You can efficiently visit the tourist attractions in Abashiri by bus. Personally, I was most looking forward to the Aurora boat tour, but since there were no drift ice and the view from the boat wasn't great, I wished I could have skipped it and spent more time at the Abashiri Prison. However, since it was a tour, it couldn't be helped. The lunch buffet was delicious and satisfying! The guide and the driver were also very kind. I want to come back next year for a revenge tour of the drift ice.

バスで網走の観光名所を効率的に観光できます。
個人的に1番楽しみにしていたおーろら号は流氷がなく、船からの景色が良いわけではなかったので、スキップして網走監獄をもう少しゆっくり見たかったと思いましたが、ツアーなので仕方ないですね。
昼食のバイキングは美味しくて満足でした！ガイドさん、運転手さんも親切でした。
また来年流氷のリベンジをしたいです。

Guide came to pick us right on time. We had four in our party. We throughly enjoyed all the places of interest on the schedule especially the drift ice cruise which was the highlight since guide said that the day before some cruises were canceled due to no drift ice. Great deal for the bucks on this tour. Definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to see lots in a day without planning your transportation to all the places especially in this wintery weather

I arrived before the meeting time, but no one was there, which made me a bit anxious. On the day of the experience, the waves were high, so we couldn't go into the cave and ended up doing a tour instead. Some people might find the foreign-style jokes funny, but I felt they were a bit loud, and because of the jokes, it was hard for me to understand the Japanese.

集合時間前に着いたが、誰もいなくてちょっと不安だった。体験した日は波が高くて洞窟にはいけないということで周遊になった。外国人特有のギャグが、面白いと思う人もいるかもしれないけれど、私にとっては少しうるさいと感じたし、ギャグのせいで日本語が聞き取りづらかった。

I was lucky to be able to see the drift ice. It felt great to watch as we moved over the ice from the ship.

The Abashiri Prison was also very interesting, but there wasn't enough time.

It's a great tour packed with sightseeing spots in Abashiri. However, it felt a bit rushed because it was too packed, so I think it would have been even better if there had been an additional 1 to 2 hours with the same content.

運が良く、流氷を見ることができました。
船の上から氷の上を進んでいくのは見ていて気持ちよかったです。

網走監獄もとても面白かった分、時間が足りなかったです。

網走の観光スポットをぎゅっと詰め込んだ良いツアーです。
ただ、詰め込みすぎて終始急ぎ足感があったので同じ内容であと1〜2時間プラスであったらなおよかったと思いました。

I went to the Sea of Okhotsk to see the drift ice, but there was none. It seems that the period when the drift ice comes has become shorter. The temperature was also high, and there was no snow, so it was just a sightseeing boat.

流氷を見にオホーツクの海に行きましたが流氷は無しでした。流氷が来る期間が短く成っているようです。気温も高く雪も無く、ただの遊覧船でした。

I prepared for complete cold protection, but the weather was really nice and warm (even though the highest temperature was 1 degree). Unfortunately, I couldn't see the drift ice ⤵️. However, thanks to the good weather, the Shiretoko mountain range looked incredibly beautiful, so that was nice in its own way.

For lunch, I didn't have high expectations for the buffet, but it turned out to be quite delicious. As expected from Hokkaido, the seafood and potatoes were perfect👌. The tour guide and the driver were also very polite, and if I have the opportunity again, I would like to sign up for other tours as well.

完全防寒をして挑んだものの、凄くいい天気で暖かいのもあり(それでも最高気温1度とか)、流氷は見れずでした⤵️でも天気が良かったおかげで、知床連山が凄く綺麗に見え、それはそれで良かったのかなぁと。
昼はバイキングで期待してませんでしたが、なかなか美味しかったです。さすが北海道、海鮮とじゃがいもバッチリでした👌
添乗員さんや運転手さんも丁寧で、また機会がありましたら、他のツアーでも申し込んでみたいと思います。

Actually, the evening before this tour, I went on a private ice floe ship called the Aurora to see the drifting ice, so I honestly debated whether to cancel this tour. However, to conclude, I'm glad I went; it was incredibly fun. Even without considering the fact that I got to see the drifting ice and the good weather, this was the best bus tour I've ever been on.

