Experience of a Trial Diving and Impressions

I stayed at a hotel in Naha City. In the morning, they came to pick me up. Upon arriving at the reception, I stored my valuables in a locker. After receiving my wetsuit, I quickly put it on over my swimsuit, and I was ready to go. It was just a 5-minute walk to the boat dock. I confirmed my wristband and boarded the boat.

On the boat, we spent time barefoot. I placed my belongings in the dry area and received a briefing about diving. We traveled for about 30 minutes by boat, with land becoming quite distant. I was worried about the weather in Okinawa, which had entered the rainy season, but occasionally the sun came out, allowing us to see the beautiful sea.

When we arrived at the diving point, we first got accustomed to the water with snorkeling. Surprisingly, it wasn't cold at all, probably because I was wearing a wetsuit. As I put on my goggles and looked underwater, I could immediately see the beautiful scenery. My first impression of entering the sea after a long time was salty!!

When it was my turn to dive, my name was called, and I put on the equipment. Even as a beginner, I felt reassured because the staff helped me. Up to two people can dive with one instructor, so couples can experience it together. We gradually descended into the water. Since it was a trial, the instructor was always with us, which made me feel safe. My instructor was Kodai. The depth was such that if I felt uncomfortable, I could easily surface, so I calmly followed along. I was really nervous, but he helped ease my tension. We descended slowly while equalizing our ears, and the coral on the ocean floor came closer. I was desperately trying not to miss the colorful fish and beautiful corals. They also took photos with an underwater camera, which was exciting when we could capture moments with the fish. When holding onto the rocks or corals on the ocean floor, they lent us gloves to avoid injuring our hands. (They also take photos during other activities. After enjoying a 20-minute underwater walk, we returned to the boat. I returned the heavy equipment and found that there was free water and sanpin tea available on board, so I hydrated. We could drink using paper cups, and since they provided new cups each time, it felt clean.

Just when I felt relieved, I started to feel a bit seasick. Most people were enjoying the activities energetically, but some were feeling seasick, including me. I regretted not taking motion sickness medication. I couldn't find a clock on the boat, so I wondered how much longer we would be here...

If everyone finished their booked activities and there was time and staff available, they would accommodate additional requests on-site. If I had the energy, I would have liked to try parasailing... The additional fees are settled later, so no cash is needed. The staff efficiently handled customer check-ins and requests, and everyone was cheerful and smiling.

After all the activities were completed, the boat finally returned to the port. After playing in the sea, I returned the wetsuit and quickly rinsed off the seawater in the onboard shower before changing in a mini changing room. At this time, each person was lent a bath towel.

I was glad I wore a dress for easy changing. It was a bit challenging to change quickly on a rocking boat. I wondered if everyone could change in time, but before I knew it, everyone had finished changing. I received a QR code to check the photos later.

那覇市内のホテルに滞在。朝、迎えにきてくれました。
受付に到着したら貴重品をロッカーに預けます。
ウェットスーツを受け取り早速水着の上に着たら準備完了。歩いて船に移動します。5分も歩けば船着場。リストバンドを確認して乗船。

船上は裸足で過ごします。荷物をドライエリアに置いて、ダイビングの説明を受けます。
30分くらい船で移動。陸がだいぶ遠くに。
梅雨に入った沖縄の天気を心配してましたが、海の上は時々太陽が出て綺麗な海を見る事ができました。
ダイビングポイントに着いたらまずはシュノーケルで水慣らし。ウェットスーツを着ているせいか？全く冷たくない。ゴーグルをつけて海の中を見ると綺麗な景色がすぐ見れます。
久しぶりの海に入った感想はしょっぱい‼︎
ダイビングの順番が来ると名前を呼ばれて、器材を装着。初めてでもスタッフが手伝ってくれるので安心です。インストラクター1人に対して2人まで潜る事ができます。カップルも一緒に体験可能です。
少しずつ水中へ。体験なのでインストラクターが必ず一緒にいるので安心です。私の担当はコーダイさんでした。苦しかったらすぐに海面へ出られる深さなので落ち着いてついていきます。すごく緊張してましたが、緊張をほぐしてくれました。耳抜きをしながら少しずつ深いところへ。海底の珊瑚たちが目の前まで迫ってきます。カラフルな魚やキレイな珊瑚を見逃すまいと必死に海底の様子を見てました。また水中カメラで写真撮影をしてくれます。魚たちと撮れると嬉しいですね。海底の岩？珊瑚？につかまる時は手を怪我しない様軍手を貸してくれます。（他のアクティビティでもそれぞれ写真を撮ってくれます。パラセーリングは自撮り棒で自分達を撮ります。）

