I usually drive a minivan, so I don't get to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace, but being on the open deck at a high position felt great. The signs were close by, and the highway was enjoyable as well. It was fun to see the night view from angles I usually can't, both from the side and above. The guide's explanations were easy to understand. Since it's this time of year, I was prepared for the cold and dressed warmly, so it didn't bother me at all. I had originally made a reservation for the 8 PM slot, but I was able to change it to the 7 PM slot because there was availability. The city of Osaka was crowded due to the three-day weekend before Christmas, but it was really nice to enjoy the night view slowly from the bus! It was wonderful to see the night view not only from Midosuji but also from the highway.

I arrived at the bus station an hour earlier than my reserved bus, but the guide kindly let me board because there were empty seats available. From the moment we departed, the guide provided detailed information about the history of the buildings and pointed out the highlights of the illuminations, saying things like, "Turn right here!" and "Turn left here!" I rode with two friends! Since it was a weekday, there were no other customers, and we had the bus to ourselves! It was my first time on an open-deck bus, and the ride was comfortable and pleasant! Plus, it had heating! (What a surprise!) They also provided blankets! The cold weather measures were perfect! Of course, there was an explanation from the bus attendant as well.

The bus is really tall, with a height of 4 meters (the tallest in Japan), and apparently, this type is only available from Kintetsu in Japan. The view of Midosuji's main street looks different from what you see while walking, giving you a unique feeling. It's quite magical in its own way! The illumination on Midosuji isn't just one color; it changes according to various images and themes.

In the second half, we went to see Nakano Island, and surprisingly, you can view it from even higher up! I won't spoil it, so I hope you enjoy it after you ride! I'm from Kansai, and my friend came from Kanto, and it was both of our first times on this type of bus, but I think it's definitely worth it for locals as well as visitors from afar!
