I experienced an 8-wheel drive buggy with my family and five relatives, including my youngest child who is 12 years old. At first, they were scared, but they ended up having a great time, screaming with excitement. We found deer tracks along the way and had experiences that we wouldn't normally get to have. The person who drove us was also very entertaining, making for a truly enjoyable time. I definitely want to participate again.

I visited this activity with my girlfriend during our trip.

It was my first experience with a real buggy, and I was a bit nervous, but the instructor taught us carefully, so I was able to drive it enjoyably.

The driving experience in the square was quite a course, especially because of the rain, which made it feel like we were charging through a pond. The mud splashes were intense, but I had so much fun that I didn't mind at all.

It seems this riding club has several locations across the country, and the guide enthusiastically mentioned that in Kitakyushu, you can trek along the beach during sunset, which I would definitely want to try. It was a very nice experience!
I hadn't ridden a horse for a long time before I came to Yatsugatake, so it was like a new start for me. I speak some Japanese, but sometimes it was hard to understand explanations. Luckily, my instructor was very friendly and patient and always found other ways to explain rules or showed me an example. I was very grateful for that!
The only thing that I felt the experience lacked was some freedom. My horse always followed the instructor, so I was feeling more like sitting on it, not really riding (and controlling) it. But it may be due to my beginner level. I cannot really tell.
Anyway, I was quite satisfied!
P.S. It was also very kind of the instructor to give me a lift to the station as the place is rather far, and I found it difficult to get to the venue in the morning (I walked all the way there).

Aokigahara Forest Trek and Ice Cave Adventure near Mt. Fuji

This trek was amazing. Our guide was so knowledgeable of the area and its history and shared personal stories that helped us to really feel familiar with the place. The ice caves were beautiful. I have never done anything like this and it was so fun. I highly recommend this as a Mt Fuji activity. Make sure you wear layers because it gets chilly inside!

We had such a good time trekking through the forest and cave. Our guide, Tada was really knowledgeable of the history of the forest and the cave we explored. He shared a lot of really cool information throughout the day, made sure we had a great time, took pictures for us and did a great job keeping us safe while in the cave. The cave was quite cold and slick inside so I would recommend wearing good shoes and warm clothes. If your hands get cold easily I would bring your own pair of gloves to wear under the pair that was provided. That’s what I did and I was grateful for it. This was definitely a highlight of our trip and I would recommend it.

I participated in this tour because I wanted to do something exploratory rather than just walking through the well-maintained caves during my first visit to the Jukai. Since it was a cold day in early March, there were only two participants, myself and my husband, which allowed us to explore slowly while asking the guide many questions.

The day we participated was cold and rainy, but there was hardly any temperature difference between the outside air and the inside of the cave. The cave felt warmer due to the lack of wind. Additionally, since there had been little rain recently, the cave was easy to walk through without dripping water. There were many ice stalagmites, and I was moved to see the beautiful, highly transparent ice formations! As a result, it was the perfect climate for cave exploration.

During the exploration, the guide took many photos for us and sent them via email the next day. I am very grateful for the prompt and courteous service!

始めての樹海で、整備された洞窟をただ歩くのではなく、探検的なことをしたいと思いこのツアーに参加しました。
3月初旬の寒い日とういこともあり、参加者は私と主人の2人だけでしたので、同行ガイドさんにたくさん質問しながらゆっくり探検できました。

参加した日は寒くて雨が降っていたのですが、外気と洞窟内の気温差がほとんどなく。風がないぶん洞窟の方が暖かく感じました。また雨が少ない日が続いていたので洞窟内も雨水が滴ることなく歩きやすかったです。そして氷筍がたくさんあり、透明度が高くとても透き通ったきれいな氷筍を見ることが出来て感動しました！
結果、洞窟探検するには最適な気候でした。

探検中はガイドさんが写真をたくさん撮ってくださり、翌日にはその写真をメールで送ってくださいました。迅速な対応、丁寧な対応で感謝感激です！！

The first 30 minutes were spent with the instructor carefully explaining things and practicing walking, stopping, turning, and jogging. At first, I was anxious, but the horses were so well-behaved, and I could really feel the trust between the instructor and the horses, so I quickly relaxed.

After that, we took a walk outside following the instructor. It was raining, but I was healed by the horses wanting to eat grass and the forest and negative ions. It was a wonderful time!

