I arrived just in time for departure and was a bit anxious, but thanks to our guide who was fluent in Japanese, there were no troubles and I had a great time. My husband is 55 and I am 49. We participated in a tour with Beltora for the first time, hoping to create a memory from our trip to Kyushu. Before signing up, I read some reviews and saw that many participants were from abroad, which made me worry about whether we would be okay joining. However, our Chinese guide was kind and made an effort to speak in Japanese, which made our experience very enjoyable. (Most of the tour was in Chinese, with occasional English and Japanese.)

Out of 37 participants, there were only 4 Japanese people, and several others joined alone. Thanks to visiting several top power spots in Kumamoto and Miyazaki, we didn't get caught in the heavy rain during our trip. The omikuji (fortune slip) we received at Dazaifu Tenmangu the next day was a great blessing. I feel like things are gradually improving for us.

We were able to relax surrounded by the great nature of Aso and Takachiho Gorge. Depending on the destination, there are well-maintained but quite steep mountain paths to climb. It was still a bit early for cherry blossoms, but the rapeseed flowers along the way were beautifully in bloom. I would like to sign up again if I find another good course.

I participated in this tour because an Australian child staying with us wanted to visit Miyazaki. It was during the Lunar New Year holiday, and the bus was almost full. I was told by the guide that most of the customers were from Chinese-speaking regions, so the main language for the tour would be Chinese.

Having lived in China for two years, even though I couldn't understand everything the guide said in Chinese, the sounds were nostalgic, and I really enjoyed it.

The tour consisted mainly of people from China besides us. The bus guide primarily spoke in Chinese, but communicated the meeting times and locations in Japanese. When the bus guide was speaking, I used a translation app to translate the Chinese and follow along. I was a bit anxious because of reviews mentioning a lot of foreign participants, but the bus guide was very nice and helpful.
The restrooms at Daikanbo and Kurokawa Onsen parking areas are not very clean, so I recommend using the restrooms at Kumamoto Castle or inside the ryokan.

I wanted to visit the filming location at Kamino Iro Mi Kumanoza Shrine and was looking for a tour, but there were none available. I found a comment about a tour for foreigners, and the driver was also a foreigner, with only one Japanese person in the group. I was worried that if I got lost while wanting to explore the walking paths at Takachiho Gorge, I might not be able to return. However, I felt more anxious about renting a car, so I decided to take the bus instead. I saved a photo of the bus number and its features (this time it was blue, which made it easy to identify). I made sure to confirm the meeting time every time and participated alone. The driver was Japanese, and the guide spoke three languages, which was a relief. During lunch, I met someone from my hometown who had their trip postponed due to snow the day before, and we agreed that we should travel while we are still able to move!

Although the lunch provided on the tour often differed from the photos, I was surprised to find that it even included alcohol for such a reasonable price. There were some areas of the walking path at Takachiho Gorge under construction due to the typhoon, and I mistakenly thought we could ride the shuttle bus multiple times. My companion and I ended up getting on a different tour bus. I felt that it would have been better if the guide had explained, "We will meet here at this time to take the shuttle bus back to the bus area." Additionally, there was a woman listening to music without headphones. There were two instances of people not adhering to the meeting time, and when it was time to board the bus, they didn’t apologize, which felt quite natural to them. I think it would be better to firmly communicate at the beginning that "In Japan, if you are late for the meeting time, you will be left behind!" ツアーの昼食では写真と違うこと多いものの、お酒まであってこの料金で良いの？と思う程でした。
高千穂峡の遊歩道が台風の影響で工事中の箇所あり、シャトルバスは何度も乗れるかと勘違いして違うツアーのバスに2人で乗ってしまったので、ガイドさんと歩き解散する場所で「ここに何時何分に集合してシャトルバスに乗ってバスの所まで送って貰う」と説明が良いと感じました。あと音楽をイヤホンなしで聞いてる女性.2回集合時間を守らない方がいて、バス乗る時に謝りの言葉なく当然という感じだったので「日本では集合時間に遅れたら置いて行く！」と初めにきつく伝えるべきかなと思います。遊歩道の工事完了後にまた行きたいと思います。

Since it's a day trip to Takachiho, there’s no wasted time, and we don’t stop at souvenir shops, which allows us to fully enjoy the local experience. There were three Japanese people, including myself and a friend. Most of the participants were from Taiwan, and Chinese was the main language spoken, but important points and simple explanations were provided in Japanese for the three of us. The driver also engaged with us during breaks, which was reassuring. The foreign participants were very quiet, and it seemed that everyone had signed up individually, which was polite. It was a strange experience to have a guide speaking Chinese in Japan. The meals were good, and there were no people drinking alcohol, which helped keep us on schedule. Since it’s quite a walking tour, wearing comfortable sneakers is advisable. I would love to participate again. Thank you to the guide and driver on January 17th.

I wanted to visit Takachiho Gorge and the surrounding shrines, but I was considering how inconvenient transportation would be without a car. Then I found this tour, which had a great schedule and content, so I decided to join.

Although it was an inbound tour, the guide was knowledgeable about Japanese language and history, and was very friendly. I participated alone, but I was able to chat along the way and really enjoyed the tour.

For lunch, we ate at a charming restaurant with a thatched roof, serving a variety of beautiful and delicious dishes, which left me very satisfied!

Takachiho Gorge had a stunning contrast between the deep green water and the waterfalls. I had seen many photos, but the power and grandeur that can only be experienced on-site was truly moving.

インバウンド向けのツアーではありましたが、ガイドさんも日本語や歴史に精通していてとても気さくな方で、1人で参加しましたが道中お話させて頂いて楽しくツアーを回る事ができて楽しかったです。

ランチも茅葺き屋根の建物がある雰囲気のあるご飯屋さんで、品数が多く見栄えのする美味しいご飯で大満足でした！

高千穂峡は深い深緑の水の色合いと滝のコントラストが見事で、写真では散々見ましたが現地でないと体感出来ない迫力や壮大さがあって大感動。

最後の天岩戸神社は本当に行きたかった所で、とても空気のキレイな清浄な場所で伺って祈るだけで心が現れる様でした！

とても楽しかったので、同じコースでもう一回参加したいくらいです。楽しく感動的な思い出を有難うございました！

Instead of a sightseeing bus, we departed in three HiAce vans from a taxi company. We were informed that there would be no restroom breaks for the first two hours, so we headed towards Kumamoto Castle.
