A tour for just one Japanese person. 日本人1人だけのツアー

On the morning of the day, I was directed to a different bus departure location than the meeting point during check-in, and I waited there alone, but the bus was nowhere to be found. I spotted the bus number a little further ahead, but the bus had already started moving. I dashed to catch up, knocked on the door, and managed to get the driver to open it so I could slip onto the bus.
I can't help but feel traumatized wondering why they didn't come to pick me up at the designated location if I wasn't there. Since I was the only Japanese person, it made me sad to think that my absence might have been more convenient for them. The guide spoke only in Chinese, so I felt completely out of place as a Japanese person. This was the first time I realized that this tour was prepared for foreigners.
However, I did receive the minimum necessary information in Japanese regarding the meeting time. I visited all the scheduled places while getting drenched in the pouring rain, but it was a tour that left a bad aftertaste.
当日の朝、受付の時に集合場所とは違うバスの発車場所を案内され、1人でそこで待っていましたが、バスは見当たらず、少し先の場所でバスのナンバーを見つけたのですが、もうバスは動き出していました。猛ダッシュで追いかけてドアを叩いて運転手さんに開けて貰ってなんとかバスに滑り込みました。
何故私が居なかったら案内の場所まで迎えに来てくれなかったのかと、トラウマです。
日本人は私1人だから、いない方が好都合だったのかもと悲しくなりました。
ガイドは始終中国語だったので、日本人は完全にアウェイな存在でした。
これは外国人向けに用意されたツアーという事を初めて理解しました。
ですが、集合時間などの最低限の日本語の案内はして貰いました。
土砂降りの雨の中、ずぶ濡れになりながら全ての予定場所は周りましたが、
後味の悪いツアーでした。
日本人の方は、サブ言語に日本語が記載されていたとしても、これは外国人向けのツアーである事を承知の上で申し込まれた方がよろしいかと思います。

The day before, I came to Hakata from the Kanto region for a concert. Since I was there, I wanted to do some sightseeing! I considered taking the train to Yufuin and Beppu Onsen, but it would take a long time and the transfers were complicated. I found this tour and decided right away. I was also able to visit Dazaifu Tenmangu, which I hadn't planned on. Once I arrived at the location, I had almost complete freedom until the meeting time, so it was relaxing.

On April 22, I participated with my mother. Everyone else was foreign tourists. The meeting place was right in front of the station, which was easy to find. Unfortunately, it was forecasted to rain all day, so we started with a bit of disappointment, but our guide explained everything carefully in two languages just for the two of us.

It's not very large, but it's a magnificent castle with beautiful balance between the moat, stone walls, and the castle itself. The facilities inside are modern, and the exhibits from different eras are easy to understand with models using dolls, making it feel like a fun theme park where you can enjoy a gaming-like experience.
[THE OUTLETS KITAKYUSHU]
The facility is clean and spacious. There are fashion brands for shopping and an arcade, so I think people of all generations can enjoy it. We had a nice lunch while shopping.
[Kawachi Wisteria Garden]
It was my first time seeing wisteria flowers. This year, it seems the blooming is a bit late, and it was said to be about 70% in bloom. Kawachi Wisteria covers a vast area of about 3,000 tsubo, with several trees aged 150 years creating domes and trellises. The tunnels, measuring 80m and 110m long, are adorned with 22 varieties of wisteria flowers in shades of light purple, white, and pink, captivating visitors with their colorful gradient. The fragrance wafting through the garden is soothing, allowing you to fully enjoy the wisteria.
The wisteria trellis spans about 1,000 tsubo, with Noda Nagafuji spreading across the area, leaving viewers in awe. It was great to see many other flowers as well, such as azaleas and large ball flowers. I can only imagine how amazing it would be when in full bloom. I definitely want to visit again.

