The guide was a young man who skillfully spoke English, Chinese, and Japanese, and he was very kind. I hadn't done much research before going, so I was a bit anxious, but there were no problems at all. The driver's driving was safe, and I didn't feel any anxiety. We visited three places, which was a bit hard, but each had its own charm, and we were blessed with good weather, making for a fulfilling day. There were many foreign visitors. The car was very quiet and comfortable during the transfers. Still, when we arrived at Nagoya Station, the final greeting from the guide was met with applause and shouts of "thank you" from the passengers, which made me feel very warm inside.

The guide was an excellent person who was fluent in English, Chinese, and Korean. They distributed maps and provided detailed explanations to each individual, which was very kind and greatly appreciated. The other guests were quiet and punctual, and although there was a bit of a traffic jam waiting for parking at the entrance to Shirakawa-go, we were able to get through quickly, which was good.
However, it was disappointing that while the two-hour exploration of Takayama was nice, two hours in Shirakawa-go was not enough, and I couldn't make it to the observation deck. The shuttle bus had a long line, and I tried to walk but ended up taking the wrong path. If the tour can't be extended due to the driver's working hours, I think it would be better to have an hour and a half in Takayama and two and a half hours in Shirakawa-go.
The foreign students I brought along (from Vietnam) were very moved and said they created lifelong memories, so it was worth taking them. Thank you very much.

I participated in this bus tour, but unfortunately, the service was very poor, and I cannot recommend it.
1. Tour Guide's Response
The tour guide was Chinese and had limited Japanese skills, making communication difficult. Additionally, they seemed inexperienced with the tour's progression, and information sharing about meeting places and times was insufficient.
2. Mistake in Meeting Place Guidance
There was no announcement regarding the meeting place or itinerary changes, and we ended up waiting in the wrong location. Afterward, we headed to the correct meeting place, but the bus ended up passing by the original location where we were waiting. If there had been an explanation when I called about the delay, we wouldn't have needed to move unnecessarily. It was very challenging to rush down a crowded street with a small child in the snow and poor footing.
3. Impact of Other Participants' Delays
Other participants arrived significantly late, causing a major delay (about 2 hours). By the time we reached our destination, many shops were closed, ruining the sightseeing experience. The return home was also quite late, which was particularly tough for those with children.
4. Poor Balance Between Cost and Service
I booked this tour because it was cheaper compared to other bus tours, but even at a low price, such poor management is unsatisfactory. Unfortunately, this is a tour I cannot recommend.

集合場所や行程変更の案内がなく、私たちは誤った場所で待機することに。その後、正しい集合場所に向かいましたが、結局バスが元々私たちがいた場所を通過する形に。遅れてしまうことをお電話した際に説明があれば無駄に移動する必要はなかったのに、雪が降り足元の悪い中、小さな子どもを連れて混雑した道を急ぐ羽目となり、とても大変でした。
3. 他の参加者の遅刻による影響
他の参加者が大幅に遅れて到着したため、予定より大幅に遅延。(約2時間遅れ)目的地に着いた頃には閉まっている店も多く、せっかくの観光が台無しに。帰宅時間もかなり遅くなり、特に子連れには厳しい状況でした。
4. コストとサービスのバランスが悪い
他のバスツアーと比較して料金が安かったため予約しましたが、安いとはいえ、ここまでお粗末な運営では満足できません。残念ながら、参加をおすすめできないツアーでした。
改善を期待したいですが、今のままでは再利用は考えられません。

Thanks to the nice judgment of the guide and the driver, we were able to fully enjoy all three locations safely, considering the snow forecast and road conditions during the middle of the three-day weekend. The guide provided explanations in Japanese, English, and Chinese, which made it easy to understand. It was my first time in Hida Takayama and Shirakawa-go. We had 2 hours of free time in Hida Takayama and 2 hours in Shirakawa-go. The time in Takayama was just right, but 2 hours in Shirakawa-go was not enough. This was because the walking path to the viewpoint I wanted to visit was closed due to snow, so the only option was the shuttle bus, which had a long line of about an hour to board. In the end, it was certain that I wouldn't make it back in time for the bus departure, so I reluctantly gave up (tears). Since the shuttle bus only came every 20 minutes, I think anyone wanting to go to the viewpoint during this season needs at least 3 hours of free time... Other than that, I was very satisfied! I was also able to buy the water pudding. About 90% of the tour participants were foreigners, but there were no particular issues.

