However, I knew that the weather in Okinawa during this season isn't very good, but on the day of the tour, the wind was stronger than expected, so we switched from SUP to canoeing. During this season, there are days when it can be cold even while wearing a wetsuit, so be cautious of the cold.

The weather was bad from the day we arrived, so things didn't go as planned, but Adventure Pipi was very flexible and accommodating, which was a great help. Thanks to them, we were able to do the pumpkin hall exploration and SUP that we wanted to do in Miyako Island. Imugya Marine Garden was also a beautiful place with high transparency! The guide was friendly and took pictures for us at various spots, and since we were experienced, we had plenty of free time, which was enjoyable. If I had to mention something, the coin shower only had cold water, which was disappointing for us as we were leaving on the last day.

おかげで宮古島でやりたかったパンプキンホール探検もSUPもなんとかできました
イムギャーマリンガーデンも透明度が高く素敵なところでした!ガイドさんも感じが良くて所々写真撮ってくれたり、経験者と言うことで自由時間もたくさん頂けて楽しかったです欲を言えばコインシャワーが水しか出なかったので最終日でそのまま帰る私達には残念でした。

The water was very clear, and I could see the corals growing below. Since it was an evening course, I found it great that I could schedule activities in the morning or afternoon, making it easier to plan my sightseeing.

This time I experienced SUP in the evening, but I thought it might be nice to try it during the day when the underwater visibility is better.

I experienced this during my trip to Miyako with my girlfriend. It was both of our first time trying stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), but thanks to the kind and attentive instructor, we truly enjoyed ourselves. The view of the beautiful sea of Miyako Island was absolutely amazing.

By chance, we were able to witness the sunset under the Irabu Bridge, a sight that is etched in my memory. The locals seem to call it "umi pocha," and it was a scene I will never forget. Miyako has so many attractions, from the sunrise, sea, sunset, to the starry sky, but I think the experience of watching the sunset from the sea is quite rare.

I especially recommend this experience for couples!

*To all the gentlemen, please be cautious when boarding, as getting too excited might cause you to fall in!

I visited Miyako Island for the first time. I wanted to enjoy the beauty of the ocean, so I joined a tour that offered both canoeing and snorkeling!

The water's clarity is incredible!! Even while riding in the canoe, it feels like I'm flying in the sky.

Diving into the ocean was even more moving...

Within just five minutes of starting snorkeling, I encountered a turtle! I was able to get close enough to reach out my hand!

I participated in the SUP and snorkeling plan. The weather was great, and it felt wonderful! The instructor was bright, kind, and very helpful! I was nervous since it was my first time with SUP, but I was able to stand up quickly and really enjoyed it. It felt so good that I wanted to do it even more. On November 15th, around 4 PM, we gathered at the Imugya parking lot. There were only two participants, and a staff member (a man in his 20s) arrived on time.

After preparing our clothes, we walked to the nearby Imugya Marine Garden. The SUPs were already set up, and we were taught how to paddle and ride the SUP before heading into the sea. Since it was evening, the temperature was likely around 20 degrees, and the seawater felt cold at first. It should be fine as long as you don't fall in.

There are two patterns: sitting and standing. After about 30 minutes of playing around on the SUP, the sky gradually changed to a sunset. Finally, the sun set, marking the end of the activity.

I only brought snorkeling goggles and did a bit of swimming and diving, but it was a little cold, so that's at your own risk. The staff member was polite and kind, and he took photos with his smartphone, which he sent to us via AirDrop at the end. I also brought my smartphone and GoPro and took a lot of pictures.

One thing to note is that there are no restrooms, so it's better to take care of that before starting. Additionally, it's obvious to bring a change of clothes and a towel, but I also thought it would be good to bring a water bottle and something to wash your feet at the end.

The reason I didn't give a perfect rating is that I wanted to see the sunset, but at Imugya Marine Garden, we could only see the sunset sky, not the actual sunset. I mentioned this during the activity, and they explained that the location is determined by the weather, wind direction, and sunset time.

However, aside from that, it was truly a great tour and a memorable experience. Also, since there were only the two of us participating this time, we were lucky to enjoy a private experience.

