Didn’t expect that It was so fun smelt ice fishing at the frozen lake for the family. V Punctual pick up & drop off. V Friendly & helpful throughout the fishing even though the weather was v cold ! Tent & chairs are already prepared in advance. Deep fried fish & hot soup are really delicious. Highly recommended for anyone going to Abashiri Hokkaido during winter season.

Jim-san & Masahiko-san gave my mom and a memorable smelt Fishing experience! They kindly fetched us at an agreed time, took great care of our wellbeing and safety throughout the day. Thought us with patience, helping us to set up the fishing line and guiding us with smelt fishing technique. They made sure my mom caught some smelt too to complete her experience. Jam-San & Masahiko-san are very caring guides. Jim-san & Masahiko-san are very well equipped!We were very surprise with the different tools used during our smelt Fishing tour!

We will definitely look for them the next time we visit sapporo! Thank you!

We participated as a couple! We enjoyed fishing for about 1 to 2 hours at the fishing spot, but I didn't catch anything... it was quite difficult. It went by in a flash as we got to see some rare fish that the captain caught. After returning to the port, we had the fish we caught prepared for us in about 30 minutes. All of it was fried fish, but I would have been happy if we could have had some sashimi as well.

夫婦で参加しました！釣りのポイントで1,2時間釣りを楽しみますが、私は釣れず…なかなか難しいですね。
船長さんが釣った珍しい魚を見せてもらったりしながら、あっという間でした。
港に戻ってから30分ほどで釣った魚を調理してもらえます。
全部魚の唐揚げだったのですが、刺身も食べられたら嬉しかったなと思いました。

Everyone had a great time!! Both the guys made it very easy and extremely enjoyable. Was definitely a highlight of the trip for everyone and will 100% consider doing again next time we come. Thanks a lot Giro!!

Junjiro and Jin were our tour guides. They were very friendly and they set everything up for you! Prompt pick up, and they drop you off too. They also drive you to a small but great mom and pop restaurant where they tempura fry the wakasagi fish that you catch. Highly recommended!!!

The guide was somewhat casual.
For a group of young men, that might be just fine.
But for couples or families with children... that's honestly my impression.
The fish caught are mainly those you can see while snorkeling.
The spot is around Manzamo.
It's neither good nor bad, so I give it three stars.

若い男グループならあの程度でいーのかも。
カップルや子供連れなら。。。って言うのが正直な感想。
魚はシュノーケルで見れるような魚がメインで釣れます。
ポイントは万座毛あたり。
可もなく不可もなくで星3つです。

Due to global warming, when I went, the usual spots still had thin ice, so we headed to a different location. The weather wasn't bad, and I tried my best, but I didn't catch anything >_<. I had imagined a more fruitful experience, but since it's nature, there's nothing to be done. After lunch, we decided to give it another try. At that time, a female college student among the participants spoke to a local fisherman who was heading home, and he said, "It's a day when you won't catch anything, so there are fewer fish." I thought that if there were few local fishermen, it might be tough for amateurs, but that person kindly shared some wakasagi with us. Although it was relying on others, I ended up being able to eat wakasagi for lunch. The set meal at the cafeteria was also delicious and reasonably priced. During the second attempt after lunch, we managed to catch one fish each. The results weren't great, but it was fun.

温暖化のせいか行った時は、いつものポイントは未だ氷が薄いので別のポイントへ
天候も悪く無く、頑張ってみたのですが当たりなし >_<
もっと入れ食いをイメージしていたのに、自然なので仕様がない。
昼食後に再チャレンジをする事に
その時、他の参加者の女子大生が、帰る地元の釣り人に話しかけたら「今日は釣れない日だから少ない」と言っていたので、地元の釣り人が少ないのでは素人はダメかと思っていたら、その人からおすそ分けで、ワカサギをゲット。
他力本願ですがお昼にワカサギを食べれる事になりました。食堂の定食も美味しくてリーズナブルです。
食後の再チャレンジで何とか1人一匹づつ釣れました。
成果はイマイチでしたが楽しかったです。

We didn't go too far to the fishing spot, so we didn't catch much, but we were able to cook the fish we caught as fried fish and sashimi, and we could also order additional meals, which made us satisfied.

釣り場はあまり遠くまで行きませんので、多くは釣れませんでしたが、釣った魚を唐揚げや
刺身に調理して食べることができ、追加で食事もオーダーできるので満足できました。

The children enjoy it very much. The staffs are very friendly and kind. This is really the great experience to my family. Thank you.

Went fishing today (March 7, 2016) and had so much fun. Got to drill our own hole, instructions on how to fish and sat in a nice tent. Also gave us handwarmers. Best of all, we went to a restaurant to have it prepared tempura style as an appetizer and ordered lunch...so delicious!

The guides were very attentive and patient. Spent our last day here with lasting memories and wanting to return again. Arigato Jin and Hiro (?)

Even the Japanese local people is taking this tour. The tour guide is so helpful & can speak English.

We went in mid-February. Although it was snowing, in the tent it was warm so we could focus on the fishing.
First we made a hole in the ice, set up chairs and then started fishing like they told us, and we caught fish! It was kind cool being on the ice like that too.
In the kitchen area they will make tempura out of the smelt you catch for free, and we also had lunch their as the lunch sets were tasty and reasonably priced.

It was my first experience on the ice, and I was really excited. The smelt I caught was made into tempura for free at the dining area, and I had lunch there; it was a reasonably priced and delicious set meal.

Right near the fishing spot, there are clean restrooms and wash areas in a beautiful commercial facility, and you can buy souvenirs and food, so there's no need for women to worry.

I highly recommend trying it out, especially since it's a limited-time experience!

２月中旬に行ってきました。ちょっと吹雪いていましたが、テントの中は暖かく釣りに集中できました。
まずは氷に穴を開けて、イスを設置し、教えてもらったとおりに底の方で誘いをかけると釣れます！微妙な当たりが超楽しいです。
氷の上での初めて体験でテンションあがりました。
釣ったワカサギはお食事処で無料で天ぷらにしてくれました、昼食はそちらでいただきましたが、リーズナブルで美味な定食でした。

釣り場のすぐ近くには綺麗な商業施設のお手洗いと洗面所があり、お土産や食べ物も買えますので女性のかたも心配ありません。
ぜひ、この時期限定なので楽しんでみてはいかがでしょうか。
