It was a great experience. There is an addition 100Yen tax fee to be paid per person at check in. Otherwise the island is beautiful. 5 hrs is a bit too short though.

Q. What happens if the tour is cancelled?
A. We will call the hotel/cellphone number you provided to inform you about cancellations. We will also send a fax to your lodgings. We do not send e-mails, as many guests tend to overlook them.
Q. What if I need to leave suddenly?
A. We will do our best to find you a seat on the next boat going back to Tomarin Port. We cannot provide non-scheduled transportation back to Naha.
Q. Can I change my return time?
A. If there are open seats on earlier or later boats, it may be possible. In high season, due to the lack of open seats, please understand that this will not be possible.
Q. What happens if the weather suddenly changes?
A. In this case, you may be returned to the port earlier than scheduled.
Q. Can elderly guests, small children or guests with disabilities participate in this tour (is the island wheelchair or stroller accessible)?
A. They may participate, but in case of strong waves, we may have to decline for safety reasons. You may use wheelchairs and strollers, but the island does not have paths, so moving them through the sand will be extremely difficult. Guests who need wheelchairs will need to be accompanied, as the steps up to the boat and wharf are steep. On the island, you will need to walk use canes or the assistance of an aide.
Q. What facilities are available on the island? Is there shade?
A. On the island there is a dining terrace that can accommodate 100 guests. You can also rent a rest cottage or umbrella. In case guests get sunstroke, we have a cooling room available.
Q. Is there cellphone reception on the island?
A. Depending on carrier, there is access although the connection is weaker than usual. FM/AM transmission is fine. (NB. In case of emergencies we have wireless communications back to the mainland).
Q. Are there showering/bathing facilities?
A. There are showers available, but please refrain from using shampoo or soap. The showers are open from 7:00 to 20:00. Toilets are available 24 hours a day.
Q. Can I use credit cards on the island?
A. No, on the island we can only accept cash payments.
Q. I am travelling with my 4 year old child, and would like to know of he/she can take part in snorkeling, to see the fish?
A. It is possible to see many kinds of fish in the swimming area, and is also possible to feed them. If you are worried about being overwhelmed by other swimmers, we can also take you to a snorkeling area. We will provide life jackets, so that your child may snorkel safely. Depending on season, there may be triggerfish in the area, which are known to bite. During these times, we do not recommend feeding the fish.
Q. Can I reserve a rest cottage?
A. Yes, for approx. 5000 yen per day. In the summer they fill up quickly, so we recommend reserving early (please inform us after you complete you booking). If there are open cottages, it is possible to rent one after arriving on the island (cash payment only).
