The Chichen Itza ruins, Ek' Balam ruins, and Cenote Chichikan were all amazing. There were many comments saying the cenote was dirty, but I found it very pleasant, with fish swimming around, and I lost track of time while enjoying lunch there.

Especially, I was able to understand the details thanks to our guide Isaac's deep knowledge and passionate explanations in English. If I visit Cancun again, I would like Isaac to guide me.

One thing to note is that the entrance fees for Chichen Itza and Ek' Balam can only be paid in cash in Mexican pesos. This tour provided a link via email to pay for the Chichen Itza and cenote fees with a credit card, which I used, but the link did not include Ek' Balam. The entrance fee for Ek' Balam can only be paid on-site in cash in Mexican pesos, so please be careful about that.

I arrived at Chichen Itza early in the morning and was able to avoid the long lines at the entrance. The guide was experienced and knew how to entertain us, providing plenty of explanations about the highlights.

After that, the Cenote Chichikan was beautiful, and we enjoyed a tequila tasting as well, which allowed us to have plenty of time to enjoy everything.

My three hours at Chichen Itza were very meaningful, but I felt that the four hours spent visiting a privately owned property (which the owner claimed was a power spot) in partnership with the travel agency, shopping at a souvenir shop, having lunch at that shop (without air conditioning), and participating in activities run by that shop (like swimming in the pool, which was optional) were a waste of time.

The reviews mentioned that you could return to the hotel early, making good use of your time, but we left the site at 3:15 PM, and since it takes over three hours to get back, we arrived at the hotel at 6:30 PM, just before sunset.

The activities run by the souvenir shop were popular among those staying in downtown Cancun, but for us, staying at a hotel with multiple beaches and pools, there was no advantage to swimming in a pool in the middle of a field.

- The hotel pick-up was at 5 AM, but I was able to see great ruins that surpassed my sleepiness. Since we headed out early in the morning, by the time we left the ruins, the number of groups had increased, and I felt it was good to have taken the early tour.
- Because it was an English-guided tour, there were participants from various countries, in addition to Japanese people, and the bus was nearly full.
- The guide was a local expert, and it was very good to receive detailed explanations while viewing the sites (I feel that without explanations, just looking would end quickly). I’m not very knowledgeable about history, but I was able to enjoy it.

I participated with my 9-month-old son and my partner. Our hotel was the first pick-up at 4:40 AM. When we met the local guide in the lobby, we paid the entrance fee of $23 for Chichen Itza in cash. After that, we took a large bus that went around several hotels for about an hour on our way to Chichen Itza. There was one restroom break along the way, and we arrived at the ruins just after 8 AM. We had another restroom break at the entrance. For about two hours, the guide showed us around the ruins. The English was quite fast, and I had a hard time catching everything, haha.

The guide was very enthusiastic and spoke fluently, making it easier to understand, so I think it would be good to review the history beforehand. Also, there is little shade at the ruins. It’s a good idea to bring water from the hotel. I brought a parasol with my baby carrier, which was a great decision. I recommend taking a parasol if you have one. After the guide's tour, we dispersed at 10:20 AM and gathered back at the bus at 11:20 AM. One hour of free time felt a bit short to fully enjoy the ruins, but I was truly moved just to see the World Heritage pyramids! Considering my child's stamina, it was probably just the right amount of time.

After that, we stopped by a souvenir shop around noon. Here, we just waited for about 40 minutes, haha. When we got back on the bus, we were given lunch packs and ate sandwiches, water, and bananas on the way back, concluding the tour. On the way back, our hotel was the first drop-off, and we got off at 3:30 PM. Since we left early in the morning, I slept on the bus! Also, there was a line to buy entrance tickets at the Chichen Itza entrance from the morning, but we, as part of the tour, were able to go through the side and enter preferentially, which was great. When we looked back at the entrance on our way out, there was an even longer line. It seemed very crowded in the afternoon, but in the morning, there weren't too many people, and the sunlight was a bit more bearable.

