We saw many boats watching the same whales at the same time, but I felt that the whales came closer to our boat and we were able to see more than on other boats. After an hour of observation, when we said goodbye to the whales, they waved back at us, which made me feel like they recognized us. It was truly an amazing tour. Personally, I love airplanes, so I was thrilled to see them up close from the boat. I went with the mindset that it would be lucky to encounter whales since it was nature, but I ended up seeing so many whales and was really impressed.

Since we went after checking out of the hotel, we had a carry-on suitcase, but it was a relief that they were able to hold it for us at the reception.

We boarded a three-story boat and went to the second floor to reach our destination. Once we arrived, we went to the first floor to see the fish through the windows. Although the level of the boat's sway and visibility weren't great that day, we were still able to see them properly! On the way back, we enjoyed the scenery from the second and third floors.

It became a wonderful memory!

In mid-March, I participated with my family of four (my spouse, a 3-year-old, and a 0-year-old). On the way there, my wife and child got seasick due to the unexpectedly high waves and rocking of the boat, but we were able to refresh both our minds and bodies during our break and beach stroll on Tokashiki Island. The beach was beautiful and felt great.

During the whale watching, with the guidance of our guide and captain, we were able to see whales multiple times! (They mentioned that there were more sightings than usual.) It was an exhilarating moment that made us forget about the seasickness.

I recommend that those who are not good with vehicles or have little experience on small boats take motion sickness medication in advance.

船酔いも忘れて大興奮のひと時でした。

I was worried because the weather hadn't been great until the day before, but we set sail safely. Just as advertised, the catamaran didn't rock too much, and we arrived at the viewing spot without any issues. We encountered a mother and baby whale; we could clearly see the baby whale spouting and the mother whale's impressive dive with her tail fin. It was really wonderful.
