    img5513 flandersfields Depart Brussels in the direction of the German Military Cemetery of Vladslo, where Käthe Kollwitz Sculptures of the 'Grieving Parents' is very moving. Then to the small city of Diksmuide where you'll visit the 'Trench of Death'. See the very impressive 'Gate of Peace' and the Ijzertower.
  • Monuments and Battles
    flanfield-brug-605 Passing along the Peace Mill, Houthulst and the Canadian Monument in St. Julien, you will arrive in Passchendaele/Langemark, where during terrible battles uncountable numbers of man have been killed. There is time for a refreshment of cheese and bread in the old cheese factory.
  • Commonwealth cemetery of TYNE COT
    IMG_5474Flandersfields Next, visit the famous Commonwealth cemetery of TYNE COT, where some 35.000 man lay at rest. Then you'll arrive at ESSEX FARM (former field hospital). Here, John Mc Crae wrote his famous poem “In Flanders Fields”.
  • In Flanders Fields and Ypres
    Visit the UNESCO-listed museum of “in Flanders Fields” that is situated in the world famous Cloth Hall. Along Hell Fire corner arrive at Hill 60, so famous for the “tunneling” war and the Caterpillar Crater for a visit. A short drive brings us back to Ypres, where you have free time for dinner.
  • Free time for dinner in Ypres
    At 8pm sharp, you will attend the moving LAST POST CEREMONY at the Menin Gate. After the end, drive back to Brussels, arriving approximately 10pm.
