Great StoriesReviewed by: Yuliya, 2015/10/26
My friend and I took this tour in the fall and it was the perfect way to avoid the rain. They allotted just enough time for each of the sights. We also had plenty for time to explore and take photos on our own. Our tour guide was fun, energetic, and knew tons of interesting stories about the sights. Context was very imprortant when the city is filled with similar looking columns and ruins. I found the Greek rumors particularly interesting, as well as the tradition behind the vessels found in the museum. The tour company did a great job! I'm looking forward to the next trip. Perfect for the elderly, bad weather and children.
Athens Sightseeing Tour - OctoberReviewed by: Maria C, 2015/10/26
My best friend and I visited Greece this past week. Our excursion involved two islands (Mykonos and Santorini) followed by Athens. Because it was October and the end of the tourist season there were not many things/events to do on the islands, so before we left for Athens we booked a tour with Veltra tours (Gray Line Greece) to do some sightseeing. The tour included a bus ride around the city, entrance into the Acropolis (if you go keep the ticket it gets you into all of the historical sights for four days, unfortunately you cannot go back to the ones you visited already), and admission to the Acropolis Museum (this is definitely worth seeing). The tour guide was amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable, but the most important part was that she wasn’t dry. She provided the right amount of information that kept the vast difference in age groups engaged and interested (our age group is about 20-30s, but there were individuals into their 70- 80s). The tour itself was great! It provided a solid start to our stay in Athens. The company provides numerous tours around Athens (which do to our length of stay we were not able to do), which includes sites right outside of Athens. Overall, I would definitely book this tour with this particular company again!
