In the morning, I did stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), and in the afternoon, I went snorkeling! Both guides were very friendly, and I had a great time! Especially during snorkeling, I was able to see wild sea turtles and clownfish up close, which made me very satisfied! I was also grateful for the beautiful photos that were taken! I would love to request this again when I come back to Miyako Island! Thank you!

On the third day of my four-day trip to Miyako Island, I signed up for a tour. Since the start of the trip, we had been experiencing cloudy weather, and our sightseeing on the island was limited to driving and visiting the underwater park. I went into the second night feeling a bit blue. However, I thought the leisure activities planned for the third day would be enjoyable even in cloudy weather, so I went to sleep with that in mind.

On the third day, I arrived at the meeting point, where a friendly-looking young man greeted us, despite the rain forecast.

We started with stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). The instructions were clear, and I had a great time paddleboarding in the ocean for the first time. The water was incredibly beautiful! The transparent water beneath the SUP was something I could never see in Honshu. As we crossed the bridge at Imugya Marine Garden and headed out to the open sea, we were met with rough waves, unlike the calm bay. I paddled hard against the wind and waves, and we took many photos in the open sea. When I looked up at one point, I saw the sun, which I hadn't seen in a long time. It was the first blue sky and sunshine of the trip, and my excitement soared.

We then moved to a different location for snorkeling. When we arrived at Shigira Beach, it was as if the previous two days had been a lie, with beautiful weather. Even though it was March, it felt like a tropical paradise. After a thorough explanation from the instructor, we quickly began snorkeling. As soon as I entered the water, I could see fish and coral. With the sunlight shining down, the ocean was stunningly beautiful. It felt like I was inside an aquarium. I was constantly amazed by the sheer number of fish. I felt embarrassed for thinking that I wouldn't see many fish while snorkeling and that diving might have been better. The two-hour session flew by, and I was very satisfied.

Later, I received the photos taken during the leisure activities. They were fantastic, with great locations and angles. The tour was very satisfying, from the explanations to the activities. I definitely want to repeat this experience when I travel to Miyako Island again.

三泊四日での宮古島旅行の三日目にツアーを申込みました。旅行始まって以来曇り空が続き、島での観光もドライブや海中公園観光ぐらいしかできませんでした。少しブルーな気持ちで二日目の夜を迎えました。三日目のレジャーは曇りでも楽しめそうな内容だと思って眠りにつきました。
そして迎えた三日目。雨の予報の中集合場所に行くと感じの良さそうなお兄さんが出迎えてくれました。
まずサップから始まりました。わかりやすいレクチャーがありはじめての海でのサップもとても楽しめました。なんと言っても海が綺麗！サップの下に見える透明な水は決して本州では見ることのできないものでした。イムギャーマリンガーデンの橋を越えていざ外の海に行くとそこでは湾の中とは違い荒々しい波が待ち受けていました。風や波に煽られながらも必死にサップを漕ぎました。外海では何枚も写真を撮ってもらいました。そんな中ふと空を見上げるとそこには久しく見ていなかった太陽がありました。この旅行始まって以来の青空と太陽。テンションの上昇は果てがありませんでした。
場所を移して今度はシュノーケリングをしました。シギラビーチについた時には今までの二日間が嘘だったかのような晴天でした。3月なのにもうそこは常夏の楽園と化していました。お姉さんの丁寧な説明の後すぐにシュノーケリングが始まりました。海に入るとすぐに魚や珊瑚が見えました。太陽の光もあり海はとても綺麗でした。まるで自分が水族館の中にいるかのように感じました。あまりの魚の多さにずっと驚きっぱなしでした。シュノーケリング程度では魚なんか見れないだろうしダイビングの方がよかったかなと思っていた自分が恥ずかしかったです。約2時間の行程でしたがあっという間に終わってしまいました。とても満足でした。
後日レジャー中の写真を送って頂きました。ロケーションもアングルも最高の写真たちでした。説明からレジャーからとても満足のツアーでした。また宮古島に旅行する時には是非リピートしたいと思いました。

In the morning, I experienced SUP at Imugya Marine Garden. It was my first time doing SUP, but the instructor taught me carefully, and I was able to paddle while enjoying the beautiful sea. I did fall into the water once while paddling standing up, but that became a good memory (laughs). In the afternoon, I went snorkeling at Shigira Beach. I was confused because the wetsuit size was too small, but they exchanged it for the right size. The weather was cloudy, but I was able to see coral, fish, and even a sea turtle! If you're visiting Miyako Island for the first time, I recommend this tour.