11/15の16時頃、イムギャー駐車場に集合。参加者は自分たち2名のみで、時間通りに担当の方(20代男性)が1名来ました。
衣服の準備をして、目の前にあるイムギャーマリンガーデンまで徒歩にて向かいました。すでにSUPが準備されており、パドル操作とSUPの乗り方について教えてもらい、海へ入ります。夕方だったので恐らく気温は20度くらいで最初は海水は冷たく感じるかと思います。落ちなければ大丈夫ですが。
座位で行うパターンと立位で行うパターンがあります。30分ぐらいSUPでぐるぐると遊んでいたら、徐々に夕焼け空へと変わってきました。最後は日が沈み、終了となります。
私はシュノーケルのゴーグルのみを持っていき、少し泳いだり潜ったりもしましたが、少し寒いのでそこは自己責任ですね。笑
担当の方は丁寧で優しく、とても良い方でした。写真もスマホで撮影してくれて、最後にAirDropで送ってもらえます。私自身もスマホとGoProを持って行き、撮りまくりました。
あとはトイレが無いので、始まる前に済ませておいた方が良いです。他にも着替え、タオルは当然ですが、ペットボトルに水を入れて、最後に足を洗えるようにした方がいいかなと思いました。
評価が最高ではない理由としては、夕陽が見たくて参加したのですが、イムギャーマリンガーデンでは夕陽は見れず、夕焼け空のみの景色であったからです。そのことを行なっている最中に話したのですが、場所に関しては天候や風向き、日の入時間に寄って場所を決めているとのことでした。
ですが、その事以外は本当に良いツアーであり、思い出に残るものだと思います。また、今回はたまたま私たち2人しか参加者がいなかったこともあり、貸切状態で楽しむこともできたのラッキーでした。

The instructor was kind and thorough, teaching us step by step how to hold the paddle, how to get on the SUP, and how to paddle, making it reassuring for beginners. My companion struggled at first, but thanks to the instructor's careful guidance, they were able to paddle standing up by the end. Additionally, the instructor took photos at appropriate times, allowing us to fully focus on the SUP experience without distraction. During the program, the instructor also shared little tidbits and information about Miyako Island, making the tour very fulfilling. Unfortunately, on the day of our experience, it was pouring rain instead of a sunset, but it was still a wonderful experience.

インストラクターさんが優しく丁寧に、パドルの持ち方、SUPの乗り方、漕ぎ方、、、のようにステップを踏んで教えてくれるので初心者でも安心です。

当日は残念ながらサンセットが見れるどころか大雨でしたが、素敵な体験となりました。

I participated in an afternoon SUP tour. The weather was drizzly, with strong winds, making for a challenging tour. I had some experience with SUP, but this was my first time participating in such strong winds, and it really took a toll on my stamina. Due to the wind, I bumped into a rock and fell into the sea. This also became a good memory. Despite being exhausted, the guide helped me and I was able to rejoin everyone. We also had photos taken at various points, which made for great memories. I would like to participate again if I come back to Miyako Island.

If you're visiting Miyako Island for the first time, I absolutely recommend it! You can get up close to sea turtles (of course, you shouldn't touch them), and they are so focused on eating that they don't run away at all, it's quite amusing! Honestly, I thought there might be a chance of not seeing them since they are wild animals, but it seems like you can usually spot them✨ (The guide mentioned he has never had a trip without seeing them!). After seeing the sea turtles, you can snorkel and enjoy the beautiful coral and many fish. In the afternoon, we also did stand-up paddleboarding, and the guide was very kind and taught us, so even beginners can have a great time. It's a bit more challenging than canoeing, but once you get the hang of it, it's really enjoyable.

I went snorkeling in the morning. I thought the sea might be a bit cold in early November, but once I put on the wetsuit, I felt completely warm and was able to enjoy it to the fullest! I was so moved to see a sea turtle up close! It was so cute watching it eat! The staff showed us where there were lots of fish, and I was very satisfied to see various kinds of fish!

In the afternoon, I did stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). I had the impression that it would be difficult, but thanks to the careful instruction, I was able to get used to it quickly! The staff took a lot of photos, so I could keep them as memories! The staff were kind and taught us patiently, so I think even beginners can enjoy it thoroughly! I was torn between stand-up paddleboarding and canoeing, but since I'm not young anymore, I opted for the canoe that two of us could paddle together.

Around the time we were supposed to meet, thick clouds appeared, so it wasn't the perfect sunset, but I was able to take some strangely beautiful photos. Our tour guide shared information about sightseeing spots, and we had a fun chat while paddling under the Irabu Bridge. It was a rare experience to look up at the bridge from the sea, something I wouldn't have seen without this experience.

