I visited Nanki Shirahama for the first time. Initially, I considered sightseeing by transferring on local buses, but since there were few buses and I was unfamiliar with the area, I opted for a two-hour sightseeing taxi tour. This choice was absolutely correct, as I was able to efficiently visit the main tourist spots within those two hours. The rain that had been lightly falling upon my arrival at the airport stopped, and I was blessed with good weather. From the Hirakusa Plain Observatory, I could overlook the entire town of Shirahama. The Sandanbeki and the caves were very mystical spaces. The Senjojiki was dynamic, and the contrast of the very white sand at Shirarahama beach with the emerald green sea was stunning. Engetsu Island left a strong impression on me. Since I collect goshuin, I requested a stop at Kumano Sanzan Shrine, and after that, I got off at the Tore Tore Market, where I enjoyed a seafood bowl for lunch and took a break at the hot spring (Tore Tore no Yu). The driver was very friendly, and his guiding was rich in topics, so I was never bored. He took many photos at the spots. I participated alone this time, but I hope to join with my family next time. はじめて南紀白浜を訪問しました。最初は路線バスを乗り継いでの観光も考えたのですが、バスの本数も少なく地理も不案内でしたので、観光タクシーの2時間コースにしました。この選択は大正解で、2時間の中で主な観光スポットを効率よく回ることが出来ました。空港到着時にはパラパラ降っていた雨も止み天気にも恵まれました。平草原展望台からは白浜の町全体を見渡せました。三段壁と洞窟はとても神秘的な空間でした。千畳敷はダイナミックで、白良浜はとても白い砂とエメラルドグリーンの海のコントラストが最高でした。円月島はとても印象に残りました。御朱印を集めているのでお願いをして熊野三社神社に立ち寄ってもらい、とれとれ市場で降車になったのですが、その後はランチに海鮮丼を食べ、温泉(とれとれの湯)で一休みもできました。運転手さんはとっても気さくな方でガイドも話題豊富で飽きることはありませんでした。スポットではたくさん写真をとってくれました。今回は1人での参加でしたが、次の機会には家族と参加できればと思います。ありがとうございまとた。
とれとれ市場は見どころ満載です。お土産類もこちらで買われるとよいと思います。空港や駅にはほとんどありませんでしたので・・・。

While there are local buses for sightseeing in Nanki Shirahama, I opted for a taxi tour since I was with my elderly mother. We efficiently visited various attractions in the heat, had lunch, and were taken directly to the airport, all within two and a half hours. The driver mentioned that there aren't many taxis in the area, and especially on weekends, with inbound tourists, the local buses can be crowded and delayed. It was definitely worth it to hire a sightseeing taxi, even if it was a bit more expensive. The driver was also very kind. I recommend taking a taxi for sightseeing in Shirahama.

After the typhoon passed, we were blessed with calm and beautiful seas. However, the lingering heat was intense, and we kept taking taxis to explore the area. Returning to the taxi felt refreshing in the cool air. The driver was very friendly, and it felt like we were having a normal conversation among three people (even though there were only two of us).
At 11 AM, we were picked up by the hotel, and after two hours, we enjoyed our last meal in Wakayama at a recommended burger place in front of the station before boarding the Kuroshio train. It was a relaxing and fulfilling trip. Thank you, N!

A trip to Shirahama with eight 82-year-old grandparents who were classmates in junior high school. Since it’s not easy for them to move around a lot, we requested a jumbo taxi that everyone could ride together.
We were picked up at the hotel and taken to various places, including Senjojiki, Engetsu Island, the caves at Sandanbeki, Shirarahama, a seafood senbei shop, and Tore Tore Market. We returned home very satisfied after visiting so many places!

It was a trip with my daughter and our 7-year-old child. When asked who we wanted to focus on during the tour, I immediately answered that it should be the child. However, our child loves nature, so they listened with sparkling eyes to the stories from our driver and guide, Mr. Man. Every view was amazing, and since it was a professional route, time flowed smoothly. In the end, our child didn't want to part with the driver and asked to call him again the next day. We talked about wanting to come back to Shirahama on the plane.
Simply seeing the scenery is one thing, but understanding why things are the way they are makes a clear difference in the emotional impact. I often use VELTRA when traveling abroad, and I've never had a negative experience. For those who are not driving, I highly recommend using their services as it will double your travel memories. I used this taxi service when I went to Shirahama with my mother. They came to pick us up as a pair. They took us to the tourist spots in Shirahama like a tour guide and even took photos for us. The two hours felt very short, and it went by in a flash. I later thought it would have been nice to extend the time. It was a bit lonely with just the two of us, so it was really fun to be able to go around with four people. In the end, they kindly dropped us off at our hotel. One of the drivers was from the same hometown as my mother, Nara, and they chatted happily. The driving was done by a woman, and it was very comfortable. I regret not taking a commemorative photo with everyone. I hope to use this service again when I come back to Shirahama someday.

The driver was very nice and took photos while explaining things. He guided us to see the spots in Shirahama from the best angles. The Sandanbeki Cave was impressive. We walked to the shoreline of Shirarahama, enjoyed the foot bath at Mifune, bought souvenirs at Uomasa Shoten, and had seafood bowls at Tore Tore Market. It was a very satisfying three hours.

The day before, we participated as a group of six across three generations. The younger child wasn't feeling well, and when they became unwell during the trip, we were able to stop at a store to buy what we needed, and we took breaks multiple times, even visiting some unexpected places. I felt sorry for the driver, as we ended up finishing without having lunch, which must have been hard work for them. We were able to visit all the places we wanted, including Kumano Taisha, which the older child had hoped to see, as well as Nachi Falls and the Kumano Kodo, which the elderly wanted to visit, so I am satisfied. This was my first time using a taxi tour, and it was really helpful to have assistance with elderly and children, so I’m glad I signed up.