This time, since we were with a child, I chose a tour focused solely on Chichen Itza, and it was a great decision because we were able to relax and enjoy the pool at the hotel in the evening. すごく熱心に説明してくれますし、英語も流暢で聞き取りやすいと思いますので、先に歴史の予習をしておくと良いと思います。また遺跡内は日陰が少ないです。ホテルからお水を持ってきておくと良いです。私は抱っこ紐で日傘を持って行ったのでとても大正解でした。日傘もあれば持っていくのをお勧めします。ガイドさんの案内の後は10時20分に解散し、11時20分にバス集合でした。1時間のフリータイムでは遺跡を満喫するには少し短い感じもしましたが、世界遺産のピラミッドを観れただけでも本当に感動しました！また、子供の体力を考えるとちょうど良かったかなと思います。12時過ぎにお土産屋さんに寄ります。ここではただただ40分くらい時間が過ぎるのを待ちました笑
バスに乗る際にランチパックを渡されてバスの車内でサンドイッチと水、バナナを食べながら帰路に着いてツアーは終了です。帰りは私たちのホテルが最初で15時30分に降ろしてもらいました。早朝出発だったので行きの車内は寝てました！また、チチェンイッツァは朝から入口で入場チケットを購入する列が出きていましたが、ツアーの私たちは横を通って優先的に中に入れたのはすごく良かったです。帰りに入口を見るとさらにすごい行列ができていました。午後からの方は人も多くとても混雑してそうですが、午前中は人もさほど多くなく、また日差しも幾分マシだと思います。
今回、子連れのため、チチェンイッツァだけの観光に絞ってツアーを選びましたが夕方からはホテルでプールに入ったりゆっくりできたので大正解でした。また、子供の体調をみて、今回は現地からギリギリにツアーを申し込みましたが、ベルトラさんはツアー出発の前日まで現地ツアー会社に私が質問したことを問い合わせしてくれて、とても丁寧な対応をしていただけたので、ツアー当日の朝までメールでやりとりすることができ、安心してツアーに参加することができました。さすが、日本のツアー会社だなと思います。おかげで、念願の遺跡に子連れで参加して、とても楽しい思い出をつくれました。チチェンイッツァだけに行きたい方にはこのツアーはとてもおすすめです。

Since we had an early morning departure, it was great to arrive in Cancun around 4 AM and have some time to relax on the beach. The Chichen Itza ruins were also very majestic and impressive. The guide provided information in both English and Spanish. I couldn't understand anything, but I think there was a lot of information shared. Even without being able to listen, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

We were scheduled to be picked up at the hotel at 5 PM, but they actually arrived about 15 minutes late. We switched to a large bus along the way. The seats were assigned and it was fully booked. The bus was dimly lit, and everyone was sleeping.
We arrived at the destination by 8 AM and toured with the guide. Free time started at 10:15 AM, and we were to gather for the return bus at 11:15 AM.
If I had read the guidebook in advance, I would have understood some English. I think the guide spoke relatively slowly.
Water and a hat are essential. We were told to bring our passports, but we didn't use them.
On the way back, we stopped for quite a while at a souvenir shop. They distributed sandwiches there, which we ate on the bus.
We arrived back at the hotel a little after 3 PM. It was a fulfilling day.

I participated in the [World Heritage Teotihuacan Early Morning Tour <English Guide / Departing from Mexico City>] last time, and it was so great that I joined this early morning tour again.

When switching from the pickup vehicle to the bus, you need to pay the tour guide a tax of USD 25 (MXN 406 pesos), so it's better to prepare exact change. I had to remind the tour guide for my change during the restroom break on the way back, and I did receive a refund before arriving at the hotel, but I think if I hadn't asked, I probably wouldn't have gotten it back.

It was nice to receive a confirmation email from the tour company the night before, but I was surprised to find that the pickup location was changed from the Crystal Hotel where we were staying (as stated on the voucher) to a hotel that was quite far away. When I inquired, a Japanese representative from Veltra replied and confirmed that we could stick with the Crystal Hotel and that they had contacted the tour company. Fortunately, I happened to be awake and was able to get in touch, but considering that when traveling to Cancun, one might participate in local tours early in the morning and return exhausted, it would be reassuring if the confirmation could be made at least two days in advance. In fact, if there had been no change to the pickup location as per the voucher, a confirmation email wasn't necessary at all.

On the day of the tour, the pickup was on time, and we took a van partway before transferring to a designated large bus. On the return trip, some passengers had to switch buses, but we were able to stay on the large bus. I appreciated that the air conditioning wasn't too cold.