First of all, the bus driver and the tour guide were both very nice people. I had a great time throughout the trip. The lunch was a buffet at a local izakaya, with a wide variety of homemade dishes that tasted great, and I was delighted to have gelato from a famous local shop. The timing was just right for us, allowing us to buy snacks and souvenirs along the way. I'm really glad I didn't cancel. We felt it was worth more than the price we paid. I am very satisfied.

実はこのツアーの前日の夕方、個人で流氷船オーロラ号に乗って流氷を見てしまったので、このツアーは正直キャンセルするか悩みました。しかし、結論から言うと行って良かった、最高に楽しかったです。流氷が見れたこと、お天気に恵まれたことを差し引いても、今までのバスツアーで一番です。まずバスの運転手さん、バスガイドさんのお人柄がとても良かったです。終始楽しく過ごせました。ランチは地元居酒屋さんでのバイキングで、品数も多く手作りで味も良く、地元有名店のジェラートもあり嬉しかったです。時間配分も私たちにはちょうど良く、途中でおやつを買ったりお土産を買ったりも出来ました。キャンセルしないで本当に良かった。私たちにはお値段以上の価値が感じられました。大満足です。

The kindness of the guide and the driver, no one was late for the meeting time, and we were able to see the drift ice (which had just returned the day before). We efficiently toured the winter tourist spots and even enjoyed a delicious lunch. It was the best trip to Abashiri! Thank you to the guide who taught us so many things and to the driver who calmly handled various troubles. I will promote the people around Abashiri tourism!

ガイドさんと運転手さんの人の良さ、誰一人集合時間に遅れず、流氷も見れて(前日戻ってきた)効率よく真冬の観光地を周ることができ美味しい昼食まで食べられて最高な網走旅行でした！たくさんのことを教えてくれたガイドさん、いろんなトラブルに冷静に対応していた運転手、ありがとう！網走観光周囲の人たちに推し活します。

I was very satisfied as all the highlights of Abashiri were included, and I could also see the drifting ice. It’s quite challenging to book a ticket for the Aurora individually, but that was included as well. The guide explained everything clearly and efficiently.

個人でオーロラ号のチケット取るの大変ですが、それも入っています。
ガイドさんも、わかりやすく、要領良く説明してくれました。

We boarded the Aurora icebreaker, visited the drift ice center, toured the Abashiri Prison, enjoyed a delicious lunch, took the drift ice train, and visited Cape Notoro. It was a very packed itinerary, and we were able to travel efficiently and safely. Both the guide and the driver were very pleasant.

流氷砕氷船オーロラ号乗船と流氷センター見学、網走監獄見学、美味しい昼食、流氷列車、能取岬。とっても盛りだくさんで、効率良く安心安全に旅することができました。ガイドさんも運転手さんも、すごく感じが良かったです。

The guide and driver were lucky people, and we were able to see the drift ice perfectly without any crowds at all the sightseeing spots. I thoroughly enjoyed the best bus tour. The lunch was also wonderful.

As for the participation fee, I think it's cheap since it includes all the costs. It's hard to make a reservation for the Aurora, so I believe that alone is worth it.

ガイドさん、ドライバーさんが運をもっている人で、流氷がバッチリ見られて、全ての見学場所においても混雑なしで見学をすることができました。
最高のバスツアーを満喫できました。
ランチの内容も素晴らしかったです。

参加費ですが、すべての料金込みなので安いと思います。
オーロラ号は個人ではなかなか予約がとれませんので、それだけでも価値はあると思います。

素晴らしい日、広大な雪の吹きだまりでたっぷりの時間。穏やかで安定した船。

Great day, plenty of time in the vast snow drifts. Calm steady ship.

