The weather was favorable, and we could see the mountains clearly.
We took three hours to cover 3 km, so it was quite a slow pace.
Our guide, Mr. Umebayashi, was excellent.
He made it easy to understand the formation of the Shiretoko Five Lakes and shared interesting stories about the trees.
It was hot in the sunny spots, but when the wind blew, it was refreshing, and we enjoyed a nice forest bath.

Although August is a poor time for rafting in Hokkaido as the water level is low and the it's so hot with extreme UV rays, the whole experience has been enjoyable and the guide, from Nepal, spoke great English and had great energy.

The whole activity can be enjoyed from young child to elderly as it's not very strenuous but is still alot of fun for beginner rafters involving alot of wetness and fun.

Recommends to bring a change of clothing when you get out of the water.

I did some research hoping to see the red-crowned cranes while canoeing in the Kushiro Wetlands, and I ended up on this website. It takes less than an hour to get there by rental car from Kushiro Airport. While many other plans start at 1 PM, this one allows you to start at 12 PM, so we could head to our accommodation in the evening without rushing.

It was a chilly day with many clouds, but they provided ponchos to keep us warm, and the canoes were spacious and stable with backrests, making it very comfortable for my 72-year-old mother. Since it was the first day of our 3-night, 4-day trip, I was a bit worried about my shoes getting wet and considered bringing a spare pair, but the canoes were clean despite the rain the day before, so that worry was unnecessary!

Since we had a private canoe rather than sharing with others, it was perfect and we didn’t have to worry about being considerate. They also encouraged us not to paddle too much and to take photos, allowing us to relax and enjoy the experience. Our guide, Mr. Ichinose, was a calm and experienced professional with over 20 years in the field and was very knowledgeable about the wildlife. He pointed out the white-tailed eagle calling nearby and helped us spot animals even from a distance. We were able to see many animals, including black kites, a mother and baby deer, and even the red-crowned cranes, which I thought we wouldn't see.

The Norokko train stops at a nearby station just after 2 PM, so we were able to catch it and return to the meeting point on time. At just 230 yen, it was a great experience.

The next day, we enjoyed the blooming lavender in Furano, the beautiful flower carpets in Biei, the stunning blue pond on a clear day, and Otaru after more than 20 years. Although we had a satisfying daily itinerary, my mother said the canoeing in the Kushiro Wetlands was the most enjoyable part.

If anyone is looking to experience canoeing, I confidently recommend this option.

釧路湿原でカヌーをしながら丹頂鶴が見れたら最高だなーと色々調べてこちらのHPに辿り着きました。
釧路空港からレンタカーで1時間かからず行けます。他の所のプランでは13時スタートが多い中、こちらは12時からスタートできるので夕方には泊まる宿に焦ることなく行けました。

雲の多い肌寒い日だったけど、寒さをしのげるようにポンチョを用意してくれたり、背もたれ付きのカヌーで広々として安定しているので72歳の母でも全然楽に過ごせました。
3泊4日の旅の初日だったので靴が濡れてしまうのではないか？予備を持っていこうかと少し心配していましたが、前日の雨にもかかわらずキレイなカヌーなのでその心配はご無用でした！

他の方と一緒に乗るのではなく貸し切りになるので気を使うこともなく最高です。
またあまり漕がなくても大丈夫ですよ、写真とか撮ってくださいと言ってくださり、ゆったりした気分で過ごせます。
担当してくださった一戸さんは20年以上のベテランの落ち着いた方で本当に動物にも詳しい方です。
オジロワシが鳴いてるから近くにいるよ！と発見してくださったり遠くにいても発見して教えてくれます。
その他にトンビ、親子の鹿、見れないだろうなーと諦めていた丹頂鶴など沢山の動物に会うことができました。
カヌーを降りた場所から近い駅に14時ちょっと過ぎにノロッコ号がとまるのでちょうど時間が合い乗ることが出来て集合場所に戻ることも出来ました。230円と安いしこれも良い体験になりました。

その次の日からは富良野の満開ラベンダー、美瑛の見事なお花のじゅうたん、晴れた日の見事
な真っ青になった青い池、20年以上振りの小樽など満足な毎日を過ごせたけど母いわく釧路湿原のカヌーが1番楽しかったとしみじみと言ってました。

カヌー体験したい方がいたら、私はこちらを選ぶことを自信をもってオススメします。

長々と書きましたが楽しい時間をありがとうございました。

This tour was great! Although in Japanese, our guide (Mr. Umebayashi) was able to explain many of the things in English. During the active season for bear, you cannot see most of the lakes without going with a guide. The tour was at a nice, enjoyable pace and filled with much information that we would not have learned otherwise. On top of that, Mr. Umebayashi drove us back to our hotel at the conclusion of the hotel. 100% recommend!

