Drive through Galway and take the road for Oughterard, said to be the official gateway to Connemara. Pass by beautiful thatched cottages and wildflowers along the hedgerows and see the famous Quite Man bridge from the Hollywood film starring John Wayne.

10:30 Boat Cruise or Killary Sheep Farm Visit
From April to October, enjoy a 1.5-hour cruise around the Killary Harbour. You will also be having lunch on the boat during these months. On the other hand, visit the Killary Sheep Farm from November to March. In here, you will witness a skilled sheepdog demonstration.

Head to the Kylemore Abbey for a photo stop. It's a romantic castle built among an equally beautiful landscape. The abbey is located at the base of the Druchruach mountains and offers views of the northern shore of Lough Pollacapall. You may visit the castle at your own expense.

15:00 Glengowla Silver and Lead Mines
Visit the Glengowla silver and lead mines. These mines were abandoned in 1895 and now serve as a museum that gives you a glimpse of what life was like back then.
