Reviewed by: Calcifer, 2019/10/07I’ve never seen such a beautiful night sky in my life. The Milky Way was enchanting, as were the falling stars that we happened to catch sight of.
The tour starts with the guide explaining what you’re looking at. They use a green light beam to point out significant stars and constellations. They hand out binoculars midway through as well.
The (optional) photo-taking session happens while the guide talks about the night sky. It happens in turns so a staff will guide you when your turn is up.
Pro-tip: think of a pose before joining! My friend and I forgot to think of one beforehand so we ended up with just peace signs.
The tour ends with a sanshin performance. Lying on a hammock and gazing at the night sky while listening to the sanshin is quite theexperience. My friend was moved she cried.
This was definitely the highlight of our Ishigaki trip. 100% recommended.

The highlight of our Ishigaki trip
Reviewed by: Marlon, 2019/09/04This tour made our Ishigaki trip an unforgettable one. We were very lucky to be there on a very starry night. Everything was well organized from pick up at Ishigaki port and with our surprise there's a local staff who did translate in English for us as we were doing the stargazing. We availed hammock upgrade and a starry photo which was so instagrammable. A very recommended tour.

Good trip

Great team to deal with, however unfortunately the weather didn't allow me to view the stars
Reviewed by: Paul B, 2019/06/19I had signed up to the Ishigaki Island Hilltop Stargazing Tour which looked amazing. Unfortunately for the 3 nights I was there, the weather did not permit the activity to go ahead.
Having said that, the team were very helpful to deal with and easy to contact via Watsapp. They also gave adequate notice of session cancellation which was helpful in planning other activities.
Hopefully I will be back to try again soon!
