Commence your journey through the Highlands as you cross the Moray Firth to reach to the beautiful estuary of the Cromarty Firth - one of the largest areas of unspoilt mudflats in the UK and an important staging post for waders and wildfowl as they migrate south.

Next you'll have time to visit the sleepy fishing village of Cromarty with its quaint fisherman's cottages. This attractive town was the major port of Northern Scotland and its character has been preserved to this day thanks to careful conservation work.

Next stop is the attractive town of Beauly where your journey continues to the Muir of Ord where, if you so wish, you can visit the Glen Ord Malt Whiskey Distillery for a behind-the-scenes tour and tasting.

The last visit of the day is to the little village of the Drumnadrochit which lies close to the banks of the mysterious Loch Ness. Discover more about the loch and its famous resident at the Official Loch Ness Exhibition.

    3 Chanonry Point From Cromarty you'll travel through spectacular scenery to Rosemarkie and Fortrose. These picturesque villages are separated by Chanonry Point which sticks out into the Moray Firth, acting as a vantage point from which to spot a community of some 130 bottle-nose dolphins that call this area home.

    6 Glen Ord Distillery Next stop is the attractive town of Beauly. Deriving from the French, Beau Lieu (beautiful place) was so named by the monks who built a priory here in the 13th Century. Next on to the Muir of Ord where you can have a tour of the Glen Ord Malt Whiskey Distillery and a tasting session.