あいにく、一日雨の予報で少し残念な気持ちでのスタートでしたが、ガイドさんは私達2人の為に2カ国語で丁寧に説明してくれました。

それほど規模は大きくはないのですが、堀、石垣、お城のバランスがキレイな立派なお城です。中の施設は近代的で時代ごとの展示も人形を使った模型で見やすく、ゲームの様な体験が出来るように楽しめるテーマパークのようで楽しい時間をすごせました。
[THE OUTLETSKITAKYUSHU ］
施設はキレイで広い。ファッションブランドで買い物、ゲームセンターもあり、いろんな世代の人が楽しめると思います。
楽しくショッピングしながら、ランチタイムをとりました。
［河内藤園］
初の藤の花。今年は開花が少し遅れているらしく、７分咲きとの事でした。河内藤は約3,000坪の広大な敷地に、樹齢150年になるいくつもの木がドームや藤棚を作りだして、長さが８０m、110mのトンネルは、22種類の藤の花が咲き薄紫や白、ピンクなどカラフルな花で彩られたグラデーションで見る人々を魅了します。園内に漂う香りにも癒やされ、全身で藤を楽しむことができます。
藤棚は約１０００坪の広さがあり、野田長藤が一面に広がり見る者を感動させます。
藤の花の他にもつつじや大手毬といろんな花もたくさん見れて良かったです。
満開なら、更にすごいだろうなと思います。是非また来園したいと思いました。
Comfortable shoes are recommended since you'll be walking a lot. I think you'll enjoy it even more if you research the history of the castle in advance.

A day trip that can be reached by bus from Hakata Station in about 3 hours.
I highly recommend it because you can visit places that are not easily accessible with a knowledgeable guide.

The guide from Shusan was very enjoyable and spoke Japanese well. Although most of the group was from China, they were well-mannered, arrived on time for departure, and the bus was quiet, just like a Japanese tour. However, since the points of interest are only on the bus, I think it would be better to know this in advance to enhance your experience. Meals are not provided at the rest stop, so I recommend buying food and bringing it with you.

I think you can enjoy this even if you participate alone, thanks to the thoughtful support from guide Mr. Yuu and driver Mr. Abe. It's great that we can cover a lot efficiently. There isn't time for lunch, but you can buy light snacks like hot dogs at the destination.

Since it was a tour for foreigners, I had some anxiety. We were the only two Japanese people. However, our guide, Shu, was very considerate from the time we gathered. Throughout the tour, he was always cheerful and provided an enjoyable experience. He guided us in both Chinese and Japanese, and it was clear that he was always attentive to the participants. The weather wasn't great, but thanks to Shu, it turned out to be a fun day.

It was a tour with many international participants, but I was able to enjoy it without any particular inconveniences. I'm glad I participated since these were places I wouldn't have been able to visit on my own. The air conditioning in the bus was blowing from the back, and it was a bit cold.

This time, I participated in a bus tour at my grandmother's request. It was rainy in the morning, but we thoroughly enjoyed Dazaifu Tenmangu, Yufuin, and Kamado Jigoku! We also got to eat a lot of delicious food ❤️ The ropeway depends on the weather, but I think other places can be enjoyed even if it rains! The driver, our guide Mr. Chong, and the locals were all very kind and wonderful people, making it a very satisfying trip for my chatty grandmother. The weather was great, and the course was good. Especially, our guide, Ryu, was wonderful; he was fluent and knowledgeable in Chinese, English, and Japanese. I was the only Japanese participant, but he explained everything diligently in all three languages at the same ratio. I think he might be a graduate student studying abroad, but he was very considerate towards me, the oldest participant, and I am grateful for that.

The guide prioritized Chinese, followed by English, and even though there were four Japanese guests, the information provided to us felt minimal, making us feel somewhat neglected in terms of service. The tour itself was guided by a kind person who provided explanations in simple Japanese for the Japanese participants. Although it was mostly a Chinese-language guide, the Chinese and Taiwanese tourists also kept to the schedule, allowing us to return quickly.

It wasn't too crowded, and it was easy to move around. The guide was very kind and attentive, looking after all the participants. Since we were in the mountains, the weather changed frequently, which was challenging, but the main attraction, Takachiho Gorge, had beautiful weather, and we were able to see stunning scenery. The bus seats were a bit cramped, which made my legs tired, but other than that, I have no complaints.

The weather was great on the day of our visit, and it was perfect for sightseeing without any troubles. In particular, the view from the mountaintop of the ropeway, overlooking Oita city and Beppu Bay, with the mountains of Oita visible in a 360-degree panorama, was breathtaking. We saved both time and money by using public transportation to travel from Hakata to Takachiho, and we were very satisfied with the explanations provided by our tour guide, Chou, who is trilingual in Japanese, Chinese, and English!
Additionally, after visiting Takachiho Gorge, the shuttle service with a large van to the bus was very helpful!
Although there was some traffic congestion on the expressway both going and returning, thanks to the driver's safe driving, we were able to complete the tour safely, even though we were about an hour late on the way back!