午後はシギラビーチでシュノーケリングをしました。
ウェットスーツのサイズが小さすぎて合わず混乱しましたが、適切なサイズのものに交換していただきました。
シュノーケリング自体も初めてで、はじめは口呼吸に苦労しましたが、インストラクターさんの丁寧な指導のおかげですぐ慣れることができました。
天気は曇りでしたがサンゴやお魚＆ウミガメに会えることができました！
初めて宮古島に訪れた場合、このツアーはおすすめです。

About a year ago, I participated in a tour for pumpkin caves and sea turtle snorkeling. Since I enjoyed it last time, I decided to join again this time.

We gathered at Shinjo Beach at 9:00 and first did the sea turtle snorkeling. The sea was very beautiful, and I was able to see many fish. We quickly encountered sea turtles as well. Swimming alongside them and seeing them up close was a memorable experience. We finished around 11:00, had lunch, and then regrouped at another beach at 13:00 for the afternoon activities.

In the afternoon, we tried stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). At first, I was scared and worried if I could do it, but I gradually got used to it and was able to paddle while standing, which was great. Even someone like me, who doesn't have good balance, was able to stand, so I think anyone can do SUP if they get the hang of it! We enjoyed it until around 15:00.

They took many photos during both the sea turtle snorkeling and SUP. It was a memorable tour. I will definitely participate again when I visit Miyako Island.

約1年前にパンプキン鍾乳洞＆ウミガメシュノーケリングのツアーに参加しました。前回も楽しませてもらったので、今回も参加させていただきました。
9:00に新城海岸に集合し、まずはウミガメシュノーケリングをやりました。海がとてもきれいで魚もたくさん見ることができました。またウミガメにもすぐに会うことができました。ウミガメと一緒に泳ぐことができ、間近で見ることができて思い出に残りました。11:00頃に終了し、昼食を取って、午後は13:00に別の海岸に再集合しました。午後はSUPの体験をしました。はじめは怖くてできるかなと不安でしたが、少しずつ慣れていき、立って漕ぐことができてよかったです。バランス感覚がない私でも立つことができたので、SUPはコツをつかんで慣れれば誰でもできると思います！15時頃まで楽しみました。
ウミガメシュノーケリングもSUPもたくさん写真を撮って下さいました。思い出に残るツアーでした。また宮古島を訪れた際には参加させていただきます。

Starting from a well-equipped base near the city center, everything about the tour was fantastic! My daughter and I enjoyed snorkeling for the first time in a while, and we felt completely prepared thanks to the initial safety briefing that ensured our safety and trust.

At the incredibly clear Shinjo Beach, we were quickly guided to a spot where we could see sea turtles up close, watching them eat algae, come up for air, and even see baby turtles following their parents. We made great use of our time, as we were also shown fish and coral, allowing us to enjoy the most beautiful sea we've ever seen. I'm thrilled that the many photos we received as a gift vividly bring back those memories!

Additionally, during the car rides and after getting ready at the base, we were given plenty of recommendations for spots and shops on the island. Thanks to that, our itinerary for the following days was fulfilling, and we truly appreciated it.

I participated in the sea turtle snorkeling and SUP tour. It was my first time in Miyako Island, and I'm glad I joined this tour. The weather was cloudy and the wind was very strong, which worried me before participating, but the sea was incredibly beautiful and it became a wonderful memory.

For the SUP, the instructor was very thorough in teaching each step, and even though it was my first time, I was able to enjoy it. They took a lot of photos for us.

