The clear kayak experience was amazing! I thought I might have to give up because of the strong winds at Lake Shikotsu, but surprisingly, they said, "You can do it!" We spent two hours on the Chitose River. There were various missions, and I might have enjoyed this more than the lake itself! The fun conversations with the guides and taking commemorative photos were great. I did have a little mishap getting out and ended up with one foot soaking wet, but that became a good memory! If you're going kayaking, I recommend Shikotsukamui!

The planned lakeside area became inaccessible due to a bear sighting two days prior, so we had to switch to a guided tour of the primeval forest. However, this turned out to be a very valuable experience. The guide's enjoyable explanations about the forest and wildlife, as well as the consideration shown towards my elderly mother, were greatly appreciated. Next time, I would like to join the lakeside course and enjoy the unique guidance from the guide while walking!

We boarded the boat with just the three of us on a girls' trip and our Nepali staff member, Tab-chan! Most of the time, Tab-chan was doing the paddling, but it was our job to shout. [Meeting] I was worried about being late for the 8:50 meeting time, so I called but couldn't get through. I arrived at the meeting place, the ski resort, feeling anxious. There were other participants waiting, but I couldn't find any staff, and we exchanged looks as if to confirm we were in the right place. Around 9:00, the staff arrived and kindly confirmed the participants and gave instructions for changing clothes. There might be a misunderstanding between the booking site, Veltra, and the Blue Marble staff, so I hope that can be improved.

[Preparation] We moved to the preparation area in our cars. There, we borrowed and put on life jackets, helmets, and shoes. We received a thorough lecture on how to use the paddles. We moved our cars to the finish point, then returned with the staff's vehicle to the starting point.

[Travel] We loaded the boat onto a wheeled cart and moved through the bushes for about five minutes. Along the way, there was an adventure where we had to grab a rope to descend a steep cliff, which delighted the kids while the dads stumbled. The starting point had a gentle river flow, and we practiced paddling and turning before starting the rafting.

[Fun] With low water levels, we floated down the river while enjoying the staff's fun talk. At one point, we charged into a waterfall with a hot spring, repeating it five times upon request. After that, we arrived at the dive point, where we jumped into the river from rocks about 2m and 10m high. Even the 2m jump was quite scary. We were allowed to jump as much as we wanted, and soon we reached the finish point. Once we finished, the staff set up a changing tent on the shore. After settling payments and purchasing photos, the process was complete. We finished before noon, so it was effectively about an hour of rafting. It was a lot of fun.

[Photos] I purchased a DVD of the photos taken by the photographer. After returning home and looking at them, while there were some interesting river landscapes, the camera and subjects were far away, so the expressions weren't clear. There was also a note about joining the boat, which was a bit disappointing.

【移動】ボートを車輪付きの台に乗せ、５分ほど藪の間を移動。途中、急な崖を張られたロープを掴んで降りるアドベンチャーもあり、子供は喜び、親父は転ぶ。スタート地点は川の流れが穏やかで、乗り込んでパドルの漕ぎ方や転回などを練習し、ラフティングスタート。
【遊ぶ】水量が少なく、穏やかに川を下りながら、スタッフさんの楽しいトークとともに進む。途中、温泉を被る滝に突っ込み、希望もあり５回繰り返す。その後、ダイブポイントに到着。２mと１０m位の岩の上から川ダイブ。２mでも結構怖かったです。好きなだけ跳ばせてもらい、程なくゴール地点。ゴールしたら、スタッフさんが岸辺に着替えテントを張ってくれました。精算と写真の購入などを終えて工程終了。正午より前に終わったので、実質１時間位のラフティングでした。とても楽しかったです。
【写真】カメラマンさんが撮った写真をＤＶＤに焼いてくれたものを販売してくれたので購入。帰宅後見てみると、川の地形などもあるのでしょうが、カメラと被写体が遠くて表情ははっきりしませんでした。ボートに同乗してくれるという書き込みもあったので、少し残念。
【その他】ベルトラ さんのサイトには集合場所と解散場所がスキー場とありますが、解散場所はゴール地点でした。集合時に説明してもらったので困ることは何もありませんでしたが、申し込む側としては、初めてで不安だらけなので、正しい情報を載せてほしいなぁと思いました。

Walking through the forest while listening to explanations was really interesting and I gained a lot of knowledge. The guide's explanations were entertaining, and I was able to see stunning ocean views, making it a fantastic trip.

