安に感じるスタートではありました。
ですが、始まってみるとガイドさん達の自然大好きオーラが参加者の気分を大いに盛り上げてくれて大満足で終えられました。
岩の隙間の数センチの小さなサソリを見つけて子供に見せてくれたり、小さな子供達を最後の最後まで、何かまた見つけられるのではないかとラワクワクさせてくれる雰囲気作りは素晴らしかったです。
暗がりをライトで照らした先に動物や昆虫がいるとめちゃくちゃテンションが上がります。

星座も知識が豊富で子供のみならず大人も楽しませてもらえます。
自然よりも、ガイドさんの知識とキャラクターが1番の魅力かもですね！

Three nights and four days in Ishigaki Island.
I was unsure about what to do on the last night, but I found a tour for stargazing and exploring wildlife, and decided to sign up that evening.
Perhaps because I signed up at the last minute, our names were not on the list, which made me anxious, but the tour guides were kind and ensured we could join.
During the drive, the guide shared interesting and detailed stories about the wildlife, stars, and the charm of Ishigaki Island, which helped us learn a lot.
On the wildlife exploration, we were able to find more creatures unique to Ishigaki Island than I had imagined, which was moving and extremely satisfying. After walking through the jungle, we emerged onto the beach and were once again amazed by the suddenly expansive starry sky!
Stargazing and wildlife exploration—this is truly killing two birds with one stone!
I’m really glad I participated.
Seeing the guides excitedly discovering rare creatures like children made the kids excited too!

三泊四日の石垣島。
最後の夜をどうするか迷っていましたが、星空と生き物探索のツアーを見つけ、当日の夕方申し込むことに。
直前の申し込みだったためか、名簿に私たちの名前がなく、不安になりましたが、ツアーガイドのみなさんが親切に対応してくれてきちんと同行できました。
車内では、ガイドの方が生き物や星の話、石垣島の魅力等楽しく丁寧に話してくれていろいろ知ることができました。
生き物探索では、石垣島でしか見ることができない生き物を想像以上に見つけることができ、感動、大満足でした。ジャングルをしっかり歩いたあと、浜辺に出て、突然に広がる星空にまた感動！
星空と生き物、一石二鳥とはまさにこのこと！
本当に参加してよかったです。
ガイドさんたちが、子どものように、レアな生き物を見つけてはしゃいでいるのを見て、子どもらも興奮していました笑

The weather was great, and on the way to the night tour location, our guide Hiro shared interesting facts and recommendations about Ishigaki Island, which helped create a sense of camaraderie among the participants. In the jungle, we saw many coconut crabs, and the kids were thrilled. We also took photos in a dark cave, creating wonderful memories. After exiting the jungle, we reached the coastline and were greeted by a stunning starry sky. I was truly moved by the number of stars I had never seen before. It was a highly satisfying tour!

天候も良く、ナイトツアーの場所に着くまでに、ガイドのヒロさんが、石垣島のあるあるや、オススメを話してくれて、ツアー参加者の皆さんとの連帯感もできて楽しかったです。
ジャングルでは、ヤシガニを沢山みられて、子供も興奮してました。
暗い洞窟の中で、写真も撮ってもらい、良い思い出になりました。
ジャングルを抜けると、海岸にでて、満点の星空がみえました。日頃みたことのない星の数に思わず感動しました。

While walking through the jungle at night, the staff provided us with detailed and enjoyable information about the plants and animals they discovered. Beyond the jungle, we were greeted by a sky full of stars! We were able to learn how to take photos and even see the Milky Way, which was truly moving. Our family of five participated, and they arranged a private tour just for us. They diligently searched for the long-awaited coconut crab, and we were able to find one, making it a night tour that left both adults and children very satisfied.

It became a wonderful memory on our last night in Ishigaki Island. If we have the opportunity to go again next time, this is a tour I would love to join.

夜のジャングルを歩きながら、スタッフの方が発見した動植物をとても詳しく楽しく教えてくれました。ジャングルを抜けた先には満点の星空！写真撮影の仕方や天の川なども見ることができ、本当に感動。家族5人で参加したのですが、家族だけでツアーを組んでいただき、念願のヤシガニも最後まで一生懸命探してくれて、発見することができ、大人も子供も大満足のナイトツアーでした。
石垣島最後の夜にとてもいい思い出になりました。また次回も行くことがあれば、参加したいツアーです。

We ventured into the jungle in search of coconut crabs.

