Take a trekking tour through the lush green forest of Yakushima Island at your own pace, with a private guide.

Make your way across Edo era logging trails, and amongst towering cedar trees (known as yakusugi). Keep your eye out for the local flora and fauna, such as the cute Yakushima deer. Your guide will happily explain the history and natural bounty of the island as you hike to the massive Jomon Cedar, passing by the famous heart-shaped Wilson's Stump. This 22 km full day trek is a great way to see the beauty of Yakushima, which inspired the scenery of the movie Princess Mononoke.
