  • 09:45 Meet your guide at Plaza de Catalunya at the end point of the Aerobus
  • Transfer to Falset by train
  • After arrival, check-in at guesthouse in Falset
  • Dinner in Falset at the llesqueria La Font Vella
    Enjoy a traditional Catalan dinner of simple dishes such as cheese platters, quality cold meat platters, salads, all served to make a perfect match with the spectacular wines of the region.

  • Visit of Castell del Vi centre
    almond tree The Castell del Vi, devoted to Priorat wine region, takes up three floors of a former fortress. Its interactive audio-visual display offers visitors a very different experience from that of the traditional wine museum to show the history and special characteristics of this winegrowing region.
  • Hike from Falset to Gratallops (Distance 8,6km)
    almond tree Ancient path which was used to travel between Gratallops (the capital of the DOCa) Prioratand False. Admire native holm oak woods and hazelnut groves, reed-beds and poplars and DO Montsant and DOCa Priorat vineyards. Cross Serra de les Obagues range and enjoy beautiful views of the Priorato.

  • Hike from Gratallops to La Morera del Montsant (Distance 13km)
    almond tree The longest leg, but don’t worry, because you’ll stop twice, at la Vilella Alta for lunch and at Escaladei for two hours. You will go up La Consolació hermitage, located at the top o a mountain, from where you can see La Vilella Alta, La Vilella Baixa, Torroja and Gratallops.

    Enjoy lunch at a pretty little village of La Vilella Alta, at a family restaurant which offers simple good Catalan specialities during lunchtime at great prices.
  • Stop at Sacala Dei
    almond tree Enjoy olive oil tasting at a local oil mill producer and a tour of the Scala Dei monastery. Wander around this monastery founded by French monks from Provence, who established here the first charter-house on the Iberian Peninsula.

  • Hike from La Morera to Cornudella (Distance 11km )

    almond tree After check-in rnjoy guided visit and wine and sausage tasting at the Celler Cooperatiu de Cornudella del Montsant, a long-standing multi-generational winery of notable modernist architecture built between 1919 and 1922 to a design of Cèsar Martinell, an architect disciple of Gaudí.

    almond tree Visit one of Cornudella for a private dinner experience. The owner, Joanne, will open the facilities to show you how she makes some delicious dishes for your dinner, which are a mix of Catalan and Anglo-Saxon cuisine.

  • Hike from Cornudella to Siurana (Distance 7km)
    almond tree Enjoy a gentle climb to the most impressive village of this area. Siurana is built of stone on cliffs with a fantastic view of the Montsant Natural Park. It was the last defensive point of the Moorish army in Catalonia during the Christian Reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula.
  • Salto de la Reina Mora
    almond tree See el salto de la reina mora, a cliff where according to a legend, the daughter of the last Moorish governor in Siurana, chose to jump into the void rather than be arrested by Christians. You can still see the marks left by the hoofs of the horse when it tried to stop before it went over the edge.
  • Lunch at a restaurant in Siurana with selected wines of the region
  • Free afternoon
  • Transfer to Falset and then by train to Barcelona
  • Arrival at Barcelona and check into your hotel
  • Dinner at a Basque tavern with Basque tapas and natural Basque cider

    Enjoy lunch in a terrific modernist dining room, designed and decorated by Domènech i Muntaner, a Catalan architect and a disciple of Gaudí.

  • Morning Modernism tour in Barcelona
    almond tree On your route we will stroll along some of the most beautiful streets in Sant Andreu which still keep the art-nouveau spirit in their buildings and which survived the Spanish Civil War. Some of them still keep an air raid shelter.
  • Visit historic shop
    almond tree You will also see some historic shops such as Cansaladeria Puig, built in 1909, and highly renowned among gourmets for its high-quality Catalan cold meats and situated in "la casa de la bomba" (the bomb house), Farmàcia Guinart (1896), a beautiful modernist pharmacy and some others.
  • Continue on the Modernist Route
    Continuing the route, you will walk along a 19th century alleyway, part of the architectural heritage of the city, where Isidre Castells spent 20 years building more than a hundred miniature Catalan monuments in his garden imitating Gaudi's "trencadís" (similar to mosaic).