There were a few waves, and my backside got a bit wet, but on the way back, the two of us paddled smoothly and didn't get too tired. The colors of the sky and the sea changed with the time, making for a comfortable canoe trip while enjoying their beauty.

When I come back to Miyako Island, I want to try to capture even more beautiful sunset photos. Maybe I'll challenge myself with stand-up paddleboarding next time! It was a lot of fun. Thank you very much.

待ち合わせた時間くらいから厚い雲が出現してきて最高の夕日！とまではいきませんでしたが、不思議な綺麗な写真が撮れました。
ツアーガイドの方に観光スポットなど教えてもらったり楽しくおしゃべりしながら漕いで伊良部大橋の下へ。この体験をしなければ見られなかった、海から橋を見上げるという貴重な体験もできました。
少し波もあり多少お尻が濡れましたが、戻る時も2人でスイスイと漕いであまり疲れなかったです。
時間によって空の色も海の色も変化するので、きれいなそれらを愉しみながら快適なカヌー旅でした。

また宮古島に来た時には、もっと綺麗な夕日写真が取れるようリベンジしたいと思います。次はサップに挑戦しようかな！

It was my first time trying SUP, and they taught me how to ride in a short amount of time, so I was able to stand up right away. There are areas outside the bay where the current is strong, and in shallow spots, you can get stuck. Once you’re out in the sea, it’s hard to know where the dangerous places are, so I definitely couldn’t have done it alone. I was really glad for the instructor's explanations. 海外セブ島のシュノーケリングは経験したことありましたが、国内シュノーケリングは初めてでした。長時間やりたいなら、海外の物価のお安いところとかも良いと思いますが、説明が英語だったりするので、お魚の説明、海の状態、亀のいる場所とかあいまいにしかわかりません。日本ならインストラクターさん日本語でわかりやすい！ゴーグル、フィンの付け方とかしっかりみてくれてありがたかったです。あとは、（セブの安いとこ基準なので、比較にならないですが）ウェットスーツ、靴、ゴーグル、フィン、新しくて良かったです。

●お写真
あとは何より写真！すごい綺麗な配置と色合い。シュノーケリングもSUPも終わって送られてきた写真をみて大満足でした。SUPは岩場に登って上から撮ってもらったお写真がお気に入りです。シュノーケリングは海の中の写真てほんと難しいんですよね。亀の写真、お魚の写真、亀と自分の写真、素敵な写真が送られてきました。海の中の下から上のアングルは潜る技術がないとだし、静かに近づいて安定しないと綺麗に撮れないし、海の中は動きづらいし、こんなにたくさん、参加者も数名いて、みんなをケアしながら、すごい！！の一言です。見返していつでも思い出せます。

It was a day with many clouds, and we couldn't see the sunset. It was my first experience with stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), and I was able to learn how to paddle and stand properly thanks to the thorough instructions. I felt both nervous about falling and excited at the same time. I participated with three groups of six people, and we had a great time cheering each other on when someone from another group fell in.

As for areas for improvement, while many photos were taken, the instructor seemed to focus on taking more pictures of their favorites, and the data was sent around noon the day after the experience, which left a somewhat disappointing impression in terms of professionalism.

SUPは初体験でしたが、こぎ方や立ち方など丁寧に教えていただけ、落ちないかというどきどきと楽しさを体験できました。3組6名と参加しましたが、別の組の方が落ちた際などみんなで盛り上がれる楽しい時間を過ごさせていただきました。

It was my first experience with stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), and I was able to enjoy it thanks to the thorough instructions provided! I was worried I might fall, but the wind wasn't strong, and the conditions were stable, so I managed to finish without falling.
*That said, you will still get wet up to your knees (when entering and exiting the water).*

Since it was late October, I thought a bikini and shorts might be too cold, but I warmed up while paddling, so it wasn't a big deal. (I think wearing long sleeves and leggings for sun protection is a good idea!)

Whether you can see the sunset depends on the weather, so it's a bit of luck! However, I was able to catch a glimpse through a break in the clouds!

The entire activity, from the lecture to paddling towards the bridge and back, took about an hour and a half. Although it was a short time for an activity, I had a fulfilling experience!

Since it was a group activity, I was a bit worried about other people appearing in the photos, but they took great pictures, and I was very satisfied! Thank you!