Thanks to our enthusiastic guide, Marco, the tour content was fulfilling. I was a bit concerned about the inclusion of a craft shop (since I'm not interested in shopping), but the staff were not pushy, and the store was larger than I expected, so I was able to enjoy browsing. 当日のピックアップはきちんと時間通りに来てくださり、バンに乗って途中まで行き、座席指定の大型バスに乗り換えました。帰りも一部の方が乗り換え対象でしたが私たちは大型バスのまま帰れました。空調が寒すぎなかったのでありがたかったです。
ツアー内容は一生懸命なガイドのマルコさんのおかげで充実していました。民芸品のお店が含まれているという点が少し気になっていましたが（買い物に興味がないため）、店員さんも押しつけがましくなく、また思ったより広いお店だったので色々見ているだけでそれなりに楽しめました。比較的綺麗なお手洗いも使えましたし良かったです。遺跡については事前に軽くでも調べて知識をつけておいたほうが楽しめますが、その上でガイドさんの説明があるとかなり分かりやすく、また効率よく見ることができたと思います。自由時間もほどよく、ピラミッドの目の前のベンチで遠足気分でいただいたハムサンドを食べました。他はパックのジュースと、りんご、チーズスナックが入っていました。ピラミッドを眺めつつ芝生に寝転がってのんびりしたあと、現地を11時過ぎには出たのですが、だいぶ混んできていましたし、ちょうど雨も降ってきたのでこの早朝ツアーにして本当に良かったです。また、この日は薄曇りだったので昼間でも割と大丈夫そうでしたが、快晴の日の午後などはかなり暑くなりそうでしたので、その意味でも早起きする価値はあると思います。州をまたいで時差があるので、カンクンに帰ってくると15時ぐらいでした。ツアーだけで1日終わらず、まだ明るい夕方の時間も残るのが良いです。行き帰りのバスに乗っている時間が長いため空腹を感じることもありますので、ちょっとした軽食は持参したほうが良いです。私たちは日本から持って行ったスナックやクッキー、ホテル近くのコンビニで買っておいたマフィンを食べました。

I participated with my wife and two daughters (the younger one is 11 months old). While many other tours are full-day tours that include cenotes, this tour allowed us to return before 4 PM, which was helpful for keeping the kids in a good mood. I was a bit anxious during the meeting point (the bus arrived late, and since we were picked up by a minibus from outside the hotel zone and then transferred to a tour bus without any explanation), but our guide Marco was very kind, and his explanations sparked our interest in Maya civilization.

By the way, it says that children aged 0-4 are free, but there is an entrance fee for ruins for children over 2 years old, so if your child is over 2, there will be additional costs beyond the tour fee. I went to the meeting place as stated in the Japanese version, but there was no bus, and when I returned to the hotel, I received a message saying that it had departed just five minutes earlier. Even when I called the tour company, the response was slow, and although I sent an email to change the date, the reply took a long time. In the end, I received a response from a Japanese person the day before the new date, which resolved the issue, but the delay caused a lot of anxiety. I think it would be better if their response time was a bit quicker.

We departed early in the morning, but since it was a tour, I slept soundly on the bus. When we arrived at Chichen Itza, it was worth the early start as it was quite empty! It was a miracle that no one appeared in the photos I took in front of the pyramid. That was great.

During our free time, as it got closer to noon, more people arrived and it became quite hot. Since you walk a lot within the ruins, I think it's essential to bring sun protection and stay hydrated. In that sense, I’m really glad we were able to explore a bit while it was still cool in the morning.

However, we weren't very good at English, so we couldn't understand it at all. The mix of Spanish and English was difficult for beginners. If possible, I think it would be fantastic to have a tour with a Japanese-speaking guide that departs early in the morning.

早朝出発でしたが、ツアーなのでバスの中で爆睡していました。
チチェンイッチァ到着すると、早朝に出発した甲斐あり、がらがら！ピラミッドの前で写真を撮るときに、誰も映り込まないという奇跡。良かったです。
自由行動でお昼近くになると人は増えてくるは暑くなるはで大変でした。遺跡内結構歩くので日焼け対策と水分は必ず持っていった方がいいと思います。
そう言う意味でも涼しいうちにある程度回れたので、早朝出発で本当に良かったと思います。
ただ…私たちはあまり英語が得意ではなかったので、英語が全く聞き取れませんでした。スペイン語混じりの英語は初心者には難しかったです。
できれば、早朝出発の日本語ガイド付きのツアーがあれば最高なのになあと思います。

It was an early start, but I was glad to be able to sightsee during a cool time when there weren't many people around. On the way there, we had a bathroom break, during which we could buy breakfast. Additionally, we were able to split into Spanish and English groups for the tour. The guide provided thorough explanations, which was great.

It was a bit challenging to get to the meeting place early in the morning, but I was able to return at just the right time to catch my flight home that day. For sightseeing on a day departing in the evening to night, this was the best. The guide's explanations were very thorough (maybe a bit too particular!?), but even during the cooler morning hours, they chose shaded areas for explanations and took their time, effectively utilizing the space and making sure we knew what to see.

