What to Do in Thailand during the Rainy Season
Thailand rainy season starts from June and continues into October. But despite the long monsoon period, the downpours are relatively short. Visitors can still enjoy warm and sunny weather for the most part of the day. The high level of rainfall also brings out the best of nature, with forests and jungles becoming greener and swelling rivers make ideal rafting conditions. What's more, there are plenty of indoor activities in Thailand that can keep you warm and entertained.
Here is a list of top things to do during the monsoon season in Thailand.

1. Go on a nature escape from Bangkok with a day trip to Khao Yai National Park and Kanchanaburi.
2. Get up close and personal with elephants at a Chiang Mai elephant sanctuary.
3. Dine in style in with a Sala Rim Naam dinner show at Bangkok's Mandarin Oriental Hotel, khantoke dinner at Chiang Mai or a Samui gastronomic feast.
4. Indulge in a relaxing spa and massage treatment at some of Thailand's best wellness centers in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket
5. Spend the evening with a cabaret show such as the Calypso cabaret in Bangkok, Simon cabaret in Phuket and Tiffany cabaret in Pattaya.
6. Learn more about Thai cuisine and drinks with a cooking class in Bangkok or a rum distillery tour in Phuket.
7. Embark on a white water rafting adventure at Mae Taeng River in Chiang Mai while the river is swollen and the rapids are wilder.
8. Visit the Araksa Tea Plantation from Chiang Mai and take part in the tea-picking activity.
9. Comb the beaches of Samui (during its rainy season from October to December) in Koh Nang Yuan and Ang Thong Marine Park.
10. Take an excursion to Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle bordering Thailand, Laos and Myanmar.
