It was mid-March, but the weather was cloudy and cold. The boat swayed even on the way to the whale watching spot, but it was especially rough after we arrived and turned off the engine. Motion sickness medication was a must.

This was my second time whale watching, but I saw a breach for the first time. It was a bit far away, but it was a wonderful experience.

3月中旬でしたが天気は曇りで寒かったです。
クジラ観察スポットまでも揺れますが、着いてエンジンを止めてからが揺れて辛いです。酔い止めは必須でした。

ホエールウォッチングは2回目ですが、初めてブリーチを見られました。ちょっと距離はありましたが素晴らしい体験です。

It took some time to find the whales at first, but after that, we spotted them multiple times, and the crew brought the boat closer, which made it quite enjoyable. While other boats were heading back, our boat kept saying, "One more time! One more time!" and made another attempt. I would love to participate again when I go to Okinawa.

はじめに鯨を見つけるまで時間がかかりましたが、そのあとは何回も見つけては、船を近づけてくれ、おかげでかなり楽しめました。
他の船が帰って行く中、私らの船はあと一回！あと一回！と思ってくれたのか、トライしてくれました。
また、沖縄に行ったら、参加したいです。

I have been to Okinawa Island more than ten times, but I had never participated in a whale tour. This time, I joined to celebrate a special year for the two of us. I was glad to see the whales, but there were too many participants. I think a reasonable number would be around 15 to 20 people, but with over 30, it was difficult to see the whales from the boat at the desired spots. In fact, there were quite a few people who couldn't see anything due to the poor viewing locations. Additionally, I felt that for safety reasons, the number of participants should be limited.

沖縄本島には、10回以上来ていますが、クジラツアーには参加していませんでした。
2人の記念の年に、今回は参加しました。
クジラは見れて良かったのですが、参加者が多すぎます。15人から20人くらいまでが妥当だと思いますが、30人以上では、見たい場所で船からクジラを見ることができません。現に場所が悪く見れない方も結構いました。また、安全上を考えても人数を絞るべきだと感じました。

The small boat tour of the whirlpools in Naruto and the drift ice was totally fine, but I experienced seasickness for the first time in my life 🤮.

After arriving on the island, we had a short 10-minute drive to the beach, and then immediately had curry (this was the problem!). About 20 minutes after eating, we went scuba diving. Since the schedule was tight (we were rushed), we finished and had no time for a shower or even to use the restroom before heading back to the port for whale watching, circling on the water for 30 minutes.

Of course, I got seasick.

The inside of the boat was like a triage center. I think about half of the people were completely seasick, probably thinking, "I just want to get back to Naha Port quickly."

It would have been nice if they had allowed us to choose lighter snacks that are easier to digest.

そりゃ船酔いするよ

船内は野戦病院状態
恐らく半分くらいの人は完全な船酔いで『もう良いから早く那覇港戻って』っ思ったはず

消化のいい軽食を選択出来るようにしてくれると有り難かったかな？

I went on my first whale watching tour last February. This time, I used this tour company for my second trip on March 4th. The staff worked hard to find the whales, so I was able to see them well both times. I want to go again next year. The transportation to Kokusai Street, the boat, and the staff were all very kind. I signed up for an option that included a set of three anti-seasickness items, and the mysterious "anti-seasickness glasses" might have actually worked.

去年の2月に初。今回3/4に2回目のクジラウォッチングでこちらのツアー会社にお世話になりました。
スタッフが一生懸命に、クジラを探してくれるので、2回ともよく見えました。
来年も行きたいです。
国際通りまでの送迎も、船内も、スタッフさんがとても親切です。
オプションで、酔い止め3点セットというのがあり申込みましたが、不思議な『酔い防止メガネ』が効果あったかもしれないです。

I experienced it on February 10.
I was worried about seasickness, but I was okay, perhaps because I took motion sickness medication.
I was able to see whales, and I could see them quite closely. I saw them several times swimming side by side, with their tails raised.
It seems we found the whales quickly.
Whale watching was fun.

2月10日に体験しました。
船酔いを心配していましたが、酔い止めを服用していたからか大丈夫でした。
クジラにも会えたし、わりと近くで見られました。しっぽを振り上げ、親子で並んで泳ぐ姿が何度も見れました。
クジラが見つかるのが、早かったようです。
クジラ探し楽しかった。

It's extremely difficult to capture whales with a smartphone or camera, so it's best to give up quickly and leave the photography to the staff. They will upload the photos for you. I'm impressed by the remarkable shots they managed to take, such as the small whale jumping and the photo of the mother whale's tail.

