Fun time and change from temples!

We really enjoyed our cooking class. We were just the 2 of us with an instructor that spoke enough English to be understood. They also have written instruction with pictures to follow. Our noodles were really good: pounding them was interesting. They have already made broths but you get to combine them the way you want. We also got the recipes for the broths in an email later. We cooked our noodles, the pork and then assembled our bowl of ramen. It's also a great lunch and at a very good price.

A Kyoto visit highlight!

Highly recommended activity for families. Michi was super nice and patient with us. We learned how to cook the meat, make ramen noodles from scratch, how to cook them perfectly and experiment with ramen broth. The stock is already prepared and we create our own versions of ramen broth by combining the prepared fish and chicken stock, and then adding in one or a comibination of flavors such as soy sauce mix, salt sauce or miso. The place was bright, clean, and organized. It was quite easy to find from the train station stop - Tofukuji. The best part is that we get to enjoy a hearty bowl of ramen at the end of the class! This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Kyoto.
