I was very seasick. 船酔いが酷かった

I was looking forward to the boat ride, but the waves were high, and my entire family got seasick.
The staff were very polite and took care of us kindly, but it was very disappointing that we didn't see a single whale.
I think it also depends on one's physical condition and constitution, but even if you usually don't get motion sickness, a boat can be different, and there's a possibility that you might get seasick and miss the chance to see whales. I think it's best for participants to keep this in mind.
楽しみに船に乗りましたが、波が高く、家族全員で船酔いしました。
スタッフの方の対応はとても丁寧で、優しく介抱していただきましたが、鯨が一目も見られず、とても残念でした。
体調や体質もあると思いますが、普段乗り物酔いをしなくても船は別もので、船酔いしてしまい、鯨を見るどころじゃなくなる可能性があることを念頭に参加された方がいいと思います。
酔い止めを飲むなどの準備はした方が良いです。

The Sefa Utaki and the Gangala Valley were mystical and very nice. It was a sunny day, so I had no trouble wearing sneakers. The temperature was mild enough that a sweater was sufficient, and I thought a raincoat would be handy if it rained. It seemed like the roads were crowded, so taking a bus tour was convenient without any waiting time. On the way back, I got off at Naha Airport, which made it very convenient to head home.
斎場御嶽、ガンガラーの谷は神秘的でとても良かったです。晴れの日だったので、スニーカーで楽々でした。気温はコートは要らず、セーターだけで充分。雨ならレインコートが有れば便利かと思いました。車は混み合うようで、バスツアーですと、待ち時間もなく楽でした。帰りは那覇空港で降りたので、そのまま帰れてとても便利でした。

I definitely wanted to visit Sefa Utaki, and since we could choose from three locations, I picked Miibaru Beach to see the ocean in Okinawa.
There weren't many details about the schedule at Miibaru Beach, so I was wondering how we would spend the two hours.
First, we all boarded a bus to go to Sefa Utaki, and then the participants for Okinawa World, the Valley of Gangala, and Miibaru Beach were dropped off at their respective locations. There was a system in place where they would come back to pick us up at the designated time.
The guide provided detailed explanations about sightseeing methods, recommended walking routes, and delicious food, which was very helpful.
Only the two of us chose Miibaru Beach, and we were dropped off in front of the beach, informed of the pickup time, and then we had free time.
First, we were scheduled to ride a glass-bottom boat. After checking in, the boat would depart once it was full. We shared the boat with other tourists who were not part of the bus tour.
The boat took about 20 minutes to circle around areas where we could see coral and fish in the sea. We were lucky during our trip and were able to see a sea turtle.
When we returned to shore, it was just around lunchtime, so we walked to a restaurant using the pamphlet we received at the boat dock as a reference.
The restaurant was popular, and there was quite a wait, but since we had over an hour until the meeting time, we were able to enjoy the view of the ocean while waiting. When our name was called, we entered the restaurant and ordered bread and drinks; it was a very stylish and lovely place.
After that, we returned to Miibaru Beach to collect shells, take photos, and play in the sea, enjoying our time leisurely.
When the time came, we waited for the bus at the drop-off point, boarded the bus again, and returned to Naha Airport or the Prefectural Office Square with everyone. The timing was perfect, and we were able to proceed to our next plans without any issues.

とっても
ためになりました。
みーばるビーチを選んだのは
私達二人だけでしたが
ビーチ前で降ろされ、迎えの時間を告げられ、後は自由です。
まず、グラスボートに乗る事になっていて
受付をして
船の人数が一杯になると
出発です。バスツワー以外の方の観光客と
乗り合わせです。
船は２０分位、海の珊瑚や魚が見られる所をグルリと回って来ます。
私達の時は運が良く
ウミガメを見ることができました。
岸に戻り
丁度お昼近かったので
船乗り場で頂いたパンフレットを
参考にお店まで歩いて行きました。
お店は人気があり
結構順番待ちでしたが、集合時間まで1時間以上あったので、海を見ながら
待つことができました。
名前が呼ばれ
お店の中に入り、パンとドリンクを頼みましたが
とっても洒落た素敵なお店でした。
又みーばるビーチに戻り
貝を拾たり、写真を撮ったり
海と戯れたりと
ユックリ楽しみました。
時間が来たので降りた場所で
バスを待ち
再び
バスに乗り込み
那覇空港又は、県庁前広場まで
全員で
戻り
時間もキッチリで、次の予定にも
支障なく進めました。

Due to the weather conditions, there was a cancellation the day before, and since the waves were a bit high, we were advised to take motion sickness medication. After two changes, I was half anxious and half excited about the departure. It was great to learn various things about whales from the staff's explanations. I felt reassured knowing that they would respond quickly if anyone felt unwell. I would like to participate again.