I participated with my 8-year-old son. It was wonderful to connect with nature by jumping into the beautiful river. We also took a lot of photos, which made for great memories.

However, there were a couple of things that concerned me. The meeting point was hard to find, and when the time came, the person in charge did not show up, which made me a bit anxious. The dress code mentioned long sleeves and long pants, but in reality, shorts and swimsuits were also acceptable, and I would appreciate more accurate announcements regarding this.

One of the children on the tour got injured and seemed to struggle a bit when jumping into the river, crying a lot... I wondered about the safety measures in place.

This was my third time rafting, so I was familiar with it and had a great time, but I hope that for those coming from Honshu and beginners, the experience can be enjoyable as well. I would like to see a more customer-oriented approach and ensure complete safety, so that everyone feels they want to participate again. I am sharing this feedback because the staff were wonderful.

ツアーで一緒だった子供が怪我をしたり、川に飛び込んだ際に少し溺れたような感じになり大泣きしてしまつたり…安全面は大丈夫か？と思いました。
私はラフティング自体3回目で慣れていることもあり存分に楽しめたのですが、本州から来た方や初心者にも心から楽しんでいただけるよう、もっと顧客目線で、そして万全の安全性を確保し、誰もがまた参加したい、と思えるツアーになってほしいな…すてきな担当者様だったのであえてコメントさせていただきます。

In August, the Shiretoko Five Lakes may close depending on bear sightings, and I was about to give up after hearing that they hadn't opened even once since the beginning of the month. Just as I started walking on the elevated wooden path that remains open, they surprisingly opened at 9 AM! I was able to complete the Shiretoko Five Lakes walking trail loop! With the extensive knowledge of our guide, Umebayashi, I thoroughly enjoyed the Shiretoko Five Lakes for three hours. In the afternoon, we began a trek through the primeval forest called "Men's Tears," where we looked out over Shiretoko Cape from the edge of a cliff. It was a hike that you could never do alone, and I had a great time! At the end, Umebayashi quietly suggested we leave the area, and I wondered what he meant until I spotted a bear just a few meters away! We almost had an encounter, but thanks to Umebayashi's quick thinking, we avoided danger. He is an amazing guide, able to sense the presence of bears that we amateurs would never notice!

８月に入ると熊出現情報次第で閉鎖されてしまう知床五湖、８月に入ってから一度も開いてないとの報に諦めかけて、閉鎖されない高架木道を歩き始めたところに、まさかまさか朝９時から開放に！知床五湖遊歩道大ループを踏破できました！ガイドの梅林さんの豊富な知識に３時間、知床五湖を満喫できました。午後は、藪漕ぎから始まる“男の涙”原生林散策、崖っぷちから遥か知床岬を望んだり、決して個人では歩けないハイキング、楽しみました！最後には、梅林さんがそっとこの場を離れるようにというので何のことかと思ったら、わずか数m先に熊が！危うく遭遇するところでしたが、梅林さんの機転で危険回避。僕ら素人には全くわからない熊の気配を感じ取るなんて、梅林さんはスゴいガイドです！

It was raining on and off, but when we tried to go out to Lake Shikotsu, it started to rain quite heavily. We were able to observe river fish closely under the bridge. Although we ended up doing a tour on the river instead of the lake, my daughter seemed to enjoy catching shrimp. I hope we can experience the lake course next time.

We were a couple in our 70s and our accompanying son, making three of us in the canoe. I'm really glad we participated. Even though it was mid-summer, it was a comfortable 17 degrees. While paddling, we were shown various spots and got to see a white-tailed eagle and an Ezo deer. The Kushiro River flowed quietly and gently, providing a sense of healing. The guide was disappointed that we didn't see the red-crowned cranes while canoeing, but we spotted them twice near Tanchō Village and thoroughly enjoyed our main goal of exploring the Kushiro Wetlands.

