My trip to Nara, especially visiting the areas of Hōryū-ji and Tōshōdai-ji, was best experienced through a bus tour. I considered taking the train and walking, or even renting a car, but I might have just reached my destinations without fully enjoying the journey. I believe this would have been especially true for middle-aged and older travelers. I'm grateful for the wonderful tour that was organized for us.

You mentioned that I could return it to the bus information center by lunchtime, which really touched me with your thoughtfulness. I participated with a friend. Since I can't drive, there was some time lost in visiting both the Dinosaur Museum and the Hieizan Jinja Shrine, but it was great to have a guided tour where I didn't have to worry about transfer times. I learned about the highlights of the Dinosaur Museum, and through the guide's stories and picture book, I was able to discover the history of the Shakudani stone and Fukui, which I hadn't known from guidebooks. It was a very smooth tour of both locations, and I was very satisfied. Thank you very much.

I couldn't find the meeting place in front of Kintetsu Nara Station, so I asked at the tourist information center. It was on the first floor of a building with a red brick-style exterior. After crossing the pedestrian crossing from the tourist information center, it was almost directly in front of me.
After checking in, there was an explanation of the course outline and time allocation, which helped me feel more at ease. I was also grateful that I could change from the mackerel sushi wrapped in persimmon leaves.

It was a tour where I truly felt that Nara Kotsu is a company that offers warm hospitality. From the beginning of the tour, the staff who waved goodbye as we boarded the bus were lovely. The voice of the guide explaining everything was so warm. I think it's not good to visit places like Hōryū-ji and Chūgū-ji without understanding anything. A guided tour is the best. The bus driver and the guide were both very kind and gentle, making for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and answered questions accurately. The driver was always very safety-conscious and, while modest, showed a wonderful and kind personality. I'm really glad I booked this. It's quite difficult to visit so many temples in one day on your own.

First, we headed to Eiheiji while listening to the fun stories from our bus guide after leaving Fukui Station. It was an easy transfer to a microbus from the parking lot in the temple town to the entrance of Eiheiji.
Inside Eiheiji, we were free to explore at our own pace, which was great. I took my time looking for the ceiling paintings that the bus guide had pointed out.
This was my second visit to Eiheiji, but thanks to the bus guide's explanations, I was able to experience it from a different perspective than my first visit, which was wonderful.
Next, we went to Ichijodani. While it's possible to take a local bus, there aren't many services, and the area that recreates the streets of Ichijodani and the museum are quite far apart, so it was convenient to travel by tour bus.
I think this tour is enjoyable not only for first-time visitors to Fukui but also for those returning after a long time.

永平寺への参拝は2度目でしたが、バスガイドさんの説明のおかげで初めての時とは違った観点で参拝することができてよかったです。
次は一乗谷へ。路線バスで行くこともできますがあまり本数も多くなく、一乗谷の街並みを再現したエリアと博物館も離れているためツアーバスで移動できて楽でした。
はじめて福井を訪れる人だけでなく、久しぶりに訪れる人にとっても楽しめるツアーだと思います。

The dinosaur museum was very crowded during the summer vacation and the long three-day weekend, but as expected with tourist buses, we were able to enter smoothly. We also had plenty of time to explore, which was satisfying. Although it was disappointing that Hiraizumi Temple was rainy, I thought I would like to visit the moss temple again for its atmosphere. During the Obon holiday, my spouse and I participated in a half-day tour, visiting the Dinosaur Museum and Hakusan Heisenji. Normally, we would have to drive ourselves and arrange tickets, but with the tour, we were taken directly to the locations, eliminating that hassle! Especially at the Dinosaur Museum, it was quite crowded that day, but we were able to enter smoothly through a separate entrance for groups, avoiding the long lines.

I went on my first trip to Fukui with my high school student. Since we didn't plan to rent a car and wanted to visit Hakusan Shrine, we were able to get around efficiently. There was no need to reserve tickets, and we could enter right away in the morning without waiting. I arrived at Kochi Station just before 3 PM and had booked a "Sakamoto Ryoma" tour from 3 PM for three hours. Since I arrived a little before 3 PM, I first saw the mechanical clock at Harimaya Bridge, then went to Katsurahama to see the Ryoma statue, and afterward visited the Sakamoto Ryoma Memorial Museum. I wish I could have spent a little more time there, but the museum closed exactly at 5 PM, so I had to rush a bit. After that, I visited the birthplace of Ryoma and the Ryoma Birthplace Memorial Museum while also seeing statues of Chosokabe Motochika and Yamauchi Kazutoyo, reflecting on Ryoma's childhood.
