A well organised tour. Not too rush and a pleasant cruise down the Chao Phraya river.

Ayutthaya January 2019

This was a very good day tour. We enjoyed the visits to the palace complex and the historical park and the boat trip was excellent. Our guide Paisan was informative but he spoke a great deal and his delivery was quite fast, which, combined with his accent, meant that not everything was easy to hear and understand.

Intense and educative program and wifi in bus

A minivan picked me up early morning to bring together with some other travellers which took us to the main bus. From there we departed to Bang Pa In summer palace. The weather was very pleasant for sightseeing as we arrived in the early morning.

After the Bang Pa in Palace we went to Ayutthaya temples, where we had own free time to explore the temples and ruins.
The guide was very knowledgeable about the former capital ofThailand and spoke fluently English. After the temple visits we could relax on the river cruise with a nice buffet which headed us back to Bangkok

Collection and drop off from my hotel was great, van was very clean and the driver very polite.
The bus which was used for the tour was clean and had good air conditioning. There was a toilet on board, but we were warned against using it.
The Summer Palace was a disappointment for me as even after my research, I wasn't dressed correctly and was not allowed in (I was wearing a floor length maxi dress with a sewn on 'shawl' like sleeve). The issue with my outfit was at the back, the shawl lifted up and you could see the shoulder straps of the dress. There was a small shopping area where appropriate clothes were being sold at a reasonable price, but as I am a larger lady, there was nothing that fitted me. I was able to buy some postcards and other souvenirs though, and the facilities were free.
The two temples we visited after were amazing. The guide (First) was very knowledgeable and provided some background details before we all wandered off to explore. There were the usual hawkers selling everything from purses to fruit. Its worth noting that at the temples you had to pay to use the facilities, about 10 baht.
There were also elephants at the second stop, but I was saddened to see chains and sharp hooks being used on them, while people blindly lined up and paid for rides.
The cruise was great, though by the time we arrived at dock to disembark, I was ready for a nap. The buffet had a good selection, plenty to go round (vegetarian options available too), with free tea and coffee, other drinks were avaliable for purchase. There was plenty of room to move about the boat, and smoking was allowed outside with the rear deck providing ash trays.
Over all, even after the disappointment of not getting to see the Summer Palace, I thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

We enjoyed the trip. The tour guide First was great and took the time to answer all our questions on the cruise back to Bangkok. He even gave us a lot of tips about our next destination, Chiang Mai. Trip was great but the food on the cruise back was bland and kind of boring.

Expected to explore the Ayuthaya temple complex longer but time was so limited there.

Humorous guide and interesting historical site but River Cruise was slightly too long as most passengers dosed off halfway. Prefer to be dropped off at more accessible location e.g. near train station, instead of directly at river side at the end of cruise.

We particularly like the fully preserved Buddhist temple at Ayutthaya. Seems to have some powerful intrinsic energy. The river cruise was excellent.

It was a nicely balanced tour--a little bit of several different types of activities and not too much of anything in particular. Good service overall, and the cruise was quite enjoyable.

My only complaint was that when I tried to confirm my booking by email (I hadn't received a voucher yet, but needed to change the date) I got no response.

The tour was very good and I enjoyed the guide. He was funny and knowledgeable.

One thing I noted was the lack of water. I have never before been on a tour where water was not included. Generally guides give you water when you get on the bus and then another with dinner at the very least. I was quite suprised when I had to pay 120 baht for a bottle of water with my meal. It would not have bothered me to pay a bit more for the tour but I was very annoyed to have to pay for such a basic need while on tour (and particularly with my meal). Thank you.

When we went it was just after all the rains had hit so a lot of the city was flooded which was a shame and we couldn't do the cruise part. Our guide Tim was very knowledgeable and the Temples we saw were amazing. Very worthwhile if you want to see part of the history of Thailand.