四捨五入すれば70台の夫婦と付添の息子の3人カヌーでした。
いやー、参加してよかったです。真夏なのに17度、快適でした。漕ぎながら、スポットを教えてもらって、オジロワシ、エゾシカに会えました。
釧路川は静かに、緩やかに流れ、癒されました。
案内の人は残念がってくれましたが、カヌーでは会えなかったタンチョウは鶴居村付近で2度も見られ、今回の目的の釧路湿原を堪能しました。

The weather was favorable, and we could see the mountains clearly.
We took three hours to cover 3 km, so it was quite a slow pace.
Our guide, Mr. Umebayashi, was excellent.
He made it easy to understand the formation of the Shiretoko Five Lakes and shared interesting stories about the trees.
It was hot in the sunny spots, but when the wind blew, it was refreshing, and we enjoyed a nice forest bath.

3ｋｍを3時間ですので、かなりゆっくりペースです。

Thrilling Niseko Shiribetsu River Half-Day Summer Rafting Adventure

Although August is a poor time for rafting in Hokkaido as the water level is low and the it's so hot with extreme UV rays, the whole experience has been enjoyable and the guide, from Nepal, spoke great English and had great energy.

The whole activity can be enjoyed from young child to elderly as it's not very strenuous but is still alot of fun for beginner rafters involving alot of wetness and fun.

Recommends to bring a change of clothing when you get out of the water.

I did some research hoping to see the red-crowned cranes while canoeing in the Kushiro Wetlands, and I ended up on this website. It takes less than an hour to get there by rental car from Kushiro Airport. While many other plans start at 1 PM, this one allows you to start at 12 PM, so we could head to our accommodation in the evening without rushing.

It was a chilly day with many clouds, but they provided ponchos to keep us warm, and the canoes were spacious and stable with backrests, making it very comfortable for my 72-year-old mother. Since it was the first day of our 3-night, 4-day trip, I was a bit worried about my shoes getting wet and considered bringing a spare pair, but the canoes were clean despite the rain the day before, so that worry was unnecessary!

Since we had a private canoe rather than sharing with others, it was perfect and we didn’t have to worry about being considerate. They also encouraged us not to paddle too much and to take photos, allowing us to relax and enjoy the experience. Our guide, Mr. Ichinose, was a calm and experienced professional with over 20 years in the field and was very knowledgeable about the wildlife. He pointed out the white-tailed eagle calling nearby and helped us spot animals even from a distance. We were able to see many animals, including black kites, a mother and baby deer, and even the red-crowned cranes, which I thought we wouldn't see.

The Norokko train stops at a nearby station just after 2 PM, so we were able to catch it and return to the meeting point on time. At just 230 yen, it was a great experience.

The next day, we enjoyed the blooming lavender in Furano, the beautiful flower carpets in Biei, the stunning blue pond on a clear day, and Otaru after more than 20 years. Although we had a satisfying daily itinerary, my mother said the canoeing in the Kushiro Wetlands was the most enjoyable part.

If anyone is looking to experience canoeing, I confidently recommend this option.

釧路湿原でカヌーをしながら丹頂鶴が見れたら最高だなーと色々調べてこちらのHPに辿り着きました。
釧路空港からレンタカーで1時間かからず行けます。他の所のプランでは13時スタートが多い中、こちらは12時からスタートできるので夕方には泊まる宿に焦ることなく行けました。

雲の多い肌寒い日だったけど、寒さをしのげるようにポンチョを用意してくれたり、背もたれ付きのカヌーで広々として安定しているので72歳の母でも全然楽に過ごせました。
3泊4日の旅の初日だったので靴が濡れてしまうのではないか？予備を持っていこうかと少し心配していましたが、前日の雨にもかかわらずキレイなカヌーなのでその心配はご無用でした！