複数組合同で行うので、写真など他の人が映ることをすこし心配していましたが、ばっちり写真を撮ってくださり大満足です！

I had my first SUP experience here. They called to confirm the reservation the day before, so I was able to approach the day with peace of mind. The SUP course was well thought out to ensure we could enjoy ourselves thoroughly, and I was able to have fun without getting bored the entire time. I started with SUP! I was worried about whether I could stand on the board, but thanks to the guidance from Nakamura-san, I was able to do it. At first, we practiced freely in the calm bay and took some photos, and then we ventured a little outside the bay to feel the difference in the waves. By that time, I had gotten used to it, so it was really enjoyable.

After that, we moved to Shinjo Beach to look for sea turtles and went snorkeling. Luckily, we encountered about 4 to 5 turtles, both big and small. After seeing the turtles, we went to see Nemo and the fish living in the coral, and we had a great time before returning to the beach.

You can have photos taken while SUPing and snorkeling, so it's fine to go hands-free. I was very satisfied to have photos taken with the sea turtles too! The instructors are very kind and teach you well, so you can enjoy it with peace of mind! I highly recommend it.

最初にSUPをしました！SUPの上で立てるかどうか不安でしたが、レクチャーしてくれた中村さんの指導のかいあって立つことができました。最初は波の穏やかな湾内で自由に練習したり、写真を撮って貰ったりして、その後湾内から少し外に出て波の違いを感じます。だいぶ慣れた後なので楽しくできました。
その後、新城海岸へ移動してウミガメさんを探してシュノーケルをします。ラッキーなことに大きい子や小さい子4〜5匹くらいに会えました。
ウミガメさんを見てから珊瑚に住むニモやお魚を見に行きたっぷり楽しんで海岸へ戻りました。
SUPとシュノーケルの写真は撮って貰えるので手ぶらで行っても大丈夫です。ウミガメさんと一緒にも撮って貰えて大満足です♬
インストラクターの方が親切に教えてくれるので安心して楽しむことができます！オススメです。

Yuki, our guide, was very kind and cute, and just talking with her was already a lot of fun! She properly guided us during the SUP and took beautiful photos for us! We also got to see a lot of sea turtles! The current was strong, but she made sure we were safe while proceeding, so I felt secure swimming. It was my first time canoeing, but I was kindly taught and had a lot of fun! I thought it would require a lot of physical strength, but I was able to glide smoothly with just a little paddling. I had my first SUP experience and snorkeling trip in Okinawa with a friend! We went snorkeling in the morning and did SUP in the afternoon. The water was incredibly clear during snorkeling, and I was able to see not only fish but also sea turtles! It was so cute to see the sea turtles while they were eating (*ˊᵕˋ*)♡ Additionally, the instructor took beautiful underwater photos, which were really stunning✨ I also got to meet clownfish, and it was so much fun!

In the afternoon's SUP session, I was a bit anxious since it was my first time, but the instructor was very thorough in teaching us, so I was able to get on the board relatively quickly! They also provided advice in difficult spots and connected the boards to prevent us from drifting apart, so I felt well taken care of ( ⸝⸝⸝ᵕᴗᵕ⸝⸝⸝ ). I participated in a one-day tour for SUP and sea turtle snorkeling.

First, we experienced SUP at Imugya Marine Garden starting at 8:30. It was my first time trying SUP, but the instructions on how to stand and paddle were very thorough, so I was able to stand up quickly! Although the weather was bad with strong winds and some rain, the water was clear enough to see fish.

The snorkeling in the afternoon was scheduled for 14:30. I had half given up hope of seeing sea turtles since the guide mentioned we might not see any, but we encountered one just before the end of the session!

I think the weather conditions were poor that day, but I still had a great time and was very satisfied!

まず最初に8:30からイムギャーマリンガーデンにてSUPを体験。今回がSUP初体験でしたが、立ち方や漕ぎ方を丁寧に説明してくださるのですぐに立てるようになりました！当日は強風で天気も悪く、雨が降るタイミングもありましたが海の透明度は十分で魚も見ることができました。

The staff member was a very active and cheerful young man! The weather was sunny, but there were some waves due to a typhoon approaching, though it wasn't a problem. At first, he kindly taught us the points, and then during the practice, he watched closely and gave us advice. My partner fell into the sea several times, but since we were wearing life jackets, there was no danger of drowning. The staff took many photos with the sunset in the background, which was also very beautiful. Once we got the hang of it, he suggested challenges and competitions for us to ride on one paddleboard together, and we were able to enjoy ourselves throughout. This will likely become one of my best memories in Miyako Island. I definitely want to do this again when I come back. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