20分の海中散歩を楽しんだら船に戻ります。
船に戻って重たく感じる器材を返します。
船内にはお水とさんぴん茶が無料で用意されているので、水分補給をしました。紙コップを使って飲めます。毎回新しいコップなので清潔です。

ホッとしたのも束の間。なんだか船酔いしてきました。ほとんどの人は元気にアクティビティを楽しんでいますが、船酔いされている方も。そして私も。酔い止め飲んで来なかった事を後悔。
船内に時計が見当たらなかったので、あとどのくらいここにいられるのか…

各々が申し込んだアクティビティが終了して時間とスタッフに余裕があると、現地で追加の対応をしてくれます。私に体力があったらパラセーリングしたかった…
追加の料金は後精算なので現金は必要ありません。テキパキとお客さんの受付と対応をするスタッフ。みんな楽しくて笑顔が溢れます。

全てのアクティビティが終了していよいよ船は港へ戻ります。
たくさん海で遊んだ後はウェットスーツを返して、サッとですが船内のシャワーで海水を流しミニ更衣室で着替えます。この時、1人1枚バスタオルを貸してもらえます。

すぐ着替えられる様ワンピースでしたが正解でした。揺れる船内でサッと着替えるのはちょっと大変。この人数が全て着替えるのはできるのか？と思ったけど、いつのまにかみんな着替え終わっていました。後日写真を見る事のできるQRコードの案内をもらいました。
港に着くとスタッフにお別れをして、貴重品を預けた受付へ戻ります。

私は事前にベルトラで支払っていたので、受付で確認したらすぐ送迎バスへ。13時過ぎに出発地のホテルへ送ってもらい、私の体験ダイビングは終了しました。

その後、昼食を取ろうと思ったら船酔いの名残りで食欲はありませんでした。ポークたまごのおにぎりを3口でギブアップ。一生懸命遊んだ私。

次の日の朝、朝食バイキングでの出来事。
にんじんしりしりを食べると、こめかみが痛いのです。ん、なんだこりゃ⁇
そう、昨日のダイビングの時必死にマウスピースを噛み締めていたのでその筋肉痛だと思いました。あはは、そんなところにダイビングの名残りがあるとは…

と、いうわけでとても心に残る体験ダイビングになりました。
翌日くらいには、QRコードから写真をチェック。楽しかったシーンが蘇ります。
思い出って自分から作っていくものなのだと改めて実感します。どんな体験も私だけの宝物です。思い出すとクスクスっとしてしまう体験ができて本当に良かったなと思いました。
沖縄らしい明るいベテランスタッフさんとイケメンスタッフさん達ありがとうございました。

The day we had planned for the sunset kayak was forecasted to rain... We visited Okinawa for our honeymoon. Since we wanted to do something we couldn't do back home, we chose this snorkeling + parasailing + marine sports package, which was a great deal with many perks included. Although there were dark clouds, it didn't rain, so the sea was clear, and we were able to see plenty of fish.

The experience was packed with activities, and we had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves on the water, which was very satisfying.

However, there was a downside regarding the snorkeling. The other participants had started snorkeling first, so the staff was there to guide them from the moment they entered the water, and there were many photos taken. Due to the timing of our plan, we began snorkeling about an hour and a half after the boat had stopped, and we were just handed fins with instructions to go and enjoy on our own.

While we received a brief explanation on the boat, it was quite challenging for beginners, and it was concerning that there were no staff members around. As expected, we ended up with no snorkeling photos, which makes me question whether participating in the plan was worthwhile. I hope improvements can be made so that everyone can enjoy the experience safely and equally.

