I initially planned to just see the illumination on Midosuji, but since I was taking the Hanshin Expressway on the way back, I was surprised to find out that we would be going halfway around the loop. The speed was fast, and I was able to see views that are usually blocked by walls, which really boosted my excitement.
I noticed that when I made the reservation, it mentioned that seats couldn't be specified, so I thought it would be unreserved seating and arrived early, but it turned out to be reserved seating. I also found out that I wouldn't know which platform to go to unless I asked someone on-site, so I wish there was a poster or something indicating the platform.
Once on board, I was told I could move to any open seat until departure, so I moved to the front row. However, since the front row has a ceiling, I think the seats in the back offer a better sense of openness. Next time, I would like to sit in the back.
After getting off, while I was taking pictures of the bus, the guide asked me if I was traveling, but I’m actually a local. I had a great time! Thank you!
御堂筋のイルミネーションを見るだけのつもりでしたが、帰りは阪神高速に乗るということで、そんなに短い距離を乗るのかと思ったら、環状線を半周してくれたので、速度の早いしいつもなら壁で見えない景色が見れましましたし、テンション上がりました。
気がついた事は、予約時に席が指定できない、とありましたので自由席かと思い、早めに行きましたが、指定席でした。乗り場も何番乗り場なのか、現地に行って聞かないとわからないのでポスターか何か乗り場に貼っておいていただけたらと思いました。
乗る込むと、出発までな開いてる席に移動しても良い、ということで最前列に移動しました。
最前列は天井がありますので、後方の席の方が解放感が味わえると思います。
次回は後方席に座りたいと思いました。
降りてからバスの写真を撮ったりしてましたら、ガイドさんにご旅行ですか？と聞かれましたが、ガッツリ地元人です。

While living in Osaka, it was my first time to see the illuminations at such a leisurely pace. The bus was open, and I thought it might be cold, but they provided blankets and hand warmers, making it comfortable. With the guide's explanations, I truly had a dream-like time, and I am grateful for that. I was glad to enjoy a different view from the ground. I was excited to be on an open-deck bus with a height of about 3.8 meters. The guide provided clear explanations of the highlights, and I was able to take photos smoothly. The weather was nice, and the blankets and hand warmers provided on the bus were perfect for keeping warm. We even got on the highway at the end, catching a glimpse of the Midosuji Illumination from above, which kept me excited the whole time. It was a quick 45 minutes that flew by.

I was so moved when I rode it for the first time on Christmas 2018 that I invited my friends to join me on Christmas Day 2019. The weather was great, and I was perfectly prepared for the cold, but with hand warmers and blankets, I wasn't cold at all. Although it took quite a while due to traffic on the highway, I was able to slowly enjoy the most beautiful illuminated scenes that usually pass by in an instant. I was able to take great photos as well. Since it gets incredibly crowded when you actually go to Midosuji, I think viewing it from the bus is the best option. My friends loved it too, and I was glad I invited them. The couple sitting in front of me was incredibly moved.

The illumination at Nakanoshima had ended, so I felt a bit unsatisfied. The bus made it hard to see due to the window frames. It seemed beautiful from the front, but I was seated in the middle (>_<). I lined up early for the seats, but they were predetermined. If I had taken the Hanshin Expressway to Harukas via the loop line, it might have been a bit more impressive.

A few days ago, I was worried about the rain forecast, but I was relieved that it didn't rain on the day. I took my three grandchildren with me. Even though there were empty seats, I wished we could have been seated in a more viewable area, even if it meant splitting into pairs. I was looking forward to the illumination on Midosuji Line, but I was disappointed that the city of Osaka was too bright. After the illumination, we rode the Ferris wheel at Hep Five, and the grandchildren were thrilled, feeling like they were on a field trip.
