  3. Yamahoko Junko
    On July 24th, 11 floats join the procession. A key highlight is the "Kuji-aratame" (lottery inspection ceremony). Since the parade order is drawn in advance, the Mayor of Kyoto performs a ritual during the event to verify that all floats are in their correct positions.

Restrictions

  • This viewing area is designed for international visitors, but reservations are open to guests of all nationalities.

  • Please bring a raincoat in case it rains during the event.

Additional notes

  • The Yamahoko Junko procession will take place rain or shine. No refunds will be issued unless the procession itself is cancelled. Refunds will only be processed at the original place of purchase. Please note that ticketing and delivery fees related to payment processing are non-refundable.
  • This ticket is non-refundable unless the festival itself is cancelled.
  • Extreme heat is expected, so please stay hydrated and take care of your physical condition. We also ask that you take your own heat prevention measures, such as bringing a hat. (Parasols/sun umbrellas are not permitted as they block the view.)
  • To avoid obstructing the view of other guests, the use of parasols, sun umbrellas, and tripods is strictly prohibited in the viewing area.
  • When taking photos or videos, please be considerate of other spectators and ensure you do not cause any inconvenience.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited.
  • Anyone who causes a nuisance to other guests inside or outside the venue and fails to follow the staff's instructions will be requested to leave. In such cases, no refunds will be provided.
  • Please note that the Kyoto City Tourism Association assumes no responsibility for any damages or losses incurred within the seating area.
  • Please refrain from bringing alcoholic beverages into the paid viewing area and drinking alcohol.
  • Please remain quiet during the performance, and refrain from wearing clothing with excessive exposure or overly elaborate decorations.
  • On July 24th, an English audio guide service is included, which you can listen to using your own smartphone and earphones. (Please ensure you bring your own smartphone and earphones.)