It was a half-day tour, but I was able to visit the desired Gyokusendo Cave. It was mystical and amazing. I had a wonderful experience. Additionally, the explanations from the tour guide were very good.

The half-day tour of Sefa Utaki and Gangala Valley involves quite a bit of walking. The bus seats felt narrower compared to the previous day's tour, which had much more spacious and comfortable seating. Perhaps due to the half-day nature of the tour, it felt a bit rushed, and there was too little time in Gangala Valley, so I couldn't enjoy a leisurely coffee before starting the exploration, which was disappointing.
However, it’s a recommended tour as you can feel the nature and receive healing and power from it. After the tour, I planned to go to American Village, and when I consulted with the driver and guide, they were very kind and offered great advice. Thanks to them, I was able to safely reach American Village via the limousine bus from the airport. Although it wasn't our last day, they also provide transportation to the airport, so I recommend it for the final day as well.
斎場御獄とガンガラー谷の半日ツアーですが結構歩きます。バスのシート幅も前日の別のツアーのシートがかなりゆったりと広く快適だった事もあって狭めに感じました。半日ツアーのせいか忙しなくてガンガラーの谷での時間が少な過ぎてガンガラーの谷の探索出発前にゆっくりコーヒーも飲めなかったのが残念。
自然を感じられて癒しとパワーもいただけるのでオススメのツアーです。
ツアー終わった後にアメリカンビレッジに行く予定だったので運転手さんとガイドさんに相談したらとっても親切にアドバイスくれて有難うございました。空港からのリムジンバスで無事アメリカンビレッジに行く事が出来ました。私達は最終日ではなかったのですが、空港にも送って下さるので最終日にもオススメ。

It was a choose-your-style tour, so I thought each group would take a different bus, but they actually accommodated everyone on one bus and dropped us off at our respective destinations. I participated in a course that included Meebal Beach. We had about two hours at the beach, but since the glass boat ride was only around 30 minutes, we had quite a bit of extra time, so we took a break at a nearby café.

On the last day of my trip to Okinawa, I participated in a tour of the southern tourist spots, which are difficult to access without a rental car. It was convenient to choose Naha Airport as the drop-off point on the way back.
Both the Sefa Utaki and the Valley of Gangala offered a natural experience that you can't have in Naha city, and they are definitely worth visiting!
One thing to note is that both places require a long walking distance, and depending on the season, you need to prepare for heat and insects.
Additionally, I personally felt that the tour fee for the Valley of Gangala is free for elementary school students accompanied by a guardian, so I wish the price for elementary school students on this bus tour was a bit cheaper.
レンタカー無しの沖縄旅行最終日に参加したので、車でないと行きにくい南部観光地巡り、また帰りの降車地を那覇空港が選べるので楽ちんでした。

注意点は両方とも歩く距離が長く、時期により暑さ、虫対策が必要なことです。
あと個人的に感じたのが、ガンガラーの谷のツアー料金は保護者同伴の小学生は無料なので、このバスツアーの小学生料金がもう少し安かったら良いのにな、と思いました。

On the last day of my business trip, I adjusted my flight schedule to participate. I gathered at Kenmin Plaza and got off at Naha Airport. Everything went according to plan.
A seating chart for each group was posted on the shared bus, and I boarded. The seating arrangement was very spacious, and although I was traveling alone, the seat next to me was empty.
Since it was my first time participating, I wasn't sure about the time allocation and ended up rushing through the visit to Sefa Utaki, so I’ll note that for reference. There was no guide (available for an additional fee if arranged locally), and since the visit didn't take long, you can take your time to shop at the product hall or enjoy taking photos at the photo spot behind the product hall.
On the way to the next destination, Gyokusendo Cave, there is Miibaru Beach, where those who chose to leave the group can do so. The final destinations, Gyokusendo Cave and Okinawa World, are located across from each other with a parking lot in between, so even if the group splits up, as long as you return by the meeting time, you can take the same bus back.
At Gyokusendo Cave, after listening to the orientation in the café space, you receive a bottle of sanpin tea and head out with the guide for the tour. I felt like it was a jungle cruise on land. There is time during the tour for the guide to take photos with their smartphone, so even if you're traveling alone, you can bring home some great pictures (it's not a system where photos are sold at the exit).
After the tour, we disbanded near the parking lot, but there were no shops or cafes, just a vending machine and a few benches. Even though it was early afternoon and I was hungry, I could only buy drinks there, so I regretted not buying freshly fried andagi at the product hall at Sefa Utaki.
Lastly, the tour guide only checked the number of participants and didn't share any folk songs or stories about Okinawa. If you don't have overly high expectations, I think it's a convenient tour for a quick sightseeing experience.