The captain was a foreigner and had a great sense of humor. He stopped the boat several times along the way to explain things while sharing jokes. I think this level of eloquence is something that Japanese captains might not be able to achieve.

Not only did we go to see the Blue Cave, but he also shared many recommended scenic spots with us. He handed us some crackers to feed the seagulls and entertained us with thrilling zigzag driving.

We had a 7-month-old baby with us, and the captain frequently turned around to check on us, which was very considerate. The baby stayed inside the boat until he got used to it, but on the way back, he seemed fine, so we went outside to feel the wind. The Blue Cave was, of course, incredibly beautiful!

外国人の船長さんで喋りの面白い方でした。途中何度も船を停めてジョークを交えて説明してくれます。
この饒舌さは日本人の船長さんではなかなか出せないんじゃないかと思います。
青の洞窟を観に行くという目的だけじゃなくおすすめの景色をたくさん教えてくれました。
カンパンを手渡してくれてカモメに餌やりをさせてくれたり、スリルある蛇行運転で楽しませてくれました。
0歳7ヶ月の赤ちゃんも一緒に同情しましたが船長さんが何度も振り返って気遣ってくれました。
赤ちゃんが慣れるまでは船内にいましたが帰りは大丈夫そうだったので外に出て風を感じました。
青の洞窟はもちろんとっても綺麗でした！

As expected from the famous captain, not only was the talk entertaining, but there was also music playing, which made it an exhilarating experience! The driving was excellent; we didn't bounce on the water, and he skillfully avoided the waves from other boats, providing a thrilling experience that was far from an ordinary cruise. My whole family was very satisfied! Unfortunately, we couldn't enter the Blue Cave due to falling rocks, but we had many more fun experiences than we expected. I want to go again! 名物船長と謳っているだけに、トークもさることながら音楽もかかって、ワクワクが止まりませんでした！そして、運転が上手で、水の上を跳ねないし他の船の波も上手に避けてくれるので、スピード感あって、ありきたりのクルーズ体験とは段違いの非日常体験ができました⭐︎家族全員大満足です！青の洞窟は残念ながら落石の関係で中に入れませんでしたが、それよりもっとたくさんの楽しい体験ができました。また行きたいです！ありがとうございました♪

It was a hot season in August, but I had a refreshing cruising experience!

I personally hold a small boat license and often have the opportunity to drive, but the captain's driving was professional. He skillfully avoided waves and minimized the impact on the boat, so I don't think there was anyone among the passengers who experienced seasickness.

The interior of the boat was kept clean, and the seats were equipped with cushions to absorb shock, which gave the impression that they were considerate of the passengers! You can enjoy a leisurely time inside the boat, or there are seats outside to enjoy the view as well!

I was looking forward to the famous foreign captain, and he turned out to be a very amusing person, providing guidance filled with jokes, making for a laughter-filled cruise! There are boats that guide you to the Blue Cave in the Otaru area, but I think this one was the most entertaining!

As of August 2025, due to concerns about falling rocks inside the Blue Cave, it seems they do not enter the cave itself, but they get as close as possible within a safe range, allowing us to see the beautiful cave!

It was a memorable and wonderful experience! I learned from the captain that on cloudy days, the cave can look more beautiful or sometimes not at all, so I would like to board again when I visit Otaru! Thank you!