Although I couldn't ride while gazing up at the Yatsugatake mountains due to the weather clearing up after the rain, the refreshing air of the highlands and the horseback riding through the forest provided a healing experience. I arrived about an hour early on the day of my visit, and I was able to enjoy coffee or tea service, as well as freely walk around the stable until the start time, allowing for plenty of time to interact with the horses. It was my first time riding, but thanks to the staff's thorough lessons, I learned how to mount and dismount, as well as how to walk and trot properly, before going out for a ride with a guide. I was able to truly refresh myself, thanks to the adorable horses (who literally stopped to graze at times) and the friendly, hospitable club staff!

そしていよいよ出発!!何度も河口湖や山中湖は訪れていますが、樹海は初めてのため、とても楽しみでした。到着した樹海は雪のため、とても神秘的で美しく、樹海に対してネガティブな印象を持っていましたが、ガラッと変わりました。

ガイドのめっしーさんの説明もとても楽しく、わかりやすくて勉強になりました。樹海の中を散策し、めっしーさんの説明を聞きながら歩くと富士風穴の入り口へ到着。こんなとこ降りていくの?というような狭い入り口にかかったはしごを下へ。洞窟の初めはゴツゴツとした溶岩でできていて、そろそろと降りていくのが精一杯。洞窟の中でもめっしーさんの説明をうけ、江戸時代から養蚕のために使われていたこと、当時使われていた木材がそのまま氷の中に閉じ込められていることなど、とても興味深いお話が続きました。つららや氷筍で覆われた洞窟はとても美しく、それまでのしんどさがいっぺんに吹き飛びました。

今回は雪景色の中の樹海探検でしたが、夏の緑に覆われた樹海もぜひ見てみたいと思います。そして、ガイドのめっしーさん、雪に不慣れな私たちにツアー終了後に情報のお電話をくださったこと、本当にありがとうございました。無事に大阪に帰れました!!

When I think of Aokigahara, I had a negative image and didn't consider it a place for tourism. However, a colleague told me that the hiking tour in Aokigahara was fantastic, so I thought it would be safe to join a tour out of curiosity.

First, we gathered at the office by Lake Kawaguchi, checked in, changed into the free rental coveralls, and received helmets and gloves. Perhaps because it was summer vacation, about 15 people participated, including couples, friends, and families. We set off in two tour company vans! After about a 30-minute drive, we took a bathroom break at the Narusawa Road Station, and after another 10-minute drive, we arrived at the entrance of the lush forest.

It was completely different from my initial image; the sun was shining brightly, and the hiking trail was well-maintained, changing my impression to that of an ordinary forest. However, since it was a forest formed by flowing lava and lacked soil, the trees couldn't establish roots, causing their roots to be exposed above ground, which gave a mystical impression.

Along the way, I saw mushrooms known as "monkey seats" and pine cones that had been eaten by squirrels, which was quite heartwarming.

We communicated as we encountered icy spots and low ceilings, and finally arrived at the innermost ice chamber. It was so beautiful that I was left speechless, with a vast expanse of ice spread out before us. Since the cave was completely dark, it would be wise to think that if you drop your phone, you won't get it back. However, if you want to take photos in this last ice chamber, it would be fine to securely keep your phone in your pocket.

Once we emerged from the cave, it was hot! I realized again just how cold the cave was. 樹海というとネガティブなイメージがあり、観光に行くところではないと思っていましたが、同僚が青木ヶ原樹海のハイキングツアーがすごく良かったと教えてくれたので、ツアーなら安全だろうと興味本位で申し込みました。

まず河口湖のほとりにあるオフィスに集合し、チェックインを済ませ、そこで無料レンタルのつなぎに着替え、ヘルメットと軍手を受け取ります。夏休みだからか、カップル、友達同士、家族を含む15人ぐらいが一緒に参加しました。2台のツアー会社のワゴンでいざ出発！30分ぐらい行くとある、なるさわ道の駅でトイレ休憩をし、そこから10分ドライブするとうっそうとした樹海の入り口に到着します。