県民広場集合、那覇空港下車。予定通りの行程でした。
乗り合いバスにグループ毎の座席表が張り出されて乗車します。とてもゆったりした配置で1人参加でしたが隣は空席でした。
初めての参加だったので時間配分が分からず斎場御獄を駆け足で見学してしまったので参考まで記載します。
ガイドなし（別途料金で現地手配可）、時間がかからず見学できるのでゆっくり回っても物産館で買い物したり、物産館裏のフォトスポットで写真撮影したりとゆっくり過ごせます。
次に向かうガンガラーの谷に行く途中にみーばるビーチがあるので選択した方がここで離団します。
最終目的地のガンガラーの谷とおきなわワールドは駐車場をはさんで所在しているので、同じグループで行き先が別れても集合時刻に戻れば同じバスで帰路につくことになります。
ガンガラーの谷はカフェスペースの舞台でオリエンテーションを聞いた後、さんぴん茶のボトルを受け取ってガイドとツアーに出かけます。陸路のジャングルクルーズのような印象を持ちました。
途中、ガイドさんが手持ちのスマホ等で写真撮影をしてくださる時間があるので1人参加でも見映えする写真を持ち帰ることができます（出口で販売、のシステムではありません）。
ツアー終了後、駐車場の傍で解散になりますが、売店やカフェは無く、販売機とベンチ程度のスペースがあるだけです。
お昼過ぎでお腹が空いていてもここではドリンクしか買えないので斎場御獄の物産館で揚げたてアンダギーを買わなかったことを悔やみました。
最後に、添乗員さんは人数確認程度しか行わず、民謡とか、沖縄のお話の類は一切ありませんでした。
過度に期待しなければサクッと観光するのに便利なツアーだと思います。

I participated in the course that includes the World Heritage Site "Sefa Utaki" and the "Ganggala Valley." This course is perfect for those who find it difficult to visit on their own, as using public buses can be quite challenging. I recommend going on a weekday. The reason is that on the way to Sefa Utaki, you pass by the Costco that opened in August 2024, and it seems that traffic is terrible on weekends. You definitely want to avoid the frustration of traffic when heading to a sacred place. So, weekdays are the best choice.

I felt that the time spent at Sefa Utaki might be short, but the various points within the sacred site are more compact than I imagined, making it just right. Since it is a sacred place, especially for those visiting in groups, it’s best to refrain from being too loud and to keep conversations to a minimum. The view from the observation deck called "Bridge of Happiness," located behind the building where you purchase tickets, is also spectacular, so be sure to stop by.

Since I visited Ganggala Valley without any prior knowledge, it turned out to be an experience that surpassed Sefa Utaki. With explanations from a specialized guide, there are stops at key points, so even those who might find it difficult to walk continuously can participate with ease. After receiving a brief lecture in the cave at the entrance of the valley and getting a water bottle, we finally set off. It was a precious time to reflect on the distant past, surrounded by stalactites, rivers, and almost untouched trees, in a place where the Port of Nakijin people once lived. The guide was also quite handsome, making it a fun and meaningful tour.

なぜなら、斎場御獄へ向かう途中、2024年8月にオープンしたコストコの傍を通るため、週末は渋滞が酷いようです。
聖なる場所へ向かう途中、渋滞のイライラは避けたいですよね。
ということで、平日がおススメです。
＜斎場御獄＞
斎場御獄での見学時間は、短いかもしれないと感じましたが、御嶽内の各ポイントは想像よりコンパクトにまとまっているので、丁度よかったです。
くれぐれも、聖なる場所なので（グループで行かれる方々は特に）はしゃぎ過ぎないよう、おしゃべりも控えめにした方が良いでしょう。
入場券を購入する建物の裏にある「幸せの架け橋」と呼ばれる展望台からの眺めも絶景なので、ぜひ立ち寄ってください。
＜ガンガラーの谷＞
ガンガラーの谷は、予備知識なく訪れたこともあり、斎場御獄を凌駕する体験になりました。
専門のガイドさんの説明を受けながら、要所要所では立ち止まるので、ずーっと歩きっぱなしは無理。という方でも、安心して参加できると思います。
谷の入り口の洞窟で、簡単なレクチャーを受け、お茶の水筒を受け取ったらいよいよ出発です。
鍾乳石や川、ほぼ手付かずの木々、港川人が暮らしていた場所…遥か彼方の古代へ思いを馳せる、貴重な時間になりました。
ガイドさんのイケメン指数も高く、楽しく意義あるツアーでした。