スマホやカメラでクジラを撮影するのは至難の業なので、さっさと諦め撮影はスタッフに任せるのが正解です。写真はアップしてもらえます。このタイミングの写真がよく撮れたなと感心する小クジラのジャンプの写真や親クジラの尾の写真など印象的なシーンの写真がアップされていて驚きです。

I had heard beforehand that we might see a jump once for every ten attempts, so I gave up and was busy filming the baby whale's tail slap when suddenly it jumped out from the back, causing everyone to go wild (laughs).

It miraculously jumped right when I had my phone ready, and I was able to capture its jumping姿.

I could feel the staff's desire to entertain us. Thank you very much. I hope to come back next year if I can.

事前にジャンプは10回きたら1回見られるかなとお話しされてたので、諦めて子クジラのテールスラップを撮影してたら奥からドーンと飛び出してきてみんなで大騒ぎになりました（笑）

携帯構えてるところでジャンプしてくれて奇跡的にジャンプ姿をおさめる事ができました。

スタッフさんも楽しませてあげようという想いが伝わってきました。ありがとうございました。また来年、行けたらいいな。

This time, I challenged myself to diving for the first time in 35 years as a celebration of my 60th birthday. The weather wasn't great, and the boat was rocking, which made me quite anxious, but thanks to the staff's quick guidance and instructions, I was able to dive safely. Amid the excitement and nervousness, I truly enjoyed swimming in the beautiful ocean after such a long time. I had a wonderful experience touching the clownfish playing among the sea anemones. Thank you very much.

今回還暦の記念に35年ぶりのダイビングを挑戦しました。天候もあまり良くなく、船も揺れて、いろんな不安もありましたが、スタッフの方々のテキパキとした誘導や指示より安全に行うことができました。ドキドキワクワクの中、ほんとに久しぶりに海の中の素敵な遊泳を楽しむことができました。
イソギンチャクの中で遊んでいるクマノミに触れたりと素敵な経験ができました。ありがとうございました。

The sea was rough, and the conditions were just on the edge of cancellation, so the boat rocked quite a bit, but I was very satisfied to see the whales. When the whales appeared, the staff kindly guided us, saying, "This is the best spot to see them!" Thank you very much.

海が荒れて翌日は欠航になるという位のギリギリのコンディションで船は大分揺れましたが、クジラを見ることができて大満足です。
クジラが現れた際にはスタッフさんが「こちらが見やすいですよ！」と丁寧に案内してくれました。
本当にありがとうございました。

I participated in a whale watching tour departing from Chatan, Okinawa, by myself. Initially, I had some anxiety, but the check-in and guidance were very smooth, and the staff were very kind, allowing me to create wonderful memories.

ホエールウォッチングに1人で参加させて頂きました。当初不安もありましたが、受付から案内迄とてもスムーズで有り、スタッフの方がとても親切で、良い思い出とする事ができました

I think it depends on the weather, but the boat rocked quite a bit, and the boarding time was long. If you went outside, you would get soaked from the strong winds and waves, making it quite hard. We saw whales several times, but even so, I felt like I wouldn't need to go again for the second time. Some people felt sick and were sleeping the whole time.

天候にもよると思いますが、かなり船が揺れ、また乗船時間も長く、外に出れば強風と波でびしょ濡れになり、なかなかハードでした。鯨は何度も見れましたが、それでも二回目は行かなくて良いなと思ってしまいました。何人かの方は、気分が悪くなりずっと寝ていました。

I was a bit anxious before the whale watching experience, but once on board, the staff were very accommodating, and I had a great time. The whales seemed to be a bit stressed too (laughs), and they made quite an impression that even surprised the staff. The staff provided clear explanations on-site. It took some time to see the next whale after the first two, but once the captain changed the location, we quickly spotted a whale. Amazing job, captain. I will definitely participate again when I come back to Naha. Thank you, staff and captain.