Before we set off, our guide provided a lot of explanations about the geography and the importance of protecting the starry sky, which allowed us to explore with some background knowledge.

I was thrilled to see the starry sky, the coconut crabs, and the long-awaited Semaruhakogame (a type of turtle). The children were also very curious. Thank you so much for patiently answering their questions.

I had been thinking that maybe it would have been better to go in the fall or winter since we didn't see manta rays while diving, but it turned out that the jungle creatures are more active in the summer, so I'm glad we went.

行くまでもガイドの方が地理的なお話、星空を守るための話など、たくさん解説をしてくださり、予備知識をもとに探索することができました。

星空もヤシガニも、念願のセマルハコガメにも会えて嬉しかったです。

ダイビングでマンタに会えず、秋か冬が良かったかな？と思ってましたが、ジャングルの生き物達は夏が元気という事で、行けて良かったです。

The jungle tour was more rugged than I expected, but it was a great experience as I encountered many creatures. The guide worked hard to find them and provided detailed information about the plants and animals we discovered, which was very helpful. Many of the tour participants joined to see the starry sky, so they extended the time for stargazing. I was moved to see a sky full of stars for the first time.

ジャングルツアーは、思ったよりも険しい足元でびっくりしましたが、多くの生き物に出会えてとても良い体験でした。ガイドさんは必死に探してくださり、見つけた動植物の情報を詳しく教えてくれてとてもよかったです。
ツアー客の多くが星空を目当てに参加していたので、星空鑑賞の時間を長くとってくださりました。初めて満天の星空を見ることができて、感動しました。

Due to the impact of the typhoon, the weather was uncertain, so I made a reservation in the early afternoon of the day, but I received a confirmation call right away, which made me feel at ease to participate!
The night jungle is a place that cannot be accessed without a guide, and being able to observe dangerous plants and animals was a very valuable experience!
Above all, the starry sky was breathtaking! It seems that the clear sky, influenced by the typhoon, was also a good thing!
The guide worked hard to find plants and animals, and their explanations were excellent; I’m really glad I participated!

台風の影響で天候がはっきりしなかった為、当日のお昼過ぎに申し込みましたが、確認の連絡も直ぐにしていただき、安心して参加できました！
夜のジャングルはガイド無しでは行けない場所で、しかも危険な動植物を観察出来た事もとても貴重な体験でした！
何より満天の星には感動です！逆に台風の影響もあり、空が澄んでいたのも良かったみたいです！
ガイドさんも一生懸命、動植物を探してくださり、説明も上手で本当に参加して良かったです！

In late June, my husband and I participated in a living creatures and starry sky tour. This was my second time joining, following my first participation in January. To conclude, I can recommend this tour whether it's your first time or you've participated multiple times. This time, we had two different guides from the ones we had in January, allowing us to gain a wide range of insights from all four guides.

In another tour, there was only one male guide and I was the only participant, which made me a bit hesitant to walk in the dark with someone I had just met. Therefore, having two guides from the start felt like a good system. All the guides were bright, young, and had great energy, which naturally fostered a sense of camaraderie among the participants.

The creatures we could see in January and June were different, so there were surprises each time. We were able to see many famous coconut crabs. The guides asked participants whether they were more interested in living creatures or the starry sky, and since I actively expressed my interest in living creatures, I mentioned wanting to see a Taiwanese scorpion, and they helped me find one. I am very grateful for that, but I felt that there was less explanation about the starry sky this time. Therefore, even if you only have a casual interest in the stars, I think it would be beneficial to actively express your curiosity and ask questions, as the guides would likely be willing to share more information.

