It started at 1:30 PM and took about an hour to complete.
We looked at the examples and created our pieces freely.
Mr. Yoshio Tomoma, a traditional craftsman, kindly taught us the tips for cutting and pasting, which was very helpful.
I got so focused on the work that time flew by.
Above all, it was incredibly fun!
It turned out to be a wonderful and enjoyable memory.

We really enjoyed the hands-on experience of creating a little plaque/coaster. It wasn't quite what I thought 'lacqer-ware' is supposed to be though, as I assumed we'd be painting more than cutting wax figures out. But it was fun nonetheless. The sensei was very helpful and has a sweet character.

I arrived nearly an hour early for my reservation, but they promptly accommodated me, and the painting experience began. They set up tables and chairs in a spacious area in the hotel basement, and we painted a pure white shisa using water-based paint. There were samples available, and they provided thorough instructions, making it enjoyable for my older and elementary school-aged children as well.

Since we layered the colors, we had to wait for each layer to dry, but the beach was just nearby, so we played on the sand while waiting for the paint to dry, then painted again, and repeated the process. The kids had a great time throughout the painting experience.

The staff were very kind and provided excellent service, making it a wonderful experience.

The finished shisa can be taken home the same day. There is also a free parking lot conveniently located across from the hotel.

I highly recommend this, especially for families with young children.

予約時間より1時間近く早く着いたのに、すぐに対応してくれて絵付け体験開始。
ホテルの地下の少し広い場所にテーブルとイスを用意してもらい真っ白なシーサーに水性のペイントで絵付けします。
見本も置いてあり、丁寧に教えてくれたので、年長、小学生の子供たちも楽しくできました。
色を重ねて塗っていくので少し塗ったら乾くまで待たないといけないのですが、すぐ砂浜につながっているので、乾く間に砂浜で遊び、また塗って、乾く間にまた砂浜で遊びを繰り返し、子供達は終始楽しく絵付け体験ができました。
お店の方もとても優しく対応してくださり、良い体験ができました。

出来上がったシーサーも当日持ち帰れるます。駐車場もホテルの向かいに無料の駐車場があり便利でした。

小さいお子さんには特におススメです。

Just before my VELTRA points were about to expire, I looked for an affordable tour and decided to apply for this one.

Since it was quite a distance from Naha City and there was traffic, I informed them that I would be late. Although the response was a bit curt, they adjusted the time for me.

The location was right outside the hotel elevator, and at first, I thought it was an employee entrance. However, there were tables, chairs, and tools for making shisa prepared, so I wondered if we would really do it there. But in a way, it was refreshing, and I was able to enjoy the view of the sea while working, which was great.

The staff member stayed with us the whole time, and we were able to paint the shisa while chatting, which made it fun.

In addition to painting shisa, there are also marine sports activities to enjoy, so I would like to participate again next time.

丁度VELTRAポイントが無くなる前だったのでお手頃なツアーを探したところこちらに応募させていただきました。

那覇市からだとかなり距離があって渋滞等が有ったので遅れる旨伝えたら、少し嫌な感じな口調では有りましたが時間も調整してもらいました。

場所がホテルのエレベーターから降りたところだったので最初は従業員用の出入り口かと思いましたが机と椅子とシーサー作りの道具が用意されていてこんな所でやるのかな？と思いましたが逆にこちらの方が斬新で海も眺めて出来たので良かったです。

お兄さんがずっとつきっきりで対応していただき色々と話しながらシーサーの色ぬりが出来たので楽しかったです。

シーサーの色ぬり以外にもマリンスポーツ系なども楽しめるので次回また参加したいと思いました

Our first trip to Okinawa! My three daughters (ages 14, 10, and 8) really wanted to experience coloring Shisa! So we were taken care of here. The staff who guided us were very friendly, and I was happy that they spoke to us a lot. There were many different sample Shisa, and I was unsure which techniques to borrow (laughs). Using the paint mixtures and the techniques we learned, we created our own original Shisa.

After returning home, we displayed them side by side.

初の沖縄旅行～～！我が家の三姉妹（14・10・８歳）シーサー色付け体験がどうしてもやりたい！！ということでこちらでお世話になりました。
指導していただいたスタッフさんたちは、とても気さくな方たちで、たくさんお声をかけていただけうれしく思いました。
見本のシーサーも何種類もあり、どの技を盗んでいいやら迷っちゃいます(笑)
絵の具の配合や盗んだ技を使ってオリジナルのシーサー出来上がりました。

帰宅後は、並べて飾ってあります。