8月の暑いシーズンでしたが、爽快なクルージング体験ができました！

私自身、小型船舶免許を保有しており運転する機会が多いですが船長の運転はプロでした、波を避け船への衝撃を最小限に抑えるような運転をしており同乗しているお客さんの中に船酔いしている様子の方は1人もいなかったと思います。

船内も綺麗にされており、座席にも衝撃を和らげる目的のクッションも備えられており乗船される方のことを考えられている印象でした！
船内でゆっくり楽しむもよし、船外にもイスがあるので外で楽しむもよしです！

船長は外国人の有名船長ということで楽しみにしておりましたが、大変愉快な方で終始ジョークを交えた案内をしており笑いの絶えないクルージングでした！
小樽エリア各地に青の洞窟を案内している船がありますが面白さは1番かと思います！

2025.8月現在は青の洞窟内の落石への配慮から洞窟の中までは入らないとのことでしたが、安全な範囲の中でできるだけ青の洞窟に近づいてくれる為、綺麗な洞窟は見ることができました！

記憶に残る素晴らしい体験ができました！
船長さんからの豆知識で、曇っている日の方が綺麗に見えたりとか見えなかったりとからしいので、また小樽に行くときには乗船したいと思っています！

I went out to sea on a motorboat for the first time. The waves were getting high, and we thought we might have to cancel the next trip due to the whitecaps. The boat bravely crossed the waves, repeatedly going up and down in a way that was even more exhilarating than a roller coaster, making sharp turns. Along the way, we received explanations about the islands and coastlines as we headed to the Blue Cave. Inside the cave, there was only our boat, allowing us to leisurely observe the seabed.

初めてモーターボートで海に出ました。
波が高くなってきたので次の回はキャンセルだなーと言っていた位の白波でした。
果敢にボートは波を越え、ジェットコースターよりも小刻みにUP.DOWNを繰り返し急回旋します。
途中の島や海岸の解説もしながら青の洞窟へ。
洞窟の中には私達のボートしか居らずゆっくりと海底を見学できました。

I was worried because there was a possibility that we couldn't go in due to high waves, but I decided to participate. As expected, the waves were high, and we couldn't go in, so it turned into a cruising experience.

直前で波が高いから入れない可能性もあるとのことで、悩みましたが参加しました。
やはり波は高く、入れずで、クルージングに変わりました。

The experience was enjoyable. The captain was also a great storyteller and very entertaining. Although we couldn't enter the Blue Cave, we got very close to it, and the view was absolutely stunning!

↓ Here are some suggestions for improvement:

1. The life jackets smelled bad.
2. The interior of the boat, including the cushions, didn't feel clean (haven't they been washed?).
3. The music was too loud.
4. The windows were dirty, making it hard to see the scenery.

The heat added to it, and I got seasick right after boarding. Other families also seemed to struggle, with mothers and children looking very uncomfortable.

Ninety minutes is quite long, so we should have taken some measures before boarding.

I apologize for the harsh feedback. I believe many Japanese people prefer a clean environment. I'm sure that if improvements are made, you'll see a significant increase in repeat customers. Good luck!

①ライフジャケットがくさい
②船内もクッションなど清潔な感じがしなかった（洗ってない？）
③音楽が音が大きすぎる
④窓の汚れなのか景色が見にくい

暑さも重なって乗ってすぐに船酔いをしてしまいました。
他のファミリーの方達もお母さんとお子さんがすごく辛そうでした。

90分はとても長いので、
何か対策をして乗るべきでした。


厳しい評価ごめんなさい。
日本人は清潔な環境を好む方が多いと思います。
きっと改善したらリピーターさんがすごく増えると思います。

It was a slightly chilly day, but we set sail as planned. However, a tsunami warning was issued, and I thought it might be canceled. Following the captain's instructions that it was safer offshore, we continued the cruise. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to witness the scene of a whale spouting and diving. The captain's various explanations were eye-opening, making for a fun two and a half hours!

少し肌寒い日でしたが、予定通り出港、しかし直ぐに津波警報が出され、中止かと思いましたが、沖合いの方が安全との船長指示に従い、クルーズ続行ですね～幸いにクジラの潮吹きから潜水のシーンが目撃出来て、ラッキーでした～
船長の色んな説明が目から鱗、楽しい2時間半でした～

A foreign captain who speaks Japanese played music and set sail! It felt like being in a theme park, and then as a service, the ship tilted dramatically to the left and right while speeding forward, making it feel like we were on an attraction. We couldn't enter the Blue Cave due to the risk of falling rocks, but we had a great time cruising.