During snorkeling, I was lucky enough to encounter three sea turtles! I was deeply moved to see them eating and coming up to the surface for air. We participated as a family of five. We called several times due to the bad weather forecast the day before, and they were very kind during those calls. They checked the conditions in advance and started the activity earlier for us. The explanations from the two well-mannered male staff members were easy to understand and reassuring. They provided all the necessary equipment like wetsuits and fins, and the shop was clean, which made the hot shower after returning very much appreciated.

We joined with the hope of seeing one or two turtles, but we were amazed to see so many! They also helped us look for Nemo and took several photos, making sure we had a great time. During the 30-minute drive to the beach, they recommended delicious places to eat in Miyako Island, and we actually got to visit one of them. Thank you very much. If we come to Miyako Island again, we will definitely use your services.

家族5人で参加。前日からの悪天候予報で何度もお電話させて頂いたのですがその際もとても親切でした。事前に様子を確認して下さりお時間を早めてスタートして下さいました。品のある男性2人スタッフさんの説明も分かりやすく安心出来ました。ウェットスーツ、フィンなども全て貸してくださり店内も清潔感があり帰ってきてからの熱いシャワーも有難かったです。
子供たちと多分1，2匹見れたら良いねと言いながら参加しましたがいっぱいカメさんがして感動しました。ニモも探して見せてくださり、写真も何枚も取ってくださり一生懸命楽しませて下さいました。
ビーチまでの30分の車中も宮古島の美味しいお店を教えてくださり実際、そこにも行けました。本当に有難うございました。また宮古島に来たらぜひ利用させて下さい。

I have used this service before, and this was my second time. The guide was very kind, and I felt safe and enjoyed myself.

Although the weather was not favorable this time, I was able to see several sea turtles on both occasions, and I was very happy to have taken many photos.

Even though we did SUP in the rain, I was able to spend a relaxing time in the waters of Miyako Island.

If you visit this island, you must enjoy the marine activities! It's wonderful to have a plan where you can spend the whole day having fun. I would like to use this service again next time.

In the morning, I saw five sea turtles up close while snorkeling at Shinjo Beach. It was so cute to see them when they came up for air. I also got to see many different fish while receiving various explanations!

In the afternoon, I enjoyed paddleboarding in a calm area while leisurely paddling and watching the fish. It was my first experience, and I had a lot of fun! I want to do it again!

The snorkeling happened to be a private experience, and our guide, Kumachan, taught us in a fun and thorough manner! He had a great vibe and took amazing photos and videos for us! Kumachan was the best ☺️. Also, I was lucky enough to see sea turtles twice and was moved by how close I could get to them.

In the afternoon, we went canoeing at Ingyamarine Garden. They also taught us carefully, and it was easy to paddle! There was even time for us to paddle freely, so I was able to leisurely go wherever I wanted and take my time taking photos, which made me very satisfied.

After the activities, I felt wonderfully tired, and it was an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much‼️ I highly recommend it, and I hope many people get to enjoy the sea of Miyako Island.

初めての宮古島、初めてのシュノーケリングとカヌー。まず、海の透明度にとても驚きました！

天気は快晴で、上から見だだけでも十分綺麗でしたが、実際潜ってみると鮮やかな魚と珊瑚でいっぱいで更に綺麗でした。シュノーケリングはたまたま貸し切り状態となり、ガイドさんのくまちゃんが楽しく丁寧に教えてくれました！ノリも良くて写真や動画も上手に撮ってくれました！くまちゃん最高☺️また、運良く海亀に2回も会えて、近い距離で見れたことに感動しました。

午後からはインギャーマリンガーデンでカヌー。こちらも丁寧に教えて下さって、簡単に漕ぐことができました！自由に漕いで来ていいよ〜という時間もあって、のんびり好きなところに行ったり、ゆっくり写真を撮ったりもできて大満足です。

アクティビティ後は楽し疲れで終われたことが凄く良かったし、一生の思い出です。本当にありがとうございました‼️
オススメなので是非色んな人にも宮古島の海を堪能して欲しいと思いました。

My trip to Miyako Island was my first experience. Since it was at the end of February, I thought it might be a bit cold, but I was blessed with great weather and had a wonderful experience.