We were delighted to receive many photos that he took and sent to us. We set off from Sunset Beach in Miyako Island and reached the area under Irabu Bridge to watch the sunset! The view was breathtaking! It became a wonderful memory of our Miyako trip as we paddled the canoe in sync and enjoyed the stunning scenery. Although it's difficult to see the sunset beautifully when there are clouds, we were blessed with good weather and had a fantastic experience, leaving us very satisfied! For those who are going, I recommend taking motion sickness medication if you're prone to seasickness, as the canoe can sway with the waves. Also, it seems that it's quite rare to fall into the sea from the canoe, so I think it's a good idea to bring a waterproof case for your phone that you can hang around your neck! 9月24日2人でカヤックに参加しました！ツアーのガイドさんは気さくでかつ紳士的な方で、安心して参加できました。何枚も写真を撮って送って下さり、嬉しかったです◎宮古島サンセットビーチからカヌーで出発し、伊良部大橋の下あたりまできて夕日を見ました！絶景でした！また、2人で息を合わせてカヌーを漕いで絶景を眺めることが出来て宮古旅のいい思い出になりました！夕日は雲があると綺麗に見るのが難しいですが、天気にも恵まれとていい体験をさせてもらい、満足です！これから行く方にアドバイスですが、波でカヌーが揺れるので、船酔いしやすい方は酔い止めを飲んでくるといいかもしれないです。あと、カヌーはよっぽど海に落ちることはないそうなので、首からぶら掛ける携帯の防水ケースにスマホを入れて持っていくといいと思います！カヌーの上から自分で夕日を撮ったりできました(*^^*)

This was an experience in mid-September.

We started our SUP experience at Imugya Marine Garden at 10:30 AM. It was my first time, but the guide provided thorough instructions throughout, so I had no worries at all. The location was in a bay, making it calm and easy to paddle for beginners and women. Since we went on a weekday, we were the only group there, which allowed us to enjoy the experience even more freely. The guide took many beautiful photos at several spots, so there was no need to bring a camera. Additionally, the fact that they uploaded the photos the same day (for free) was a big plus. The experience lasted about an hour.

After a break, we had a snorkeling experience at Shinjo Beach starting at 2:30 PM. There were about five groups in the afternoon. They claimed a high probability of encountering sea turtles, and I felt we were almost guaranteed to see them. In fact, we encountered multiple turtles at once. They take photos of you with the turtles, so you won’t have strangers in your pictures. It does require some physical effort to swim a bit offshore, but life jackets are provided, and the water is shallow enough to stand, plus the guide offers solid support, so even those who are not good swimmers need not worry. This experience lasted about an hour and a half.

Neither experience provides wetsuits, so I recommend that those going at the same time (especially women) take sun protection measures (like wearing clothes or pants over your swimsuit that can get wet). Also, neither location has showers or changing rooms, so please bring a towel. They provide each person with a bottle of fresh water to rinse off, which is sufficient to clean up, so there’s no problem.

朝10時半からSUPをイムギャーマリンガーデンにて体験。初体験でしたがガイドさんから終始丁寧に指導してもらえるので不安は全くなかったです。体験場所は湾になっていて終始凪のため初心者や女性でも漕ぎやすい場所でした。平日に行ったので自分たちの組しかいなく、尚更自由に体験できました。また何個かのスポットで何枚も綺麗な写真を撮ってくれるのでカメラはわざわざ持参しなくて良いです。また即日で写真をアップロード(無料)してくれた点はポイント高いです。
約1時間ほどの体験でした。
間自由時間があり、次は14時半から新城海岸にてシュノーケル体験をしました。午後は5組ほどいました。こちらは高確率でウミガメに出会えるのがウリとのことですが、感覚としてはほぼ確実に会うことができます。実際一度に1匹のみならず複数匹出会えました。ウミガメと一組ずつ写真を撮ってくれますので知らない人が一緒に映ることはないです。やや沖まで泳ぐので若干体力を使いますが、ライフジャケットはもちろん付いていますし、浅瀬であり足がつくレベル、ガイドさんがしっかりサポートしてくれるので泳ぎが苦手な人でも心配ありません。
1時間半ぐらいの体験でした。

どちらの体験もウェットスーツはないので同時期に行かれる人(特に女性)は日焼け対策(濡れても良い服・パンツを上から着るなど)をおすすめします。また、どちらもシャワーや更衣室が完備されていない場所になるのでタオルは持参ください。シャワーは真水のボトルを1人一つずつ支給いただけるのでそれで十分身体を流せるので問題ないです。
