First of all Our guide Pieter and driver Paul were incredible - we could not have been happier with both of them - seeing Brussels was very interesting and having Pieter explain all the history was fascinating - I highly recommend this tour

Best 6 hours in Brussels

Reviewed by: Anita Gupta, 2019/05/17

I had very little time to cover Brussels but I heard about this 11 hour bus tour! I believe I made the right decision and if anyone else has limited time to cover Belgium, would highly recommend them. They cover all the major tourist locations and also give you 2-3 hours free time to hang around the city centre. I took a walk about the EU buildings, got lunch and walked around the town in that duration. IMO, you would never cover so much in a day if you had to cover the city on your own.

Its a great tour for those with limited visiting time. It definitely gives you an idea on your next vacation plan. There was no problem from booking to the tour itself. Punctuality and schedule was observed. The tour guide was kind, considerate and made the journey interesting

Day trip from Amsterdam to Brussels

It was a wonderful experience! Good weather, good bus, good tour guide, gorgeous city! The only negative thing was, that in an itinerary, it said one stop in Antwerp! This never happened, and it was disappointing!

A waste of time and money

Reviewed by: Kathy, 2018/05/25

I found this trip to be a complete waste. The tour guide was unfriendly and difficult to understand due to a heavy accent and less than adequate English skills.
The little that was understandable was very uninformative , nothing more than pointing to buildings and naming them. Even that was not particularly useful due to the fact that the driving was simply terrible. A series of speed and breaks made us nauseated. The bus went about three rounds around the same area, but the driving was so halted with sharp breaks that we were too busy trying to hold on to our seats to be able to see anything. Not to mention that more than twice the bus was very close to ram in to a tram. Forget the monuments hang on for dear life!
The tour was supposed to be bilingual in English and Spanish. However the commentary was mainly in Spanish with a couple of sentences in English thrown in here and there.
There should have been a possibility to go on a tour with the guide to the diamond workshop, which was one of the key reasons we decided to go on this tour. The guide decided to just cancel that on his own without informing anyone.
The whole thing was very rushed and low on info.
During the 12 hour tour, apart from a 20 minutes demonstration at chocolate factory we did not go inside one single building. We were just running from one location to the next as if to make a check point.
With this kind of guidance we might as well have been on a city bus, where at least we would know the possibility of a crash is not so probable.
At about 3 o'clock we were given 3 hours to walk around and meet at the bus for the journey back. At this point we were so frustrated and disappointed that we decided to pay as much as we had spent on the tour itself, on train ride back to Amsterdam.

A Day in Brussels...almost a bust, but it wasn't!

Reviewed by: Buck W, 2018/05/24

I enjoyed the stop at the Atomium amd the tour of historic Brussels. I was able to get to see and take a picture with the Jean Claude Van Damme statue as I'm a fan.

My only disappoint was not adding to my Harley t-shirt collection as the dealership as it was the county's Labor Day. I guess I had been do more research than time!

The tour guide Alex did a great job with the overall tour.

WONDERFUL Day Trip to Brussels and Antwerp.

Reviewed by: Karen Byrd, 2018/04/27

I so enjoyed the trip to Brussels and Antwerp. Of course one of the highlights was the chocolate demonstration. Like having some free time also in Brussels to explore the city on my own. The commentator on the coach was very informative and helpful even in the city and ask if we needed help in getting back to the coach at the end of the day. Thanks for a wonderful day trip.

Terrific day trip. Our tour guide spoke excellent English and provided a very good commentary of the various places we saw or stopped at. Seeing the EU / EC buildings was definitely a highlight as you see so much in the news about various issues being discussed here. Everything was well organised and the bus ride was very comfortable. Well run and definitely worth adding to your itinerary.

Busy schedule but worth going!

Reviewed by: poncan, 2015/09/14

The group size was about 30 people. It was a duo-lingual tour in English and Spanish.
We left Amsterdam at 9:30 and arrived at Antwerp after 2 hour drive. We spent there about 1.5 h. There was a possibility to go on a tour with the guide to the diamond workshop, but we decided to break up from the group and to visit the Cathedral. It was about 20 min walk from the meeting point, which was at Rooseveltplaats tram station. The Cathedral is definitely worth a visit - it has a lot of wonderful Ruben's paintings. It's better to have google maps with you or a paper map, because the guide will only be able to point you the direction. In a big hurry we managed to see the main square and run back to the bus.
From Antwerp it was about 45 min drive to Brussels. First we stopped for 15 min break at the Atomium statue, built for Expo fair.
In Brussels we got off next to Cathedral of St. Michael. The group divided into English and Spanish speaking, and we visited the cathedral together. However we decided to separate from the group and continue on our own, as the Grand Place was just 500 metres away. We explored the square and saw the famous pissing boy statue. Then we had mules for lunch and even had some spare time for shopping.
In each city, if you decide to go with the guide, you won't have enough of free time. If there's something you want to see in particular, you better reconfirm meeting time and place, and go to explore on your own.
Overall we were very satisfied with the tour in terms of the time and money,

Full of Highlights

Reviewed by: kanana, 2015/09/14

While visiting the Netherlands, we wanted to visit neighbouring Belgium, that's why we booked this tour. It's an efficient bus tour, so we recommend it to those who don't have a lot of time. In both Brussels and Antwerp we had free time to explore on our own, and we didn't feel rushed at all.
In Antwerp. first we listened to the guide's explanation about the palace and other buildings on a short walking tour, and then we had free time for lunch.
Breakup and meeting point was on the main square full of restaurants and shops, and we managed to see quite a lot within 1 hour we had. Fir e.g. we saw Rubens painting shown in the film 'A Dog of Flanders'. We also visited Cathedral of Our Lady, with beautiful collection of paintings by Rubens - a must see when you are in Antwerp.
In Brussels, you can join a walking tour with the guide, but we decided to walk around by ourselves. From the place where the bus was parked, it was quite close to the Grand Place and other main sights of Brussels.
Travelling by bus from the Netherlands to Belgium takes time, but we had stops for toilet along the way and enjoyed the whole journey very much.
The timing was very punctual and we arrived back in Amsterdam on time.
The guide was very nice and we spent a very good time with her.
If you are in Amsterdam, we would definitely recommend this tour.

The guides we had were very informative and friendly. The amount of time we had for the Antwerp stop I felt a bit rushed, but the other places were not bad and had plenty of time for a beer and shopping. I would recommend anybody wanting to get a little glimpse of another country on a time fr<x>ame.

This is a nice tour to add when you are in Amsterdam. the full-day tour was ok but I just find the Antwerp visit very fast. I didn't have enough time to do some souvenir shopping and photo-opp maybe because it was raining and there wasn't much crowd to truly enjoy the town plaza.

The visit to the Atomium was just for photo-taking. 15 mins. was allocated in the tour so I was not able to visit the mini-Europe nor get too close to the Atomium.

The Brussels tour was okay as we spent around 3 hours to check out the town plaza, enjoy shopping for souvenirs and Belgian chocolates, have snacks and more photo opps.

Our tour guide was really knowledgeable of History and provided plenty of info while going through the tour.

The tour was good. But all the places were shown from inside the bus only.
Tourists will be left for 3 hrs just for shopping and not for any site visit.
I recommend to include 1 or 2 places for tourists to be shown by walk instead all the places from inside the bus.

Loved the idea that you could go on a day trip to Antwerp and Brussels from Amsterdam. The tour guide did not guide us even a bit before giving us free time. Because of this, I did not get to see Manneken Pis.