The plan was to visit Shirakawa-go, but due to a severe cold wave, the news had been advising against visiting Shirakawa-go and announcing road closures for 2-3 days prior to the tour. Despite this, when I confirmed whether the tour would proceed, I received a response that the tour would take place on the day. Since cancellations on the day before do not qualify for a refund, I participated, but in the end, we could only go to Gujo Hachiman. About 80% of the participants were foreigners. There were few Japanese participants, and it was very disappointing given my expectations.
After going to Gujo Hachiman, we were told we would go to an outlet as an option, but I couldn't help but think that this was part of the original plan. In the end, we had to return to Nagoya Station right away. I find it unacceptable that the tour was conducted knowing in advance that we couldn't go, and I inquired about it, but I didn't even receive a response, so I will no longer use this site.

I applied with my Canadian boyfriend. On the day I participated, there were no other Japanese people, and the guide was in Chinese and English. He was also satisfied and able to understand the content! The guide was fluent in Japanese as well and communicated with us in Japanese during the tour.
I don't think it's possible to explore so efficiently on your own, especially in winter, so I was very satisfied! The time allocation was very sufficient, and in Gujo Hachiman, we walked to scenic spots with the guide, while in Hida Takayama and Shirakawa-go, we had the freedom to wander around.

Since I participated alone this time, I was honestly a bit anxious, but once I joined, there were no problems at all. I had plenty of time to explore the destinations, and most importantly, I was able to visit all the places I wanted to go, which was fantastic. I got to see the Couples' Rocks, and after visiting the Futami Okitama Shrine, we continued to the Outer Shrine and Inner Shrine.
Before visiting the Inner Shrine, I enjoyed a lunch of Ise udon and hand-formed sushi, which was included in the tour. We were able to eat right at the designated place, and afterward, we could explore at our own pace, allowing us to spend meaningful time at Okage Yokocho.
The tour guide was very polite and kind, making for a fun trip. Thank you very much!

During our trip to Nagoya as a couple, we spontaneously decided to visit Hida Takayama and Shirakawa-go. To our surprise, once we got past the highway, it was like entering a snowy country (laughs). We were amazed by the many inbound travelers, and we enjoyed conversations with them while savoring delicious food. The gohei mochi, skewered dumplings, Hida beef, and amazake were all so tasty! The people we met were kind, and our guide provided thorough explanations with a great smile.

This time, I stayed overnight in Nagoya for a live event and was wondering where to go the next day. I had always wanted to visit the snowy Shirakawa-go, so when I searched, I found this bus tour. I was a bit worried since it was available in Chinese, English, and Japanese (I wonder how many Japanese people were there?), but the guide talked non-stop and provided various explanations, including popular shops and recommended meals. The meeting and departure times were strictly followed, and the tour ended without any issues. Some people reclined their bus seats or brushed off the snow that had accumulated on their coats inside the bus, but it seemed there were no issues regarding that.