せっかくなら地元では出来ないことをしたいと思い、お値段がお得で特典もたくさん付いていた、こちらのシュノーケリング+パラセーリング+マリンスポーツを選びました。
黒い雲は出ていましたが、雨は降っていなかったので、海の濁りもなく、魚はしっかりと見ることが出来ました。
盛り沢山の内容でしたが、海の上での滞在時間はたくさん確保されていて満足行くまで遊べました。
マイナスポイントはシュノーケリングについてです。
他の参加者はシュノーケリングを最初にやっていたので、着水のところからスタッフの方が付いて教えていたのか、写真もたくさんありました。
私たちはプランの都合上、シュノーケリングを始めたのが海上で船を停めてから恐らく1時間半程経っていた頃になり、何も教えられずにフィンだけ渡されて、自由に行ってきてくださいという感じでした。
船の上で簡単に教えて貰ってはいますが、初心者にはかなりハードですし、周りにスタッフがいないのも不安です。
案の定、シュノーケリングの写真も全くなく、プランに参加した意味があったのか、この点に関しては疑問に思うところもあります。
全員が安心して平等に楽しめるよう、改善を願います。

The weather had been forecasted for rain for a week, but miraculously, it was sunny only on this day. When I asked my child what was the most fun thing in Okinawa, they said it was swimming in the sea and being able to see the fish. The ocean and the sandy beach were incredibly beautiful. One slight disappointment was that the curry for lunch was too spicy for my child to eat, and we didn't have enough time to go on a snorkeling tour.

After the ferry arrived, there were many buses for transportation, and it was a bit challenging to find the bus I had reserved. There were bus company representatives who were pushing very expensive buses, so caution is needed.

Lunch included curry, and I was very satisfied. In no time, we returned to Okinawa Main Island after three hours!

Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy and my mood was a bit down, but the water was truly beautiful with Kerama Blue, and I was really impressed! The guides were all very kind, and I was able to enjoy myself even in the cloudy weather! However, I only have one photo, and there are none of me swimming, which was very disappointing given my expectations. I was sad that I didn't have any pictures of the beautiful underwater scenery, especially since some people had multiple photos from snorkeling. It felt a bit unfair.

I chose snorkeling in the Kerama Islands. It was quite crowded since it was Golden Week (about 20 people on the same boat). However, there was one instructor for every seven people, so safety didn't seem to be an issue. We moved between three points, but at the end, we went to a depth of about 10 meters. Even if you're a complete non-swimmer, they provide floatation devices, but it's definitely more reassuring if you can swim a little.

The boat was medium-sized and had enough space for 20 people plus 5 staff members. However, that day the waves were about 1.5 meters high, and even though I usually don't get seasick, I felt a bit nauseous. Taking motion sickness medication might be essential.

You don't need to bring any money on the boat! You can leave your belongings in the lockers at the shop where we gathered. On the boat, there’s unlimited access to hot tea, coffee, and water, and they also provide lunch, so you won't need any money!

I joined because I wanted to go to Daishi Forest Mountain. I was hesitant about traveling to Okinawa since I can't drive, but thanks to this tour, I was able to enjoy both the mountains and the sea in one day! I had plenty of time for snorkeling and was able to fully enjoy the beautiful sea of Kerama. At first, I was scared when I got into the water, but thanks to the staff who let me hold onto a kickboard-like device and took care of me until I got used to the water, I was able to enjoy it on my own afterward! I considered scuba diving for my children to give them various experiences, but I had to give up on the application because there needs to be an 18-hour gap between the end of diving and boarding the plane (the recommended time by doctors is 24 hours). Instead, I signed up for a snorkeling plan. If you're planning to dive, be sure to check this out.

It was my first time snorkeling, and I was a bit anxious at first, but there was a detailed explanation before we started, which made me feel a little more at ease. Initially, I entered the sea wearing only a wetsuit without a life jacket, but I recommend wearing a life jacket for those who might feel scared like I did. Gradually, I was captivated by the colorful fish and beautiful sea, and my fear disappeared. After that, I was able to enjoy snorkeling freely without a life jacket.