As many reviews have mentioned, this is a tour aimed at foreigners. This time, there were 36 Chinese participants, 4 Japanese, and 3 Koreans. However, the guide was wonderful and explained everything in detail in each country's language. So, I felt that even if there was only one Japanese participant, they could join with peace of mind.
It was great to efficiently visit famous spots by bus. Although it was a bus tour, we walked over 10,000 steps, so comfortable clothing and shoes are essential.
On the way back, we also received steamed buns as souvenirs. Thank you very much.

I was able to visit the places I wanted to in a very efficient manner. In Yufuin, there was over two hours of free time, and although it was at my own expense, I enjoyed visiting hot springs and tasting local sake. I was the only Japanese person in the group, with about 80% being from China, but the guide was wonderful, providing guidance in Japanese, Chinese, and English. The driver was also very kind, helping with my luggage. I really appreciated all the help!

It was drizzling during the gathering, but by the time we arrived in Takachiho, the rain had stopped and we were blessed with good weather. We did a lot of walking, visiting places like Takachiho Gorge and shrines, so it was a good decision to wear walking shoes. The lunch was delicious as well. There were few Japanese participants, but it was an enjoyable bus tour.

Lunch was scheduled in Yufuin, but most of the restaurants were closed. I wonder if it wasn't possible to check in advance that some places are closed on Wednesdays depending on the region? I had a hard time finding an open restaurant. Also, while the tour guide did communicate the meeting time, it was a bit difficult to understand, so I thought it would have been helpful if they could have displayed it on a placard inside the bus.

I intended to send this from the Shinkansen, but since we kept going through tunnels and I couldn't send it properly, I'll keep it simple. Since it's inbound tourism, there are a lot of Chinese people, including driver guides. For me, it's just about communicating the meeting time in Japanese. An ideal situation would be an optional tour on a large sightseeing bus with many Japanese people.
An unexpected discovery was the famous "Ichiran" tonkotsu ramen, but it was disappointing that I couldn't add pepper. According to the staff, they want you to enjoy the flavor of Ichiran as it is and see the message at the bottom of the bowl, "This drop is the greatest joy." However, I ended up leaving some soup because I was concerned about the salt content.
Finally, I visited a place like a roadside station called "Ito Saisai," where I intended to take a break but unexpectedly ended up buying things like pressed flower keychains. (laughs)

At 8:20 AM, we gathered in front of Lawson at the Oriental Hotel Fukuoka. Multiple tour companies set the same meeting time and location. There seemed to be a lot of Koreans, but with over 100 tour participants, it was hard to identify the guide for my tour; however, EasyGo! was the landmark. There were also several guides from EasyGo! with different destinations. It was a tour that visited seven highlights in Itoshima in one day, guided by a person who was both the guide and the driver. According to the guide, Chinese tourists tend to visit Tokyo and Kyoto, and fewer come to Fukuoka. It seems that participants were mainly from Taiwan and Hong Kong. Since it was expected that there would be a line to eat ramen at Ichiran on the weekend, we swapped the visit to Akiya's Daimon and Sakurai Shrine. It would have been difficult to visit seven tourist spots in one day on my own, so I was glad to join this tour. On the way back to Hakata Station, we got caught in a bit of traffic, so we disbanded in front of the station a little after 5 PM.

I was attracted to a day trip tour to Yufuin and Beppu within my limited travel schedule, so I decided to participate. I saw on the web and in reviews that it was a tour aimed at overseas visitors, which made me a bit anxious, but as many others mentioned, the guide was truly wonderful, and I was able to enjoy myself and feel at ease. When I participated, there were four people in our group, plus two Japanese participants, and the rest were mostly from China and Taiwan. Even though it was a weekday, it was a popular tour with nearly all the seats on the large bus filled.
The guidance was provided in Japanese, Chinese, and English, and since our seats were close to the guide, they engaged with us and were very attentive and cheerful. Unfortunately, the day we participated was rainy, so the view from the ropeway was almost nonexistent, but it was a well-packed tour that I enjoyed.