最初のイメージとは全く異なり、日は差して明るく、登山道もしっかりしていて、普通の森と同じなんだと印象が変わりました。ただ溶岩が流れて出来た森で土がないため、木々が根をはれず、根っこが地上に全部出て盛り上がっている様子がまた神秘的な印象を与えています。
途中、サルの腰掛けと言われているキノコや、リスが食べた松ぼっくりの実が落ちていたりして、心が和みました。

さて、10分程度ハイキングすると、何やら霧が出てくる場所に辿り着きます。そう、そこが今回メインの天然記念物「富士風穴」と呼ばれる洞窟です。
地上から見てもこんな大きな洞窟が森の中にあるんだと驚きましたが、さらに驚きが！洞窟の気温は0度ということで、洞窟の入り口に近づくにつれ30度近くある地上との気温差をくっきりと体感出来るのです。顔が暑くて下半身はひんやりという感覚はとても面白かったです。

洞窟は真っ暗なので、ヘッドライトを付け、ガイドさんの指示に従ってゆっくりと降りて行きました。かなり急な箇所もあるため、一人ではどちらの方向に進んで良いのか、本当にこのまま進んで良いのかなど不安になるため、ガイドさんと一緒のツアーでないと来れない場所だなと思いました。始終、両足と両手を岩にタッチしながら進んで行きます。
氷が張っている場所や天井が低い場所などお互い声をかけながら、一番奥の氷の部屋に到着。思わず言葉を失うほどキレイなたくさんの氷が広がっていました。洞窟は真っ暗なので、携帯は落としたら出てこないと思った方が良いですが、この最後の氷の部屋で写真撮りたい方は、厳重にポケットに入れて持って行くのなら良いと思います。

There were train delays that day but the stables understood and had their driver wait for us no problem. This tour happened to be just myself, my cousin, and the guide! We had the most amazing time and we had the horses walk and sometimes trot at a nice pace because of our experience level. This trip was definitely worth the price hands down!

We had Tada for our tour guide. He has a great personality and was really entertaining as well as professional during the tour. We had 2 kids with us (14 and 7) and he was super patient bringing us through the cave safely.
By the end of the tour, the 7 year old loved this day trip better than Disneyland!!
It is definitely an adventure though, so don't expect boardwalks and steel railings on this trip. Just rocks and ice, a real underground experience!

The only thing I'd like to see is a hotel pick up service for guests in the Fujikawaguchiko area. It was only a 10 minute drive, but it would have been simpler than finding a taxi to take us.

AMAZING TRIP, it made our stay in Fuji unforgettable!

I've wanted to try caving ever since I saw it on a show called Crazy Journey, and I finally got the chance to do it!! On the day of the event, I was the only participant, so I received VIP treatment with two staff members accompanying me!! They explained about the Jukai (Sea of Trees) and answered all my questions!! The cave was dark, cold, and slippery with ice, but they guided me on where to place my feet and hands, adjusted the pace to match mine, and I was able to enjoy the experience without falling even once!! It was a wonderful experience! Thank you so much (*^^*)

It's not exactly an expedition, but it's not a place you can easily visit on your own, so I think a tour is a good idea. They provide the necessary equipment, so no preparation is needed. Even in early September, it can be cold inside the cave, and there is still ice remaining. Also, I wouldn't recommend it for people with claustrophobia.

It was not just an ordinary athletic course... Everything exceeded my expectations! Even adults were scared of the heights, cried from muscle pain, and returned to their childhood to have fun! I've tried most of the trendy activities recently, but this one was filled with clever setups from people who know the forest inside and out, offering a new kind of enjoyment!

What impressed me the most was that on all the courses, we used the equipment we had on our bodies to progress. In typical athletic courses, the ropes already have pulleys attached, and you just grab the rope to move forward. However, here, each course only had ropes set up, and we had to set up our pulleys to glide or hold onto the safety line to advance. It felt like we were truly engaging in a serious survival experience, which I think is an element that adults can enjoy.

Additionally, moving across unstable platforms like tightropes and the way you land on the zip line stimulated muscles that are usually not used, making it quite challenging for my out-of-shape body. I later asked the staff, and it seems that this location has the highest difficulty level among the Forest Adventure sites! I certainly had a fantastic time!

For those who have tried various activities and are getting bored, for nature lovers, and for those who want to be healed by nature, I highly recommend this!