ホエールウォッチング体験するまでは少しだけ不安でしたけど乗船するとスタッフさんの対応も大変良く◎楽しく過ごせました。クジラさんもストレス溜まってたみたいで（笑）スタッフさんまで驚くぐらいのアピールこの辺りはスタッフさんが現地で分かりやすく説明してくれます。2回見てから次見るまで時間かかったけど船長さんポイント変えたら速攻クジラさん出ました。凄いわ船長さん。また那覇に来た時は参加させて頂きます。スタッフさん。船長さん。ありがとうございました。

On the way to Tokashiki Island, we saw a whale. After arriving in Tokashiki Village, we quickly took a microbus to the beach. For lunch, we had curry, which was self-service, and the vegetable curry was delicious. The glass boat to the uninhabited island allowed us to see coral reefs and fish, and we had some free time on the uninhabited island to collect seashells and take photos—it went by in no time. On the way back, we also saw a whale during whale watching. It would have been nice to see a bit more of the tail, but since we saw one on the way there, I was very satisfied.

いきなり渡嘉敷島に向かう途中でクジラが見れました。そのあと渡嘉敷村に着くとすぐにマイクロバスでビーチの方へその後お昼をカレーは自分でセルフサービスで、野菜カレーおいしくいただきました。無人島へのグラスボートは珊瑚礁や魚も、無人島でしばし自由時間こちらも貝殻を拾ったり、写真を撮ったりあっという間
その後帰りのホエールウォッチングでも、クジラは見えました
もう少し尾が見れたらよかったですが、行きにみれたので、大満足です

I saw whales and their tails, and the whales even flipped over. It was great! Plus, the weather that day was very nice, with no rain and not much wind at sea. The captain's skills were impressive.

看到了鲸鱼和鲸鱼尾巴，鲸鱼还会翻身。很棒！而且当天天气非常好，没有下雨也没有太大的海风，这船长水平不错。

It's definitely worth a visit. Be sure to take motion sickness medication. I had a guy help me book it, and the experience was fantastic. Whales were spotted, and this place is truly like the ancient paradise of Penglai.

非常值得去看，一定要吃晕船药，我是让小哥帮我定的，形式非常好，鲸鱼出没，这里其实就是古代的蓬莱仙境。

On Tokashiki Island, I went to the observation deck and enjoyed the wonderful views of the surrounding Kerama Islands. On the way back, we went whale watching; although it was a bit far, we were able to see the whales jumping.

I was looking forward to the boat ride, but the waves were high, and my entire family got seasick.

The staff were very polite and took care of us kindly, but it was very disappointing that we didn't see a single whale.

I think it also depends on one's physical condition and constitution, but even if you usually don't get motion sickness, a boat can be different, and there's a possibility that you might get seasick and miss the chance to see whales. I think it's best for participants to keep this in mind.

楽しみに船に乗りましたが、波が高く、家族全員で船酔いしました。

スタッフの方の対応はとても丁寧で、優しく介抱していただきましたが、鯨が一目も見られず、とても残念でした。

体調や体質もあると思いますが、普段乗り物酔いをしなくても船は別もので、船酔いしてしまい、鯨を見るどころじゃなくなる可能性があることを念頭に参加された方がいいと思います。

Thanks to the captain's skill, we were able to see the whales from a great spot. The staff also shared various stories, which increased our knowledge about whales.

スタッフの皆さんも色んなお話をしていただいてくじらうんちくが増えました。

Due to the weather conditions, there was a cancellation the day before, and since the waves were a bit high, we were advised to take motion sickness medication. After two changes, I was half anxious and half excited about the departure. It was great to learn various things about whales from the staff's explanations. I felt reassured knowing that they would respond quickly if anyone felt unwell. I would like to participate again.

天候の具合で前日一日欠航だったあとということもあり、
波が高めなので酔い止めの薬飲んで来てくださいとのことでした。
2回変更後の出港は不安半分でどきどきしました。
係の方の解説で、クジラのことが色々わかってよかったです。
具合が悪くなっても、すぐに対応して貰えるので安心でした。
また参加したいと思います。

Since the whale watching starts in December, I had mixed expectations, but I was able to see a mother and baby whale up close. The guide was also very dedicated in helping us spot the whales. It turned out to be a very memorable activity.

ホエールウォッチが始まる12月ということで期待半分だったのですが、親子のクジラを間近で見ることができました。案内のお姉さんも一生懸命クジラを探してくれて助かりました。とても思い出に残るアクティビティーになりました。

I felt extremely seasick for three hours and threw up about five times... I think I saw a whale in the distance, but it was small and only for a moment, so I couldn't take a picture.

