The guide was excellent and the overall experience was very good

Awesome lake!

Salzburg has a lot of shops. The lake after Salzburg was very beautiful, nice boat ride. Just need more time there to experience the village.

The tour was ok. It was raining in the afternoon at the lake district.

Trip to Salzburg and lake Wolfgang was awesome experience. We traveled through different lakes around Salzburg and took first stop at the City center around MozartPlatz. Then visited to lake Wolfgang and took a boat ride which was scenic experience. Thanks to tour guide Clara, she was very helpful.

Salzburg

Great tour, Salzburg was fantastic and we had a lovely day out. Our guide was knowledgable, friendly and patient. Thoroughly enjoyed! As it was November we didn’t get to see the lakes but we really enjoyed the extra time in Salzburg.

Salzburg and Lake District Day Tour from Munich

From the very start, it was not organized. There was no sign board showing which bus going to where at the front of the Karztdat Shopping Departmental Store. The tour guide was late with more delays picking some passengers from hotel which has not meant to. The most disappointing was the Passports. Two ladies had to turned down not aallowing to join. Bringing along passports should be the reminder on booking.

The tour guide was very lay back, everything was coming from the audio! Also, he was irresponsible and did not carry out what have been said on his instructions. When the coach arrived at Salsburg, he just simply dumped us at the palace garden and disappeared despite promising to wait at the entrance e of the garden in 15minutes time.

There was an incident that someone in our tour group who has her purse with money being pick pocket. Again, the tour guide did not giving warning about thief Ing has been going on.

I need to think twice to join any tours with VELTRA for all my coming holidays abroad.

At the meeting point there was a lot of buses, but we soon found our bus with Japanese audio guide included. The tour guide led the tour in English, but with our Japanese audio guide we didn't miss anything. Meeting time and place was clearly stated.
In Salzburg, first we had a short tour with the guide and the free time. We just saw the movie 'Sound of Music' and we could recognise many streets that appeared in it. So I strongly recommend watching it before you go to Salzburg!
Salzburg is a lovely and quint town. We saw Mirabell Garden and Mozart's house, took a cable car to Hohensalzburg Castle and had lunch in a restaurant nearby overlooking the city.
Then we went on a cruise on Lake Wolfgang. The view of Salzburg from the water and surrounding nature were really beautiful. Very pleasant cruise.

Mozart's home town

We joined the tour just to kill some time, but it turned to be better than we expected.
Salzburg is a small and quiet town surrounded by nature. The architecture was beautiful.
Lake district towns in the valley were also lovely. The view was amazing, I couldn't believe how blue the water was. I wish I had brought my swimsuit with me!

Lake District is unbelievable wonderful

Despite the rain on the day, which you cannot control, a great trip, capped off by the lake trip that was not affected by the inclement weather. Missing though was no introduction to the Von Trapp family home, which we have since been old it is now a restaurant.

Tour guide (Bettina) was very nice but a disappointment. It was hard to hear her comments while on tour. Also, she did not advise that we would not have a chance to use a restroom upon exiting the bus. It made several people very uncomfortable. We love Salzburg and the Lake District -- absolutely beautiful.

The cruise on Wolfgangsee was most idyllic and enjoyable.

The time in Salzburg was the perfect amount of time to see the city. The boat trip was nice but costs extra money. The tour guide was rude to us in the morning - while we tried to make sure we were on the correct bus, he raised his voice and yelled at us while acting annoyed that we were even asking him a question. Tour is in need of a new and more friendly guide. Something is going on with the tour guides and the extra money charged during the tours. We were not given a receipt for the boat tour and we were not told the cost for each ticket. This happened on another tour - we were actually over-charged the price of admission to the salt mines in the Berchtesgaden tour. Probably will not use this tour company again.
