Definitely A Worthwhile Day Trip To Join

We stayed in Zurich; it would be rather impossible for us to visit Appenzell and more on our own without much hassle. This tour was well fitted in our itinerary. The trip was packed with a few places to visit: a good opportunity to sample and buy Lindt chocolate and it is such a happy place to be in; we loved the Appenzeller cheese tasting, the specially brewed apple cider and its outdoor area (a bit rush, another 15 minute more stay will be better). We chose to stay in Appenzell, not joining the others to go to the mountain. We spent a few delightful hours in trying the beer and special chips at the brewery, walking around and taking photos of the houses with unique frescoe, touring the museum to learn about the history of Appenzell (highly recommended), and sitting down to have a hot chocolate and biscuits in a local cafe. Surely, there are more to be discovered (unfortunately, the main church is closed for renovation); but, we were happy to pick a few things to do and did it leisurely. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this trip, especially the picturesque and quaint small town of Appenzell. Lastly, our driver and guide, Konrad, who's friendly and provided us interesting information about Switzerland and Appenzell from start to finish - thank you.