あとからスタッフの方にお伺いしたのですが、各地にあるフォレストアドベンチャーの中で、難易度が一番高いようです！

Every day, the news about typhoons has been relentless, and I was wondering when the announcement of the end of the rainy season would come as I approached the day. Not wanting to have too many preconceived notions, I didn’t do any prior research on websites as usual.

With unstable weather from the morning, I was worried about whether we could go through with it, but I drove with a friend to Kosuge Village. After passing Okutama and continuing along the mountain roads, I had some doubts like, "Is there really an athletic course in a place like this?" but we finally arrived at the roadside station in Kosuge Village.

There was an entrance next to the parking lot, and as I thought, "So this is the place," I went inside to find a small hut nestled among the lush trees, where the reception was located. This hut, combined with the forest atmosphere, created a sense of adventure and heightened my anticipation for what was to come.

Being the first customers, it felt almost like a private session as we received thorough explanations from the staff and put on the safety harnesses. And then, we were off!

First, we tackled the beginner-level route. Even so, it was high enough that at first, despite knowing we had safety gear, I couldn’t look down at my unstable footing and just kept moving forward. Since everything was built using natural wood, there were sways along the way, which felt a bit scary at first as I wasn’t used to it.

As I gradually got accustomed to it, I started to wonder, "Can I let go of my hands?" and tried it, but it didn’t work at all. However, it was incredibly fun. Rather than focusing on doing it well, I felt fulfilled doing activities at heights I usually wouldn’t experience in the forest. As the levels increased, the variety of activities also expanded, making it even more enjoyable. By this point, I had gotten used to the height and felt relaxed enough to look around and check the height, feeling a bit like a lumberjack.

We took our time enjoying the athletic course while taking photos and videos of each other. (If you plan to do this, I recommend going early in the morning when there are relatively fewer people.)

As we neared the end, I felt a bit sad, reminiscent of returning from a school trip as a child. This was my first experience with a mountain athletic course, completely different from the golf, BBQ, and hiking I usually do in nature, and I was grateful to the inventor.

I started to think it would be even more fun if there were water and land activities near rivers and valleys. Such a luxurious wish bubbled up in my mind.

朝から不安定な天気で無事にできるかどうか心配しながら友人と車で小菅村へ。奥多摩を過ぎ、山間の道路をひたすら進んでいきながら、「こんなところにアスレチックなんかあるのか？」という疑問も多少ありつつ、小菅村の道の駅に到着。
駐車場脇に入り口があり、「ここかぁ」と思いながら入ってみると、鬱蒼と生い茂る木々の中に小さな小屋があり、そこで受付ということでした。また、この小屋が森の雰囲気と相まってアスレチック感を醸し出し、これからの出来事への期待感を高まらせてくれる。
一番客ということもあり、貸し切りのような状態でスタッフの丁寧な説明を受け、ハーネストという安全器具を装着。
そしてさぁ開始！
まずは、初級者レベルのルートを行く。ただ、これでも十分に高さがあり、最初のうちは安全器具があるとわかっていても不安定な足元をみることができず、前を向きながら進む。
すべて自然の木をベースに作られているので、途中途中も木の揺れがあり、こちらも最初は慣れずちょっとこわい。
だんだん慣れてくると、「手を離していけるか？」なんて余裕も出てきて、やってみるが全然ダメ。ただ、すごく楽しい。
上手にやるよりも、森の中で、そして、普段行くことができない高さでアクティビティをすることに充実感を感じつつ進む。レベルが上がっていくと、アクティビティの種類も増えてきて、もっともっと楽しくなる。このころは高さには慣れて、遠くを見渡したり、高さの確認をするぐらいの余裕。少し木こりさんになった気分に。
お互いに写真や動画を取りながら、ゆっくりとアスレチックを満喫。
（これをやるなら、比較的人が少ない朝一番がおすすめ。）
終わりに近づくと、ちょっとさみしくなり、子供のころの遠足の帰りのような気分に。
初めての山間アスレチックで、普段、自然の中でしているゴルフやBBQ、ハイキングなどとは全く異なる体験で、発明者に感謝。
河原や渓谷などの水場の近くで水陸両用のアスレチックがあればもっと楽しいかな？なんて贅沢な要望が沸々とわいてくる。
最後に。　自己責任とは言われたが、途中途中でスタッフが安全の確認をしにきているのがとても好感が持てました。

In just two hours, I was transported back to my childhood and had so much fun! It was just before the end of the rainy season, and although it seemed to be drizzling a bit, I didn't notice at all thanks to the trees acting as umbrellas. I was having such a great time that I wanted to go around again!