6月下旬に夫と2名で生き物星空ツアーに参加しました。私は今年１月に次いで2度目の参加でした。結論から申し上げると、初めての参加でも、何回参加してもおすすめできるツアーでした。今回ツアーは、1月にお世話になったガイドさんとは違うお二人のガイドさんでした。そのため、それぞれのガイドさん（4人）から幅広く知見を教えていただきました。別のツアーでは、男性のガイドさん1人、参加者は私1人ということもあり、初対面で暗闇を歩くのは少し抵抗があったので、ガイドさんが最初から2人いるのはいいシステムと感じました。ガイドさんは、皆さん明るく若くてノリがいいので、いつの間にか同じツアー参加者同士の連帯感が生まれました。1月と6月では見ることができた生き物が違うので、その都度驚きがありました。有名なヤシガニも数多く見ることができました。生き物か星空どちらに関心がありますか？とかツアー参加者に聞き、私の場合生き物に関心があることを積極的に話したため、タイワンサソリモドキをみたいと申したところ探していただき見ることができました。そのことは感謝の気持ちでいっぱいですが、今回星空に関してはご説明が少なかった印象でした。そのため星空に関して何となく興味がある程度だとしても積極的にアピールや質問した方が、ガイドさんたちも教えていただけるのではないかと思いました。

I received a confirmation and met at the designated location on the day of the tour. The guide warmly welcomed us, and the tour started. During the drive, they shared a lot of interesting information about Ishigaki Island. Upon arrival, we finally headed into the jungle! It was great that they provided lights and insect repellent. I was surprised to see a coconut crab for the first time, and it was bigger than I expected. The starry sky was also incredibly beautiful, making it a memorable experience for a lifetime.

The Sagarihana is a flower that blooms during this season in the Okinawa and Yaeyama region, and it opens at night. I thought it would be tough to go alone since it moves at night, so I joined a tour.

After gathering, the tour adjusted the timing and took us to the Tanbuku Farm's garden, where we stayed for about an hour before being transported back. The site was beautifully lit up, and even though it was small, it was enjoyable, so I’m glad I participated. Moreover, since there are hardly any streetlights along the way, I think it’s safer to have someone take you there.

Looking at the Sagarihana, it seemed that about half of the flowers had already finished blooming at Tanbuku Farm, and it appears to be a limited period from late June to early July, so if your schedule allows, it might be a good idea to go see the Sagarihana.

When the Sagarihana blooms, it emits a sweet and unique fragrance, creating a mysterious atmosphere upon arrival, including the sight of the flowers. I definitely recommend experiencing this in person.

サガリバナは、沖縄・八重山地方において、この時期に咲く花で、しかも夜に花が開く花。夜に移動するので、一人で行くのはしんどいと思い、ツアーに参加しました。
ツアーは、集合後に時間調整をしてから、今回は田福農園さんの庭へと連れて行ってもらい、１時間ほど滞在した後に、送迎してもらうという流れでした。現地はライトアップされていて、小さいながらも楽しめまして、参加してよかったです。しかも、道中はほとんど街灯もない場所ですので、連れて行ってもらった方が安心だと思います。
また、サガリバナの状況をみると、田福農園さんの方は半分ぐらい花が咲き終わった感じでして、６月後半から７月前半までの期間限定のようですので、予定が合えばサガリバナを見に行くのもよいのではないでしょうか。

サガリバナは、咲くと甘いような独特の匂いを発するので、現地に到着すると、花の様子も含めて不思議な感じになります。これは是非とも実際に現地で体験して欲しいです。

My husband was excited about the coconut crab, and I was looking forward to the starry sky. At the meeting point, we received rubber boots from a cheerful and cute female guide as a precaution against the habu snakes.

After getting into the car and arriving at a dark location, the only sound we could hear was the hooting of an owl, which had my husband already thrilled. With the lights we were given, we entered the bushes by the roadside, and surprisingly, it was spacious and easy to walk through, allowing us to explore with peace of mind.

The guide found various creatures, including the purple land hermit crab, and explained them while taking photos for us. After passing through the bushes, we emerged onto the sandy beach, and looking up, we were greeted by a sky full of stars! It was the night of Tanabata, and we could even see the Milky Way. It truly felt like a planetarium, and we were moved for a while!

Later, we explored the bushes again in search of the coconut crab and finally encountered one! In fact, we found two! We took commemorative photos with the coconut crabs, and it was a very satisfying experience. Thank you, guide!