In the morning, I explored the ocean by canoe, and after a meal, I went snorkeling in the afternoon. Playing with sea turtles was a rare and unforgettable experience. The coral and tropical fish were beautiful, like an aquarium.

However, I knew that the weather in Okinawa during this season isn't very good, but on the day of the tour, the wind was stronger than expected, so we switched from SUP to canoeing. We were able to do a little SUP in a spot sheltered from the wind in the bay.

During snorkeling, we encountered a turtle about 10 minutes in, and we were able to get close enough to touch it and swim together, which was amazing! If you're visiting Miyako Island for the first time, I absolutely recommend it! You can get up close to sea turtles (of course, you shouldn't touch them), and they are so focused on eating that they don't run away at all, it's quite amusing! Honestly, I thought there might be a chance of not seeing them since they are wild animals, but it seems like you can usually spot them✨ (The guide mentioned he has never had a trip without seeing them!). After seeing the sea turtles, you can snorkel and enjoy the beautiful coral and many fish. In the afternoon, we also did stand-up paddleboarding, and the guide was very kind and taught us, so even beginners can have a great time. It's a bit more challenging than canoeing, but once you get the hang of it, it's really enjoyable.

●シュノーケリング
海外セブ島のシュノーケリングは経験したことありましたが、国内シュノーケリングは初めてでした。長時間やりたいなら、海外の物価のお安いところとかも良いと思いますが、説明が英語だったりするので、お魚の説明、海の状態、亀のいる場所とかあいまいにしかわかりません。日本ならインストラクターさん日本語でわかりやすい！ゴーグル、フィンの付け方とかしっかりみてくれてありがたかったです。あとは、（セブの安いとこ基準なので、比較にならないですが）ウェットスーツ、靴、ゴーグル、フィン、新しくて良かったです。

●お写真
あとは何より写真！すごい綺麗な配置と色合い。シュノーケリングもSUPも終わって送られてきた写真をみて大満足でした。SUPは岩場に登って上から撮ってもらったお写真がお気に入りです。シュノーケリングは海の中の写真てほんと難しいんですよね。亀の写真、お魚の写真、亀と自分の写真、素敵な写真が送られてきました。海の中の下から上のアングルは潜る技術がないとだし、静かに近づいて安定しないと綺麗に撮れないし、海の中は動きづらいし、こんなにたくさん、参加者も数名いて、みんなをケアしながら、すごい！！の一言です。見返していつでも思い出せます。

I started with SUP! I was worried about whether I could stand on the board, but thanks to the guidance from Nakamura-san, I was able to do it. At first, we practiced freely in the calm bay and took some photos, and then we ventured a little outside the bay to feel the difference in the waves. By that time, I had gotten used to it, so it was really enjoyable.

After that, we moved to Shinjo Beach to look for sea turtles and went snorkeling. Luckily, we encountered about 4 to 5 turtles, both big and small. After seeing the turtles, we went to see Nemo and the fish living in the coral, and we had a great time before returning to the beach.

You can have photos taken while SUPing and snorkeling, so it's fine to go hands-free. I was very satisfied to have photos taken with the sea turtles too! The instructors are very kind and teach you well, so you can enjoy it with peace of mind! I highly recommend it.