日本語喋れる外人の船長が音楽かけて出航！テーマパークにいるみたいと思ったら、サービス？で船体を左右に大きく傾けながら高速前進して完全にアドラクションに乗ってる気分に。
落石の危険があるとのことで青の洞窟に入れませんでしたが楽しいクルージングできました。

It was foggy, and I had low expectations of seeing anything, but a pod of orcas appeared out of the mist. Thanks to the crew's skills, we got really close, about 3 meters away from the orcas! They seemed accustomed to humans and appeared to be observing us and playing, so I didn't feel any fear. We also encountered a sperm whale, and I was deeply moved by its grandeur. It was a different kind of excitement compared to videos. I heard that there are days when you might not see anything at all, but it seemed we were lucky to see so many orcas.

濃霧でしたが出航、こりゃ何も見られないかなと期待薄でしたが霧の中から鯱の群れが現れ、船員さんのテクニックによりすごく近くまで寄って下さり、3mくらいの距離てシャチを見られました！シャチの方も慣れているのか、人間を観察して遊んでいる感じで、恐怖心は感じませんでした。マッコウクジラにも出会えて、その雄大さに感動しきりでした。動画とかとは違う感動でした。全く出会え無い日も有るとの事でしたが、シャチがウジャウジャいる様子が見られ、ラッキーだったようです。

The wonderful captain really entertained us to the fullest. It was definitely the right choice to ask for this! The beautiful scenery became even more amazing with the captain's lively talk. Thank you very much.

The captain was a foreigner. At first, I was a bit anxious, but he spoke well and kept cracking dad jokes, making it as enjoyable as Jetstar. The Blue Cave was more beautiful and impressive than I expected!! On the way back, my son got sick, but the captain was very considerate, which made me feel very relieved. I highly recommend this. I participated hoping to see the drift ice, but it was disappointing that I couldn't due to unexpected weather conditions. However, I enjoyed the prison, jail, and the Drift Ice Museum. It was fun to freeze the towel at the Drift Ice Museum.

流氷目当てで参加しましたが、まさかの天候の事情で見ることできなかったのが残念でした。
ですが監獄、刑務所、流氷館は楽しめました。

Due to thick fog, we couldn't reach the Blue Grotto, but the boat cruise was thrilling and enjoyable. The captain's talk was entertaining and fun for all ages. It will be a great memory.

First, you go to the reception, and the payment has already been completed with a card, so there's no need to fill out any annoying address or phone number details. You just receive your ticket and can head straight to the port.

I have previously taken a ship from a certain company, but once you're out at sea, it's the same. However, the quality of the reception and the atmosphere here are better, so I've been using this service consistently.

I usually go to Rausu around June every year, and I've been able to encounter orcas each time.

まず、受付に行って、精算はすでにカード決済で終わっていて、面倒な住所・電話番号の記入もなし。チケットを受け取るのみで終了、すぐに港に向かえます。

過去に某G社の船にも乗ったのですが、海に出てしまえば同じですが、受付の対応の良さ、雰囲気がこちらの方がよく、ずっとこちらを利用しています。

毎年だいたい６月に羅臼に行くのですが、毎年シャチに出会えています。

来年もまた伺いますのでよろしくお願いいたします。

I didn't have high expectations, thinking I would be lucky to see orcas once or twice, but I was able to see so many orcas multiple times, and I was extremely satisfied. The captain maneuvered the boat to a great viewing position, and the guide informed us in advance about the points where the orcas would appear, allowing me to take many photos. I was truly moved!

１～２回見られればラッキーなのかなとあまり期待していませんでしたが、何と沢山のシャチを何度も見ることができて、大変満足でした。船頭さんも見やすい位置に船を操ってくれ、ガイドさんもシャチが出て来るポイントを事前に教えてくれたので、写真も沢山取ることができました。本当に感激でした！
