See the very cross believed to be erected by Portuguese and Spanish conquistadors to the Philippines in 1521. The cross is inside a polygon-shaped chapel that sits next to another holy site, the Basílica Menor del Santo Niño de Cebú or more popularly known as the Santo Niño Basilica. The minor basilica is the country's oldest Roman Catholic church and was built to enshrine an image of the Santo Niño (Child Jesus) that was brought as a gift by Ferdinand Magellan to Rajah Humabon and his wife.