First of all, I was surprised by the number of inbound tourists. 😳 Also, there were quite a few customers coughing, which was a bit concerning. Other than that, they recommended great places to visit, and the free time provided was ample, allowing me to fully enjoy my experience. As described in my previous experiences, it felt like an overseas tour with only two groups of Japanese people. We departed as scheduled despite the heavy snow warning around Shirakawa-go. The tour guide's explanations were given in Chinese, English, Korean, and finally Japanese, but compared to the lengthy explanations in Chinese, the time allocated for Japanese was quite short. Initially, we were supposed to start with sightseeing in Takayama, but due to the heavy snow, we changed our plans to start from Shirakawa-go. As we traveled on the highway, the snowfall increased, and the bus continued through the heavy snow as warned. However, after exiting at Shirakawa-go IC, we encountered traffic jams, and the bus struggled to move forward. Ultimately, we had to get off before reaching the parking lot and walked to Shirakawa-go. The gassho-zukuri roofs that came into view amidst the falling snow clearly demonstrated the measures taken against heavy snowfall. We couldn't reach the observation deck due to the snow, but we were able to circle around Shirakawa-go and feel its history. The bus headed towards Takayama, but again, we were stuck in traffic and made little progress. We arrived in Takayama just before 4 PM, but places like Takayama Jinya were already closed, so we could only view the townscape. The bus then headed to Nagoya, arriving at 7:30 PM. Although there was traffic, we didn't experience significant delays. According to the tour guide, other companies' tours were unable to leave Shirakawa-go, so we were all quite lucky. Despite the traffic, the heavy snow in Shirakawa-go was definitely worth seeing.
これまでの体験談のとおり、日本人が２組だけのまるで海外ツアーのような状況でした。白川郷周辺は大雪警報の中予定通り出発しました。車内での添乗員さんの説明は、中国語、英語、韓国語、最後に日本語の順でしたが、中国語の説明時間の長さと比較すると、日本語での説明の時間はかなり短いものでした。予定では高山観光からでしたが、大雪の影響で白川郷からに変更になり、高速道路を走行しているうちに積雪量が多くなり、警報通りの大雪の中バスは進んでいきましたが、白川郷ICを降りてから渋滞で、ばすはなかなか前に進みません。結局駐車場の手前で降車して歩いて白川郷へ。雪が降りしきる中で見えてきた合掌作りの屋根は、大雪対策のためあることがよくわかる光景でした。大雪のため展望台までは行きませんでしたが、白川郷を１周して歴史を感じることができました。バスは高山へと向かいますが、またもや渋滞で進みません。高山に着いたのは16時前で、高山陣屋敷などは閉館で街並みを見るにとどまりました。バスは名古屋に向かい、19時30分に到着しました。渋滞がありましたが、それほど遅れることなく、添乗員さんの話では、他の会社のツアーでは、白川郷から出られていないところもあり、みなさんラッキーでしたということでした。渋滞はありましたが、大雪の白川郷は、見る価値がありました。

I was really looking forward to my first visit to Shirakawa-go!
Due to the heavy snowfall leading up to the end of the year, our tour guide and driver suggested that we visit other attractions before heading to Shirakawa-go to avoid the expected crowds.
There were many tourists, and by the time we left Shirakawa-go, the road on the opposite side was heavily congested. Thanks to the quick thinking of both of them, we were able to enjoy our time in Shirakawa-go to the fullest. Thank you very much!
The snowy scenery of Shirakawa-go was absolutely beautiful, so next time, I would love to see the different landscapes of Shirakawa-go in spring or summer and autumn!

We gathered at Nagoya Station in the morning, took attendance, and boarded the bus. Since there were mostly foreign tourists, the guide spoke multiple languages. There were moments when the tour was delayed due to weather, but I was very impressed that the schedule was adjusted and we arrived as planned.
This was my first trip to Gifu Prefecture, and there was a lot I didn't know. I appreciated how the bus tour staff provided advice to each person at various locations. What stood out particularly was how the tour guide shared insights while speaking with us. Even with free time, it was very reassuring to have guidance for our explorations.
Lastly, it was amazing that the tour guide could speak Chinese, English, and Japanese.

- It was my first time in Takayama and Shirakawa-go, and I thoroughly enjoyed not only the scenery but also food tasting, sightseeing, and souvenir hunting.

I made a reservation because I wanted to see Shirakawa-go covered in snow. This year, it had been warm for a while, so I was worried about whether there would be snow, but my worries were unfounded. When I arrived, it was snowing so heavily that I could barely see in front of me. Snow boots are a must during snowy weather. The bridge leading to Shirakawa-go from the parking lot was frozen. When the sun peeked out, it was as beautiful as I had imagined, so I definitely think everyone should see the snowy scenery and Shirakawa-go at least once! In Takayama, I had enough time to see the morning market, eat Hida beef, and do some shopping. If you want to explore more thoroughly, I think you would need a bit more time.

However, the lunch in a completely atmosphere-less venue, the crowded shrine visit, and the streets reminiscent of Takeshita Street could have benefited from prior advice regarding the level of congestion or tips for those who wish to spend time quietly, even before the event.