The guide took us to the coral reef point, and I was able to see the truly wonderful waters of Okinawa. I was really moved. Furthermore, the guide showed us bubble rings, which was a fascinating phenomenon. I was very satisfied.

Also, I recommend that those participating in this tour take motion sickness medication. All four of my family members took it, but one person struggled a bit with seasickness. It was surprising to see some young participants also unable to enjoy themselves due to seasickness, missing out on such a wonderful Okinawan sea—what a waste!

I truly had a valuable experience this time, and I am very grateful. Thank you to all the guides for your support. I really appreciated your consideration regarding the pick-up location. Next time, I will definitely participate in a diving tour. I look forward to it!

子供たちに色んな体験をしてほしくてスキューバダイビングを検討したのですがダイビング終了後から飛行機搭乗まで18時間(お医者推奨は２４時間)を開ける必要があり、申し込みを断念しました。代わりにシュノーケリングプランに申し込みました。ダイビングされる方は要チェックです。

初めてのシュノーケリングで最初は不安がありましたが
始まる前に詳しい説明があり、すこし安心しました。
最初はライフジャケット無しでウェットスーツのみで海に入りましたが
私のように怖く感じる方はライフジャケットの着用をお勧めします。
徐々に色鮮やかな魚と綺麗な海に心を奪われ怖さもなくなり、その後はライフジャケット無しで自由にシュノーケリングを楽しむことが出来ました。
ガイドさんがサンゴ礁のポイントまで連れていって頂き、本当に素敵な沖縄海を見ることが出来ました。本当に感動しました。
さらにガイドさんが私たちにバブルリングを見せて頂きました。不思議な現象をみることができました。大満足でした。
それから
このツアーに参加される方は酔い止め薬を飲むことをお勧めします。家族４人全員服用し参加したのですが一人が船酔いで少し苦労しました。他の参加者の中で意外と若い子たちも船酔いで遊べずこんな素晴らしい沖縄海を見れず帰るなんて勿体ない！

この度は本当に貴重な経験が出来、本当にありがとうございました。
ガイドの皆様本当にお世話になりました。

I requested SUP and snorkeling with drone filming. Due to the weather, we couldn't go to the Blue Cave, but we were able to experience it in a safe and enjoyable location. It was our first time doing SUP as a couple, and thanks to the careful instruction, we both managed to have fun without falling into the water even once! We departed on a clean and tidy cruiser with a sense of hygiene. The staff were friendly and kind. Everyone seemed to be working efficiently and diligently. The balance of distance and approachability made for a wonderful atmosphere. Snorkeling was almost completely free, without many restrictions. Several staff members entered the water to keep an eye on us while taking photos, which was reassuring and eliminated the need for a camera. The sea was beautiful and full of fish. I even got to see a sea turtle, which I had been hoping for.

To the staff, thank you for your efforts in searching for and capturing those moments. Everyone in the tour group became friends, and we had a great time together. The lunch was delicious, and I appreciated the warm beverage service. I would love to participate again.

I participated during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was a trial diving experience with other customers on the same boat. However, the spacious interior of the boat allowed me to change and enjoy the scenery without worrying about others, and I could relax freely. The view from the upper deck was also amazing!

Above all, the best part was the wonderful sea and the friendly instructor, which was great!

This time, I participated in my first kayak tour with my 85-year-old mother, my sister, and my niece! The weather was nice, and I was hopeful for a beautiful sunset. However, I realized that paddling for a long time would be difficult for my mother. When I consulted the staff, the instructor, Mr. Niikawa, kindly took my mother along with him. At first, my mother was scared, but she ended up enjoying the kayak, which was more stable than she had imagined.

We explored the riverside while looking at the mangroves, and it was interesting to hear the calls of wild birds and see many crab holes in the sandy ground. As the sun began to set, the sea turned slightly red, and we paddled towards it... When we passed by other boats, we were rocked by the waves, which was thrilling... I was deeply moved by the magical experience of the sound of the waves and the sparkling sun setting.

I believe this kayak tour proved that even elderly grandmothers can participate without any issues. I definitely want to join again next time.