船酔いが激しく3時間ずっと気持ち悪く、5回くらい吐きました...
クジラは遠くの方で見えた気がしましたが小さめで一瞬だったので写真も撮れませんでした。

It was a day with high waves that caused the morning flight to be canceled, and the ride there felt especially like a thrilling amusement park attraction, with plenty of splashes. However, thanks to the guidance of the veteran crew, we were able to encounter a whale beautifully. We patiently waited for the whale to come up to the surface, and when we finally saw its back and tail, I was completely thrilled. It was wonderful.

午前の便が欠航になるような波の高い日で、行きは特に絶叫系の乗り物のようで波も浴び放題でしたが、ベテランクルーのみなさんの案内で見事にくじらに遭遇できました。くじらが水面まで上がってくるのをじっと待って、背中や尾びれが見えた時はすっかり興奮してしまいました。良かったです。

The sea wasn't too rough that day, but since it was a small boat, it rocked quite a bit, and there were some people who felt sick and ended up vomiting. If you are prone to motion sickness, I definitely recommend taking anti-nausea medication before boarding.

Unfortunately, we hardly saw any whales. We might have caught a glimpse of a tail a few times in the distance, but it was so brief that there was no time to take photos. Just being able to see them was a small consolation. So, the whale watching experience was disappointing this time.

However, Tokashiki Island was very nice. The conversations during the car ride around the island were also interesting. I was soothed by the beautiful sandy beaches and scenery.

Thanks to the tour that included landing on Tokashiki Island, the disappointment of not seeing whales was somewhat alleviated.

当日海はそこまで荒れていませんでしたが、小さな船なのでそこそこ揺れ、具合が悪くなって吐いている方がいました。乗り物酔いをする方は、絶対に吐気止めを服用してから乗船したほうが良いと思います。

残念ながらクジラはほとんど見られませんでした。
遠くの方で数回尻尾が見えたかな～というくらい。
それも一瞬なので、写真を撮る余裕はありません。
見れただけマシという程度。
なのでホエールウォッチングに関しては今回は残念な結果でした。

ただ渡嘉敷島はとても良かったです。
渡嘉敷島内を移動する車の中でのお話も興味深かったです。
きれいな砂浜と景色で癒されました。

渡嘉敷島上陸が付いているツアーに申し込んだおかげで、クジラのガッカリ感は半減しました。

Positive points:
- They stayed with my mother, who was struggling.
- The equipment was comfortable and good.
- The explanations were well done.
- I didn't know there would be three dives, but for an additional 5,500 yen, they took us to Tokashiki Island.
- They took us to good dive spots.

Negative points:
- I thought there would be a shop; it was my first time on a direct boat.
- My mother was diving for the first time, and I wasn't sure if she could do it, but we couldn't choose how many dives each person would do.
- Once it was clear she couldn't dive, I wanted her to be allowed to join the snorkeling group.
- My mother's payment for one dive was wasted, and I couldn't use it for my three dives.
- The return boat was too fast, and a basket full of equipment moved, pinching my legs between the bench and the basket, causing an injury.
- I shouted that it hurt, and even though someone must have seen it, no one helped.
- At that time, there was a mark, and later it swelled.

良かった点は
・うまくできない母にずっと付いててくれた。
・装備が楽で良かった。
・説明が上手だった。
・3ダイブあるとは聞いていなかったがオプション　5500円プラスで渡嘉敷島にも行ってくれた。
・良いポイントに連れてってくれた。
悪かった点は
・ショップがあると思っていた。直接ボートは初めて。
・母がダイビング初めてでできるか分からなかったけど1人ずつ何回ダイブするか選べなかった。
・できないってわかったらシュノーケル組に参加させて欲しかった。
・母の1ダイブ分のお金が無駄になったけど、私の3DIVEめ分に利用できなかった。
・帰りのボートが速すぎていっぱい機材が入っているカゴが動いて座ってたベンチと足が挟まれて怪我をした。
・痛いって叫んだし、絶対見てたはずなのに誰も見てみぬふりされた。
・その時は痕が付き、その後腫れた。

I was worried about the weather, but it turned out fine, and I felt relieved when the boat departed. Just to be safe, I took some motion sickness medication, but I didn't feel much rocking at all, so I was completely fine (I usually get motion sickness easily, though...).