The athletic course, which preserved the trees in the mountains, was pleasantly cool even in summer because of the shade. There are five different courses, each increasing in difficulty, and for the more challenging courses, there are proper detours, which is reassuring. Of course, I chose the more difficult option!

The most fun part was definitely the zip slide! The exhilaration of gliding through the air and the satisfaction of landing successfully were just unbeatable. The speed varies depending on your posture and physique.

At this location, there is also a hot spring facility nearby, so after working up a sweat, you can relax in the hot springs, which is a wonderful perk for women.

And it turns out that this Forest Adventure has several locations in the Kanto region, and I definitely want to conquer all the parks!

ちょうど梅雨明け目前というお日柄で、少し小雨が降っていたようなのですが、
木々が傘になってまったく気付かず、楽しくてもう一周したいくらいでした＾＾

山の中の木々をそのまま生かしたアスレチックで、夏でも木陰のおかげで涼しかったです。
コースが5種類あり、段々とのレベルが上がっていくのですが、特に難易度が高いアスレチックは、ちゃんと迂回路もあり、安心です。
私はもちろん難しい方をチョイス♪

一番楽しかったのは、やっぱりジップスライド！！
空中を滑り降りている時の爽快感と言い、うまく着地できた時のしてやったり感、たまりませんわぁ～。
スピードは体勢や体格によって変わるとのこと。

今回のこすげでは、温泉施設が隣接していて、汗をかいた後は温泉に入ってさっぱりできるので、女性の方も嬉しい限り。

そしてなんとこのフォレストアドベンチャー、関東圏内に何箇所かあるそうで、ぜひとも全パーク制覇してみたいものです。

とにかくガイドの「うたえもん」さんに本当にお世話になりました。ありがとうございました。息子は早速、夏休みの絵日記に「うたえもん」さん付きでこの洞窟ツアーの様子を書きました。

I participated with three friends. I thought it would be a somewhat serious athletic experience, but I was completely wrong! It was thrilling and full of adrenaline!

I have done activities using ropes, carabiners, and pulleys, such as canyoning and climbing, but playing in the "forest" was also amazing! It was nice to enjoy it in the shade of the trees, keeping cool even in the summer.

I'm not particularly good with heights, but it's all about getting used to it. The first part, when my eyes weren't accustomed to the height, was the scariest! As I got used to it, I was able to cross a rope at about 15 meters high with ease. The zip line from a high vantage point was also exhilarating and felt great!

After receiving a thorough and simple explanation at the beginning, being able to enjoy the activities with a sense of personal responsibility was also nice and allowed for a relaxed experience.

Additionally, the anti-slip gloves sold there were very cute and reasonably priced, so I bought them and used them right away. There were also two types of face towels exclusive to "Forest Adventure Kosuge," and since they had cute designs, I ended up buying both! I heard the staff designed them. I highly recommend them!

It seems there are many sister stores, so I look forward to trying out many more challenges in the future!

以前より、キャニオニングやクライミングなど、ロープやカラビナ、プーリーなど、道具を使ったアクティビティをしてきましたが、“森”での遊びも最高でした！森の木陰で楽しめるので、夏でも涼しくて良かったです。

どちらかというと高所は苦手な方なのですが、慣れですね。目が慣れない最初が一番怖かったですw だんだんピントが足元にあってくると、15mくらいの高さにロープ1本でもサッサと渡れるようになってきますw
ジップラインも眺めの良い高台から、スピードが出て気持ち良かったです！

最初に丁寧でシンプルな説明を受けた後は、基本自己責任で遊べるというのも、のびのびと楽しめて良かったです。

また、販売されている滑り止め付き軍手もとってもかわいくお手頃価格で、買ってそのまま使わせていただきました。あと、“フォレストアドヘンチャーこすげ”限定のフェイスタオルも2種類あって、可愛いデザインだったので両方買ってしまいました！こちらのスタッフさんがデザインされたそうです。オススメです(^O^)／

姉妹店もたくさんあるようなので、これからもたくさんチャレンジしていきたいと思います！
