The best tour we had during our trip in Venice. Thanks a lot to Cecilia, our guide during this evening. She is kind and knows every little things about wine and cicchetti, places to go. Urban adventure should tell the others operators to do the same !

The Chicchetti tour with Cecilia was one of the highlights of of our stay in Venice. Cecilia was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the neighborhood, giving us great tips and info about residential life in Venice. Not too mention the wonderful food and wine! We found ourselves the next evening wishing we could go on another chicchetti tour with the guide. It was too bad we didn't have more time in Venice to take advantage of her tips, and revisit some of the stops.

The guide Cecilia was excellent and added so much to our enjoyment of the evening. Would certainly recommend it.

The tour and the our Cecilia were great, we enjoyed it even though the gondola crossing (advertised) was not available on the Sunday when we did our tour (22nd July), still I have already recommended the tour and the website and will consider doing another one on my next trip to Berlin.

The wonderful Cecelia gave us an insiders guide to Venice that we would not have otherwise had. It was a great way to spend an evening escaping the tourist hubs. Hight reccommended!

This is a must do tour, giving you the opportunity to explore Venice as the locals see it. You get to sample some fab taverns and local wines/foods.

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Cecilia was recommended by a group of 'foodies' we met on a wine tour in Tuscany and we were delighted to be able to get into the group. It was small and intimate, she was very knowledgeable, and we went places we would never otherwise have found - they were authentic and delicious. We were able to apply some of her teachings in other cities we visited and have already recommended this tour to friends! NOTE, you have to be able to walk a lot, but we are confident that we saw more of Venice than we otherwise would have!

This was a great tour- my husband's favorite that we did in Italy! It was fun drinking wine and hearing about Italian culture and food.

This was a superb experience. Our guide was professional but friendly and informative. The wine and food we tasted were excellent. No small measures on the drinks!! We felt we had seen the 'real' Venice, where local people spend their eating/drinking time. Certainly not on the tourist trail. Highly recommend .

Very enjoyable adventure, little bit on the pricy side though for what you got.

We did this tour with Julia on Friday 23 Nov 2012. A great group of mixed nationalities; English, German and American. Really enjoyed each bar, each was different and had a great selection of Cicchetti. Julia was really friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions; however bizarre! We learnt alot of details about Venice that the usual tours would not have given us. Would highly recommend this tour, it's a great way to see the real Venice and meet new people. As we were having such a good time, our little group decided to stay together after the tour had ended and we returned to one of the previous bars! - Highly Recommended and a big thank you to Julie for a great experience.

We had an absolutely lovely time and great to have someone to show you around all the back streets. We would certainly do this again.

We had the most wonderful time. Lots of wine, local food and information that we wouldn't have known about unless we were locals in Venice. Highly recommend it to any first timers as well as to regular visitors. The guide (Cicilia) was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We loved the cicchetti tour-which was much more than eating and sipping delicious Italian wines. Our guide answered all our questions about Italy and Venice as well. So sorry we do not remember her name.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour - our guide, Cecilia was excellent and we had a lot of fun!

we went on our tour the first evening of our visit and it was certainly the best time to do it. we were tired as we had been up since four but Cecilia was sensitive to this but nevertheless took us on an extended tour around real Venice. Her knowledge of the historical events mingled with local customs certainly gave us an insight which we wouldnt have had if we had wandered around on our own. She gave us advice of good places to eat and we followed up on three of them. we were unlucky with 2 of them as 1 was closed on Mondays and the other was fully booked which is a good indication of its quality. we ate at ai promessi sposi and had a lovely meal sitting next to a group of aged locals who were lovely. We followed her suggested places to visit and was not disappointed as we saw Venice working.

We went on the Cicchetti tour of Venice on our arrival day so that we could familiarise ourselves with the different areas and eating places. Our guide, Clare, was full of enthusiasm and information. She was very patient and put up with our squeals as we travelled across the Grand Canal in a Traghetto! We had a wonderful tour, and even the confirmed beer drinker amongst our group of 5 tried and enjoyed the wines on offer. A great introduction to the city and highly recommended.

We've been on several tours in the past and I can whole heartedly say this was the best by far. Ceclilia really opend our eyes into how the Venetians eat and drink and we visted many of her suggested sites after the tour for the two days we were in Venice! We actually bumped into her again in one of the bars where she was conducting another tour and she took the time to come over for a chat! Highly recommended!

What an amazing experience. Cecilia our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgable of the area. We found the tour to be of great value, in fact we were so full afterwards that we did not need to go for an evening meal. My only one regret is we did the tour on our last day because it meant we could not go back and visit the fantastic places we had been shown.

Great way to experience the local venice. Do it on the first evening, lots of tips about eating and drinking without it costing an arm and a leg! Its also a great way to meet people - Cecilia is a great tour leader, fun and bubbly, but also knows her stuff about local food and wine. This is the second time we have done this tour, with a different couple each time.

Problems first - The meeting place is convenient once you locate it on a map. When I called to confirm the tour I hadn't been able to find it, and they told me to use Bing maps because Google maps and most guide books don't include this particular church or campo. Second, despite having a confirmation that stated a meeting time of 17:30 (5:30 PM) the guide told me that they had waited for me for the earlier tour, but no problem, join in. This made me the 13th member of a tour designed for 12 participants, so last minute quantity adjustments had to be made at the locations we visited.

After all of this was settled, the tour was delightful. It amounted to a pub crawl to 4 different places with wine and snacks substantial enough that there was no need for dinner that evening. I really enjoyed it because we visited places off the tourist path and in the process had some great food and wine.

Excellent tour with a passionate guide and a good small group composition. Highly recommend this tour as a MUST do on your first night in Venice. So much of useful information about the city and where to go, what to eat, where to dring wine and what are the best choices,

Although it was pouring with rain we still had a great time and met some really nice people. Cecilia our tour guide made the tour really interesting and minimised the time we were out in the rain. We sampled some beautiful food and wine and found out loads of interesting facts and good places to eat and drink. Cecelia could not have been more helpful and gave us a list of places to eat in the other cities we were visiting in Italy. We felt this tour was good value for money.

Our only regret was that we did not do the tour on our first night in Venice, that way we would have saved ourselves money by not falling into the tourist trap by following Cecelias advice.

We met other travellers from the USA and Sweden, we had such a good time with them we spent the rest of the evening in their company.

Great tour would do it again.

Fantastic tour - the best I have done for years due to the great guide Cecilia !!! She was so enthusiastic and attentive to everyone in the group from the old to the young girls who came with their family.
We would never have found the little local bars and eating places on out own, let alone know what to order.
Well done on a great and very recommended tour !!!!!