最初にSUPをしました！SUPの上で立てるかどうか不安でしたが、レクチャーしてくれた中村さんの指導のかいあって立つことができました。最初は波の穏やかな湾内で自由に練習したり、写真を撮って貰ったりして、その後湾内から少し外に出て波の違いを感じます。だいぶ慣れた後なので楽しくできました。
その後、新城海岸へ移動してウミガメさんを探してシュノーケルをします。ラッキーなことに大きい子や小さい子4〜5匹くらいに会えました。
ウミガメさんを見てから珊瑚に住むニモやお魚を見に行きたっぷり楽しんで海岸へ戻りました。
SUPとシュノーケルの写真は撮って貰えるので手ぶらで行っても大丈夫です。ウミガメさんと一緒にも撮って貰えて大満足です♬
インストラクターの方が親切に教えてくれるので安心して楽しむことができます！オススメです。

Yuki, our guide, was very kind and cute, and just talking with her was already a lot of fun! She properly guided us during the SUP and took beautiful photos for us! We also got to see a lot of sea turtles! The current was strong, but she made sure we were safe while proceeding, so I felt secure swimming. I had my first SUP experience and snorkeling trip in Okinawa with a friend! We went snorkeling in the morning and did SUP in the afternoon. The water was incredibly clear during snorkeling, and I was able to see not only fish but also sea turtles! It was so cute to see the sea turtles while they were eating (*ˊᵕˋ*)♡ Additionally, the instructor took beautiful underwater photos, which were really stunning✨ I also got to meet clownfish, and it was so much fun!

I participated in a one-day tour for SUP and sea turtle snorkeling.

First, we experienced SUP at Imugya Marine Garden starting at 8:30. It was my first time trying SUP, but the instructions on how to stand and paddle were very thorough, so I was able to stand up quickly! Although the weather was bad with strong winds and some rain, the water was clear enough to see fish.

The snorkeling in the afternoon was scheduled for 14:30. I had half given up hope of seeing sea turtles since the guide mentioned we might not see any, but we encountered one just before the end of the session!

This was an experience in mid-September.

We started our SUP experience at Imugya Marine Garden at 10:30 AM. It was my first time, but the guide provided thorough instructions throughout, so I had no worries at all. The location was in a bay, making it calm and easy to paddle for beginners and women. Since we went on a weekday, we were the only group there, which allowed us to enjoy the experience even more freely. The guide took many beautiful photos at several spots, so there was no need to bring a camera. Additionally, the fact that they uploaded the photos the same day (for free) was a big plus. The experience lasted about an hour.

After a break, we had a snorkeling experience at Shinjo Beach starting at 2:30 PM. There were about five groups in the afternoon. They claimed a high probability of encountering sea turtles, and I felt we were almost guaranteed to see them. In fact, we encountered multiple turtles at once. They take photos of you with the turtles, so you won’t have strangers in your pictures. It does require some physical effort to swim a bit offshore, but life jackets are provided, and the water is shallow enough to stand, plus the guide offers solid support, so even those who are not good swimmers need not worry. This experience lasted about an hour and a half.

Neither experience provides wetsuits, so I recommend that those going at the same time (especially women) take sun protection measures (like wearing clothes or pants over your swimsuit that can get wet). Also, neither location has showers or changing rooms, so please bring a towel. They provide each person with a bottle of fresh water to rinse off, which is sufficient to clean up, so there’s no problem.

約1時間ほどの体験でした。
間自由時間があり、次は14時半から新城海岸にてシュノーケル体験をしました。午後は5組ほどいました。こちらは高確率でウミガメに出会えるのがウリとのことですが、感覚としてはほぼ確実に会うことができます。実際一度に1匹のみならず複数匹出会えました。ウミガメと一組ずつ写真を撮ってくれますので知らない人が一緒に映ることはないです。やや沖まで泳ぐので若干体力を使いますが、ライフジャケットはもちろん付いていますし、浅瀬であり足がつくレベル、ガイドさんがしっかりサポートしてくれるので泳ぎが苦手な人でも心配ありません。
1時間半ぐらいの体験でした。

どちらの体験もウェットスーツはないので同時期に行かれる人(特に女性)は日焼け対策(濡れても良い服・パンツを上から着るなど)をおすすめします。また、どちらもシャワーや更衣室が完備されていない場所になるのでタオルは持参ください。シャワーは真水のボトルを1人一つずつ支給いただけるのでそれで十分身体を流せるので問題ないです。