朝早く集合場所まで行くのが少し大変でしたが、その日に帰国する為にはちょうど良い時間に戻ってくることが出来ました。<<　夕方から夜に出発する日の観光としてはベスト。
ガイドの方の説明が非常に丁寧（ちょっとこだわりすぎるくらい！？）でしたが、朝それほど暑くない時間帯でも日陰を選んで説明場所としたり、ゆっくりする時間を取ったりで施設内の広さや見る所が何があるかを承知して時間を有効に使っていました。

色々な所で、大小のイグアナを見ることが出来ます。

I'm really glad I chose the early morning plan. I thought it might get too hot to handle if I waited any longer. The guide was very dedicated, and the scenery was beautiful, allowing for some great photos.

However, when we boarded the bus in the morning, we were given a bag with snacks and juice. Since it was before 5 AM and the schedule indicated that lunch would be provided around 10 AM, I opted for just drinks at a restaurant during our free time. I never expected that the snacks would be referred to as lunch. We ended up leaving at the meeting time, and we were on the bus from around 11:30 until 2:30. I regretted not having lunch at the restaurant instead. If it had been clearly stated that snacks were included, I wouldn't have misunderstood.

ガイドさんも一生懸命でしたし、とても綺麗な景色で、写真も綺麗に撮れました。

時間的には、朝5時前でしたし、
スケジュールでは、10時ごろにお弁当を配られると書いてあったので、自由時間にレストランで飲み物だけにしました。まさか、スナック菓子をお弁当と言う表現には思わなかったからです。集合時間で帰り道に出発になり、結局11時半ごろから2時半までバスの中、
これなら、レストランでランチすれば良かったと後悔でした。
おやつ付きと書かれていたら、勘違いしなくて済んだなあと思いました。

I was picked up at 5:00 in the hotel lobby (though they actually arrived closer to 5:30, but well, this is Mexico...) and after a bathroom break along the way, we were on the bus for about three hours to Chichen Itza.

I had heard that Chichen Itza was crowded with tourists, but as promised in the tour's description, there weren't many tourists when we arrived, making it feel spacious and pleasant. The ruins are located in the forest, so the sound of little birds chirping was lovely, and since the weather was nice that day, the ruins looked beautiful against the blue sky.

Inside the ruins, our English-speaking guide provided explanations, and we all shouted together to experience the sound echoes, which was a fun aspect of the tour. After exploring the ruins with the guide, we had about one to one and a half hours of free time. However, by the time we visited the Sacred Cenote and the Nunnery, and browsed some souvenir shops along the way, our time was up, and I wished we had a bit more free time.

On a previous bus tour in another country, eating and drinking were prohibited on the bus, but this tour allowed it, so I was able to enjoy the sandwiches we received during the round trip. The ham and cheese sandwich was delicious. Since it was early in the morning, I mostly slept on the bus, but there were also times for the guide's explanations. The explanations were in English and Spanish, so I couldn't understand everything...

ホテルのロビーで5:00（実際に迎えに来たのは5:30近かったけど、まあそれはメキシコだから、、)にピックアップしてもらい、途中１度のトイレタイムを挟んで３時間程度バスにゆられてチチェン・イッツァーへ。
チチェン・イッツァーは観光客がたくさん、という事前情報でしたが、ツアーの謳い文句にある通り、私たちの到着時には観光客があまりいなくて広々して気持ちがよかったです。
遺跡は森の中にあるので、小鳥の鳴き声が振るように聞こえてきて、さらに当日はお天気も良かったので、遺跡は青空をバックにとてもきれいに見えました。
遺跡内では、英語ガイドさんが説明をしてくれたり、音の反響を実際に体感するためにみんなで大きな声を出したり、ツアーならではの体験は面白かったです。
ガイドさんと一緒に遺跡内を回った後、１時間から１時間半程度の自由時間がありましたが、聖なる泉と尼僧院まで行って、あと途中のお土産もの屋さんを冷やかしたりしていたらタイムアップとなってしまったので、もう少し自由時間がほしかったなぁ、と思いました。

別の国のバスツアーに参加した際はバス内で飲食禁止でしたが、こちらのツアーは飲食禁止ではなかったので、ツアーでいただいたサンドイッチなど往復の移動時間で食べることができてよかったです。ハムとチーズのサンドイッチもおいしかったです。
朝早いこともあり、私はバス内ではほとんど寝ていましたが、ガイドさんの説明の時間などもありました。説明は英語とスペイン語なので、私にはすべてが理解できたわけではないですが。。。
