I visited Gujo, Takayama, and Shirakawa-go. Each location had about 1 to 2 hours for exploration and free time, but I thought it would be good to have a list of points I wanted to visit in advance. The shrines were located away from the exploration area, so I couldn't visit them within the time limit. The natural beauty and the atmosphere of each building and town were truly stunning, and I was very moved. I'm really glad I participated.

それぞれ1時間〜2時間の散策と自由時間でしたが事前に行きたいポイントを押さえておくといいなと思いました。
神社は散策エリアから離れるので、時間内での参拝は出来ませんでした。

Most of the participants were from abroad, but the guide was able to communicate in Japanese, so I enjoyed the experience without any worries. Everyone on the bus was quiet, punctual, and followed the rules.
One concern was that the bus was not cleaned properly. There were crumbs of food on the seats, and the windows had what looked like human grease stains on them.

I used a day trip bus tour to Ise Jingu from Nagoya Station, and I was very satisfied with the experience. The tour guide provided detailed explanations along the way, and was kind enough to take photos for us at each destination. The meals were plentiful, and I couldn't finish them all.

About 70-80% of the participants were Chinese. You are assigned a specific seat number when you check in. Our guide, Lee, spoke Japanese very fluently and was easy to understand, providing explanations with a map for each family. He informed us in advance about key points and important notes, so we didn't encounter any issues.
On the way from Nagoya Station to Takayama, there was one restroom break at a service area, and there were no breaks from Takayama to Shirakawa-go, but there was one break from Shirakawa-go back to Nagoya Station. Even when we hit traffic, the driver used his knowledge to avoid delays by getting on and off the expressway, allowing us to arrive on time.
Everyone was punctual, and there were no loud or disruptive individuals; good manners were observed. If you have a free day, I think it would be a good idea to make a reservation.

It was cloudy, but the wind was cool and comfortable for this time of year. The participants were punctual, so we were able to return an hour early. The guide was kind and cute, and the driver was skilled. I have no complaints; it was fun. By the way, there were about five Japanese people.

I was looking for tourist spots in Nagoya that I could visit before the night bus departure, and the timing and price were just right, so I decided to join as a solo participant. As the reviews mentioned, it was mostly a tour for international travelers, with about 40 people, and only three of us were Japanese.
In the morning, I felt a bit anxious, but everyone was very well-mannered, acted on time, and the bus was completely quiet and comfortable. The tour guide was also very polite, explaining the pamphlets one by one at each seat, which made it easy to understand.

The couple's rocks and the lower shrine had a stay of about 40 minutes, which was just the right amount of time. At the inner shrine, we stayed for 3 hours and opted for a free plan without meals. We were able to enjoy various foods and take our time with the worship. I was able to visit Amano Iwato, which is not easily accessible by train alone. When I toured Ise Jingu by train last January, I had trouble moving from the outer shrine to the inner shrine because the bus from the outer shrine was crowded, and I had to wait for a bus when trying to board from Ise City Station. It was my first time in Kamikochi, and it truly lived up to its reputation as a famous scenic spot in Japan. Thank you to both the driver and the guide for their hard work. They were very skilled, which made me feel at ease during the trip. I definitely want to use their services again. This was my first time visiting Takayama and Shirakawa-go. It was a one-day course departing from and returning to Nagoya. The tour guide and the bus driver were wonderful, making the journey comfortable both ways. Just before arrival, the tour guide wrote notes on a map and explained it to each group. The driver was always smiling and had a great vibe.
As for the sightseeing spots, I can say they are "a must-visit at least once in your life." Especially in Shirakawa-go, I recommend the "interior tours" at several houses. I visited Meizenji, and it was incredibly fascinating to see the depth of history and culture!

I think we were the only two Japanese participants this time. The guide was from China and explained the highlights of each location in Chinese, English, and Japanese. I felt it was a great value to visit three places at this price.

As I read in the reviews, it was quite a struggle to find the guide at the morning meeting point. Once I found someone who seemed to be the guide, I was shown a list to find my name. If it wasn't there, I had to go to the guide for a different bus and search for my name again.
Once the group gathered, we hurriedly followed the guide to the bus stop. The guide was Chinese, so the initial explanation was in Chinese, followed by a brief translation in English. There was hardly any explanation in Japanese.
Before arriving in Gujo, there was a long explanation in Chinese, then a brief summary in English and a little in Japanese. The free time was less than an hour, and those who wanted to walk freely had to do so on their own, while others followed the fast-paced guide. During the walk, there wasn't much explanation, and participants were busy taking photos while trying to catch up with the guide.
Once everyone was gathered, the bus departed for Hida Takayama. Again, the explanation was long in Chinese, with a simple English summary, and in Japanese it was very brief, like "This is Hida Takayama. The meeting time is at what time. That's all." I had been there several times before, so it was fine for me, but my partner, who only speaks English, found it difficult to understand if they weren't focused when the guide explained in English.
The old town was crowded with foreign tourists, and entering shops took some time, so we just walked around without stopping anywhere. The free time there was about two hours, but as long as we decided on which shops to visit and where to grab a snack, we managed to get around. This time, we had Hida beef buns, visited a chopstick shop (where I had my name engraved on chopsticks), enjoyed mitarashi dango, gohei mochi, and even did a sake tasting at a brewery (though we rushed through it).
We arrived at Shirakawa-go around 4 PM, so it was disappointing that some shops and houses were closed. The sightseeing there was mostly free as well.
We felt good about visiting three cities in one day, but I wished the guide had done a bit more guiding. If I could wish for anything, I would have liked a bit more free time, especially since our stay in Gujo was too short.
So, I gave it a rating of ⭐3.

自由時間は1時間もなく、自由に歩き回りたい人は自分で歩きそれ以外は早足のガイドに着いていく感じ。
歩いている間たいした説明もなく参加者は写真を撮っては早歩きでガイドに追い付く感じ。
そして人数揃ったらバスは出発飛騨高山へ。ここでも説明は同じく長い中国語での説明と簡単な英語に日本語では「飛騨高山です。集合時間は何時です。以上」みたいにとても簡素でした。
私は何度か行っていたのでそれでも大丈夫でしたが、初めて行ったパートナーは英語しか喋れないのでガイドが英語で説明する時に集中していないとよくわからない感じでした。
古い町並みは外人の観光客で溢れ、お店に入るとちょっと時間がかかってしまうため片道はどこも立ち寄らずに町を見て歩いた感じです。
そこでの自由時間は2時間くらいの自由時間でしたが行く店と買い食いするお店さえ決めておけばなんとかまわれました。
今回は飛騨牛肉まん、お箸屋さん（お箸に名前を入れてもらいました）、みたらし団子、五平餅、そして酒蔵にて飲み比べ（かなり急いで飲みましたが）もできました。
そして白川郷に着いたのが4時くらいだったので閉まっているお店や家があったのが残念でした。
ここでの観光も殆ど自由でした。
私たちは1日で3都市まわれたので良かったと思っていますが、ガイドとしてついて来るならもう少しガイドらしいことしてほしかったです。
欲を言えば自由時間がもう少し欲しかったなあと。
特に郡上での滞在は短すぎました。
ということで⭐3にさせてもらいました

Both the bus driver and the guide were very kind and accommodating. There were just under 40 tour participants, and our family of four was the only Japanese group. Some reviews mentioned that those who might have reservations about joining a tour with foreigners (from Korea and Taiwan) should consider it carefully, but we had no such concerns at all.