夫はヤシガニ、私は星空がお目当てで参加しました。
集合場所で元気で可愛い女性ガイドさんからハブ対策で全員長靴を貸してもらえました。
車で移動し降りた場所は真っ暗で近くからフクロウの鳴き声だけが聞こえてきて夫は既に大興奮。
配られたライトを手に、え！ここから？という道路脇の茂みの中へ入ると意外にも中は広く歩きやすく安心して探索できました。
ガイドさんがムラサキオカヤドカリなど色々な生き物を見つけては解説してくれて写真も撮ってくれました。
茂みを抜けると海岸の砂浜に出る事ができ、見上げれば満天の星空が！
ちょうど七夕の夜で天の川も確認できました。本当にプラネタリウムのようで、しばし感動の時間！
その後ヤシガニを求め再度茂みを探索すると遂に遭遇！しかも2匹！
ヤシガニと一緒に記念撮影してもらい大満足の時間となりました。

This was my second trip to Ishigaki Island. Instead of marine sports, I participated in a night tour this time.

Unfortunately, the weather was not great, and we couldn't see the stars.

It was drizzling, but the night tour in the rain was exciting and fun.

I was thrilled to see a large coconut crab! I wanted to see a coconut crab, so I was glad I got to see one! They took a lot of photos and sent them to me the same day. Thank you!

We also encountered various creatures like snakes and crabs. The excitement of encountering island wildlife that I can't experience in the city was overwhelming.

2度目の石垣島旅行でした。
マリンスポーツではなく、
今回はナイトツアーに参加しました。

あいにくの天気で星は見えませんでした。

雨がポツポツと降っていましたが、
雨の中のナイトツアーもワクワクして楽しかったです。

他にはヘビやカニなど様々な生き物と遭遇。
都内にいると感じられない島の生き物との遭遇にワクワクが止まりませんでした。

I participated because I wanted to meet the coconut crab and other rare creatures.

In addition to the coconut crab, which is a natural monument, and the purple land hermit crab, I was able to see many creatures. I encountered various species unique to Okinawa, such as firefly larvae, the golden chrysalis of the Papilio butterfly, stick insects, scorpions, and many types of crabs and hermit crabs.

On the day of the tour, there were two other groups participating. Although there were several other tour groups, the small group size allowed us to hear the guide's explanations clearly, and we were able to take individual photos with the coconut crab, which was very attentive. They provided long boots for snake protection and lent us flashlights. They taught us everything from safe flashlight usage to explanations about the creatures and constellations. We also had the opportunity to take commemorative photos with the coconut crab. The shuttle service to the port was also appreciated.

I happened to have some free time when I used Ishigaki Port, so I went to the planetarium there to prepare, which enhanced my enjoyment of the starry sky.

Considering that there were other participants and time constraints, if you want to take your time, it might be better to research and go on your own rather than join a tour like this. However, the advantages are that you don’t need to rent a car, you can go hands-free, and you can enjoy it safely without any prior knowledge. Plus, it’s very affordable and you can participate on the day, which I think is a great point.

ヤシガニや珍しい生き物に会いたくて参加しました。

天然記念物であるヤシガニやムラサキオカヤドカリの他、沢山の生き物を見ることができました。蛍の幼虫や、金色に輝くオオゴマダラの蛹、ナナフシ、サソリモドキ、色々な種類のカニやヤドカリ、へびなど沖縄にしかいない生き物に沢山会えました。

当日は他に2組一緒に参加されている方がいました。他にも何グループかツアーの方がいましたが、少人数ごとのグループなのでガイドの方の話も聞き逃すことなく、個別にヤシガニと写真を撮っていただけたり手厚かったです。
ヘビ対策の長靴や、懐中電灯を貸していただけました。安全な懐中電灯の使い方から、生き物の説明、星座の説明などなんでも教えていただけます。また、ヤシガニとの記念撮影もしてくれました。
港まで送迎があるのもありがたかったです。

たまたま石垣港を利用した際に空き時間があったので、そこにあるプラネタリウムに行って予習をしていたのでより星空も楽しめました。

他にも参加されている方がいることや、時間に限りがあることなどもあり、じっくりみたい場合はこのようなツアーでなく自分で調べて行くのが良いかもしれませんが、レンタカー借りなくていいし、手ぶらでいいし、なんの知識がなくても安全に楽しむことができるのに、当日参加できるしとても安くコスパが良いというのが良い点だと思います。