At first, I was worried about not being able to see anything, but they changed locations and found a whale spouting. They got us close and even maneuvered the boat so we could see it multiple times, which was great. It was heartwarming to see a mother and calf swimming close together. Although we didn't get to see the tail fluke like you do in photos or on TV, I definitely want to try again.

On the boat, I was allowed to sit at the bow, and even without seeing any whales, just staring at the ocean was refreshing.

I was unsure which tour to choose, but the location was easy to find, parking was convenient, and it was close to town, so I'm glad I went with the tour from Chatan. I missed out on getting a postcard and handbook, though.

　心配していたお天気も大丈夫で船が出発して一安心でした。
　念の為酔い止め薬を飲みましたが揺れとかもそんなに感じず全然大丈夫でした。(基本的には酔いやすいのですが…)

　最初は見れなくてどうなるかと思いましたが、場所を変え探してくれて塩吹きを発見しては近付き、先回りをしては姿が見れるように船を走らせてくれて何度も見れて良かったです。
　親子で寄り添いながら泳いでいる背中も見れてほのぼのしました。
　写真やテレビで見るような尾ひれをあげてとはいかなかったですがまたチャレンジしたいと思います。
　船では舳先に座らせてもらいクジラが居なくてもボーッと海を見ているだけでリフレッシュできて良かったです。

　どの場所から出発のツアーにしようかと迷いましたが、場所もわかりやすく車も停めやすく、町中からも近くて北谷発にして良かったです。
　ポストカードとハンドブックもらいそこねました。

Since I stayed near Mihama American Village, I looked for a whale watching tour departing from the nearby area instead of Naha, and I found this tour. It was within walking distance from American Village to the port, and perhaps by chance, we encountered whales about 30 minutes after leaving the port by boat. We saw at least three whales, including a mother and calf. There weren't any big movements, but we were able to see flukes and pec slaps.

美浜アメリカンビレッジ近くに宿泊したので、那覇ではなく近辺発のホエールウォッチングツアーを探したところ、このツアーを見つけました。アメリカンビレッジから港まで徒歩圏内でしたし、たまたまかもしれませんがボートで港を出てから30分ほどでクジラに出会えました。親子を含め少なくとも3頭のクジラが見られました。あまり大きな動きはありませんでしたが、フルークやペックスラップが見られました。

I participated on a day when the weather had been bad for a while, and the departure had been postponed, but we finally set sail. We did encounter whales, but they were a bit far away. However, since this is nature we're dealing with, it can't be helped. It was quite a rocky day, but I didn't get seasick and had a fun half-day. I'm grateful for the courteous service from the staff.

天候が悪い日が続き、延期も続き、やっと出航できた日に参加しました。
クジラには出会えましたが、少し遠かったかなー。
でもこれだけは自然が相手なので仕方ないです。
かなり揺れた日でしたが、船酔いする事もなく楽しい半日でした。
スタッフの方々の丁寧な対応に感謝しています。

We participated as a family of five after taking motion sickness medication in advance. However, two of us were still affected. That said, we were very happy to see the whales spouting and breaching several times. For those who are prone to motion sickness, even medication might not prevent seasickness. Since you can only see whales during this season, I'm glad we participated in the whale watching. Thank you for providing us with this precious experience.

家族5人で事前に酔い止めを飲んで、参加しました。が、うち2人は撃沈。でも、くじらは潮吹きも、ブリーチングも何回か見られて、とても嬉しかったです。乗り物に酔いやすい人は、薬を飲んでも船酔いするかも知れません。この時期にしか、くじらは見られないので、ホエールウォッチングに参加して良かったと思います。貴重な体験をさせていただき、ありがとうございました。

As the slogan suggests, I think there is a high possibility of seeing whales. However, it felt a bit lonely since you can only see their fins from a distance. I understand that you can't get too close because they are wild animals, and the weather also plays a role in this.

うたい文句通り、クジラは見られる可能性がかなり高いと思います。ただ、遠くから背びれなどを見る感じなので、ちょっと淋しい感じはしました。野生動物相手だから近づき過ぎることはできないし、天候もあるからその辺の事情はわかりますけどね。
