Since becoming the capital during the Joseon Dynasty in 1394, Seoul has seen vast changes on its way to becoming the international power it is today. Take a step back into the ancient culture of South Korea as you visit Gyeongbokgung Palace.

After the Korean War, Seoul experienced rapid modernization, minimizing most of its natural beauty. In recent years, large renewal projects have been undertaken in an effort to preserve the city's natural wonders, including the restoration of the Cheonggyecheon Stream, which has become a haven amidst the bustle of busy city life.
