Khao Yai National Park is a lush nature reserve and is one of the largest in Thailand with an area of over 2,000 square kilometers. Located in Nakhon Ratchasima province, the park forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Dong Phayayen-Khao Yai Forest Complex. Densely covered with hilly jungles, tropical grasslands and sprinkled with tumbling water falls, Khao Yai is a popular hiking and trekking destination where birds and animal species like elephants, macaques and deers roam in the wild.
To get to Khao Yai, you can take a guided tour departing from Bangkok to Khao Yai National Park. Get to visit some of the picturesque waterfalls such as Haew Suwat and Haew Narok. Stray a little and you can even stumble upon some wineries.