今回！８５歳になる母親と姉、姪っ子の４人で初カヤックツアーに参加しました！
天気も良く夕日率も高かったので期待していましたが、
長時間船を漕ぐ事は母親には難しい事に気づき、スタッフの方に相談したら快くインストラクターの新川さんが母を乗せて動向してくれました！
母は初めは怖がっていましたが、想像以上に安定したカヤックで楽しんでいました。
マングローブを見ながら川辺を散策し、野鳥の鳴き声や砂地には蟹の穴が沢山あるのが面白かったです。
日が沈む時間になり海の方は少し赤らんでそこに向かって漕ぎ漕ぎ、、、
ボートとすれ違う時は、波に揺らされドキドキ、、、
波の音とキラキラ太陽が沈むとても幻想的な空間を体験出来てとても感動しました。

高齢おばあでも問題無く乗れるカヤックツアーが安心して乗れると証明できたと思いますよ。
次回も必ず参加したいと思いました。

The day before was cold and the weather was bad, making me anxious about the snorkeling tour, but on the day itself, we finally had sunshine! However, since the temperature was around 20°C, I was still worried it would be cold.

I was provided with a 5mm wetsuit, and my children had 2mm suits? They were layered, so it wasn't too cold.

There were three snorkeling spots, and the visibility was incredible, which was truly impressive! At the turtle point, I was able to swim with two types of sea turtles, and I was very satisfied!

The two elementary school children had a guide who stayed with them the whole time, which made me feel very reassured. It seems they heard a lot of stories about the ocean from the guide, and the kids happily shared what they learned.

Thanks to the good weather, we were able to have the best time. I would like to use this service again when I come back to Okinawa. Thank you!

前日まで寒い、天気悪い、シュノーケリングツアーが不安なほどでしたが、当日は久しぶりの晴れ！しかし気温は20℃ほどでしたのでやはり寒そうで不安でした。
5ミリのウェットと子供は2ミリ？2枚重ねで用意していただいたのでそれほど寒くはなかったです。
ポイントは3箇所でしたがものすごい透明度で感動しました！ウミガメポイントでは2種類のウミガメと一緒に泳ぐことができ大満足です！
小学生の子供2人はガイドさんがつきっきりでガイドしてくださりとても安心でした。ガイドさんに沢山海の話を聞いたみたいで子供達は嬉しそうに教えてくれました。
天気が良かったのもあり、最高の時間を過ごすことができました。また沖縄に来たら利用したいと思います。ありがとうございました！

At Tokashiku Beach, the instructor, Kan, pulled a round float for us, so my daughter, who is afraid of the water, and I, her mother with little stamina, just had to hold on to the float, making it easy to go snorkeling. Kan quickly found a sea turtle, which was incredibly exciting!

We also went snorkeling just the two of us at Awa Island Beach, but there were many more fish at this beach.

After making a reservation, I received a confirmation email about two days later. The email included a link to check the sea conditions and the boat's departure status around 3 PM the day before. I was able to check it daily.

The day before our snorkeling trip to Kerama, the weather was terrible, and the event was held for a short time at a beach in Nago City instead of Kerama. Cancellations are free until 7 PM the day before.

On the day we went, it was pouring rain in the morning, but by the time we traveled for an hour by boat to Kerama, the weather had changed to cloudy.

There were a few people who got seasick badly. I usually don't take motion sickness medication, but I took some just in case and had some candy, and I was fine. Motion sickness medication is essential.

The guide found a turtle at the third snorkeling point, and we were able to see it up close.

Next time, I would like to enjoy snorkeling with Marine Berry on a sunny day.

　私達が慶良間シュノーケリングに行く前日は、大荒れの天気で、慶良間ではなく名護市のビーチで短時間開催となっていました。キャンセルは、前日の19時まで無料です。
　私達が行った日は朝は大雨でしたが、船で1時間慶良間へと移動している間に、曇天に変わっていました。
　船酔いが酷くて、ダウンしたら人が数名いました。私はいつもは酔い止めを飲まないのですが、念の為飲み、飴を舐め、大丈夫でした。酔い止め必須です。
　ガイドさんが3ポイント目に亀を見つけてくださり、間近で見ることができました。
　次は晴天の日に、同じマリンベリーさんでシュノーケリングを楽しみたいと思います。
