From Monterosso, take a 1-hour boat ride to Porto Venere for some free time. Explore the Doria Castle, the Church of St. Peter, and the Church of St. Lawrence and take some pictures of the towns popular sites. Finally, head to La Spezia by boat to board a bus for your return trip to Florence.