他の方と一緒に乗るのではなく貸し切りになるので気を使うこともなく最高です。
またあまり漕がなくても大丈夫ですよ、写真とか撮ってくださいと言ってくださり、ゆったりした気分で過ごせます。
担当してくださった一戸さんは20年以上のベテランの落ち着いた方で本当に動物にも詳しい方です。
オジロワシが鳴いてるから近くにいるよ！と発見してくださったり遠くにいても発見して教えてくれます。
その他にトンビ、親子の鹿、見れないだろうなーと諦めていた丹頂鶴など沢山の動物に会うことができました。
カヌーを降りた場所から近い駅に14時ちょっと過ぎにノロッコ号がとまるのでちょうど時間が合い乗ることが出来て集合場所に戻ることも出来ました。230円と安いしこれも良い体験になりました。

その次の日からは富良野の満開ラベンダー、美瑛の見事なお花のじゅうたん、晴れた日の見事
な真っ青になった青い池、20年以上振りの小樽など満足な毎日を過ごせたけど母いわく釧路湿原のカヌーが1番楽しかったとしみじみと言ってました。

カヌー体験したい方がいたら、私はこちらを選ぶことを自信をもってオススメします。

This tour was great! Although in Japanese, our guide (Mr. Umebayashi) was able to explain many of the things in English. During the active season for bear, you cannot see most of the lakes without going with a guide. The tour was at a nice, enjoyable pace and filled with much information that we would not have learned otherwise. On top of that, Mr. Umebayashi drove us back to our hotel at the conclusion of the hotel. 100% recommend!

I have been to Jozankei in winter. Summer is nice too. The greenery is beautiful. The river is lovely. The Jozankei View Hotel is great. The guide was very kind. I recommend it. Since I was alone, I was able to switch to canoeing.

We participated with a total of five people, from elementary school children to my grandmother. Everyone was very satisfied. The water was cold, but it wasn't a problem with the dry suits. Jumping in from the high point was refreshing. I would like to participate again in early spring when the water level is high.

It was an amazing kayaking experience guide by our guide, Risa. The weather was a little gloomy but it created a beautiful mountain view shrouded by the mist. We also kayak along the River Chitose that was quiet and calm, allowing us to be close to nature. The highlight was when we spotted 4 huge blue carps in the river swimming under our kayaks. Most importantly, the tour was perfect because of our guide, Risa. Risa was friendly, relaxed, and was adept at striking good, pleasant conversations. My first trip to Eastern Hokkaido with my mother. To fulfill our wish of "wanting to ride a canoe in the Kushiro Wetlands," we deliberately planned an individual trip instead of a group tour with a travel agency.

The conditions for the canoe tour were twofold: "to be able to ride the canoe for as long as possible on a basic tour course" and "to have pick-up available near Kushiro Station since we wouldn't be driving." Based on these conditions, we applied to Healing Canoe Kushiro.

On the day of the tour, it was an unusually hot day for Hokkaido, but it was sunny with light winds, which I think were good conditions for canoeing. The refreshing sound of the water, the breeze crossing the surface, and the various bird calls from afar and nearby were all very pleasant.

I felt so relaxed and healed that I wanted to just drift along... Our guide, Mr. Ichinose, a local from Kushiro, was very attentive and fun, allowing us to feel safe and comfortable. I definitely want to visit again during this beautiful fresh green season and experience the different expressions of other seasons.

母と訪れる初めての道東。
「釧路湿原でカヌーに乗りたい！」という希望を叶えるため、旅行会社の団体旅行ではなく敢えて個人旅行を計画しました。
カヌーツアーの条件は「ベーシックなツアーコースで出来るだけ長時間カヌーに乗っていられること」と「車を運転しないので釧路駅近辺の送迎が可能なこと」の2点。
この条件にかなって今回ヒーリングカヌー釧路さんに申し込みました。
当日は北海道にはあり得ないほどの暑い日でしたが晴れて風も弱く、カヌーには良い条件だったと思います。涼やかな水の音、水面を渡ってくる風、遠くから近くから聞こえる様々な鳥の声など、とても心地良かったです。
このまま漂っていたい…と思うくらいリラックスして癒されました。
釧路っ子のガイド、一戸さんのアテンドはとても丁寧で楽しく、安心してお任せすることができました。
ぜひまた新緑の美しいこの時期、そして表情を変えた他の季節も訪れたいと思います。