It was an amazing kayaking experience guide by our guide, Risa. The weather was a little gloomy but it created a beautiful mountain view shrouded by the mist. We also kayak along the River Chitose that was quiet and calm, allowing us to be close to nature. The highlight was when we spotted 4 huge blue carps in the river swimming under our kayaks. My first trip to Eastern Hokkaido with my mother. To fulfill our wish of "wanting to ride a canoe in the Kushiro Wetlands," we deliberately planned an individual trip instead of a group tour with a travel agency.

The conditions for the canoe tour were twofold: "to be able to ride the canoe for as long as possible on a basic tour course" and "to have pick-up available near Kushiro Station since we wouldn't be driving." Based on these conditions, we applied to Healing Canoe Kushiro.

On the day of the tour, it was an unusually hot day for Hokkaido, but it was sunny with light winds, which I think were good conditions for canoeing. The refreshing sound of the water, the breeze crossing the surface, and the various bird calls from afar and nearby were all very pleasant.

I felt so relaxed and healed that I wanted to just drift along... Our guide, Mr. Ichinose, a local from Kushiro, was very attentive and fun, allowing us to feel safe and comfortable. I definitely want to visit again during this beautiful fresh green season and experience the different expressions of other seasons.

「釧路湿原でカヌーに乗りたい！」という希望を叶えるため、旅行会社の団体旅行ではなく敢えて個人旅行を計画しました。
カヌーツアーの条件は「ベーシックなツアーコースで出来るだけ長時間カヌーに乗っていられること」と「車を運転しないので釧路駅近辺の送迎が可能なこと」の2点。
この条件にかなって今回ヒーリングカヌー釧路さんに申し込みました。
当日は北海道にはあり得ないほどの暑い日でしたが晴れて風も弱く、カヌーには良い条件だったと思います。涼やかな水の音、水面を渡ってくる風、遠くから近くから聞こえる様々な鳥の声など、とても心地良かったです。
このまま漂っていたい…と思うくらいリラックスして癒されました。
釧路っ子のガイド、一戸さんのアテンドはとても丁寧で楽しく、安心してお任せすることができました。
ぜひまた新緑の美しいこの時期、そして表情を変えた他の季節も訪れたいと思います。

It was a beautiful sunny day, and we enjoyed a cherry blossom canoe experience with the Ezo Yamazakura in full bloom. We left the operation to Mr. Ichinose. It's also nice to paddle by yourself, as he will follow you. You can leisurely observe the untouched nature of the Kushiro Wetlands and the wildlife.

We love birds, and we were thrilled to encounter species like the Japanese crane, white-tailed eagle, and great spotted woodpecker.

If you come to Kushiro, I highly recommend participating in a canoe tour. There are so many attractions. I also plan to join a winter canoe tour next time. Thank you very much!

Before participating, I was worried about encountering brown bears, as they can be scary. During the morning tour, a brown bear appeared during the lecture, so the afternoon tour was moved up, and I was able to see a black woodpecker. There were also Ezo deer. I was concerned about whether the tour would proceed, but since the brown bear left, the tour went ahead, and we were able to see a mother and cub brown bear by the lakeshore after progressing to the second lake. Just before that, the crows started cawing, which was a sign. We turned back without seeing the first lake, but the tour went ahead, and it was fantastic.

He and his wife were very kind and supported us, who are complete beginners. We were able to see Steller's sea eagles, white-tailed eagles, deer, and red-crowned cranes, and we thoroughly enjoyed the winter nature. I definitely want to participate again next year. Thought us with patience, helping us to set up the fishing line and guiding us with smelt fishing technique. They made sure my mom caught some smelt too to complete her experience. Jam-San & Masahiko-san are very caring guides. Jim-san & Masahiko-san are very well equipped!We were very surprise with the different tools used during our smelt Fishing tour!

It was our first time in Kushiro as a couple. While Kyushu was experiencing consecutive days over 35 degrees Celsius, the temperature here was only 22 degrees. Additionally, the river made the temperature feel even cooler, making for a very pleasant tour. We were able to see many wild animals, including cranes, deer, and eagles. Our guide, Hiraiwa, was also very kind and attentive.

更に川は体感温度が下がってとても心地よいツアーでした。

As residents of a warm region where snow doesn't accumulate, I wanted to show my 11-year-old son a snowy landscape and let him play in the snow, so I planned a trip to Hokkaido. After doing some research, I found North Snow Land in Chitose and decided to participate this time.

The three of us were truly moved by the vast snowy scenery, and although we were eager to experience the activities, we spent an hour enjoying ourselves by lying in the snow and having snowball fights in the free area. That alone was enough for us as residents of a warm climate, but of course, we had a blast afterward.

We were impressed by the thrill of snow rafting, and the mini snowmobiles were fun too; my son enjoyed them. We couldn't do the tube sliding due to the low snow accumulation (which was an incredible amount of snow for us), but instead, we got to try the snow zip line, which was also thrilling and enjoyable.

It was truly fun, and I would recommend it to anyone I know planning a trip to Hokkaido.

　温暖で雪は積もらない県の住民なので、11歳の息子に一度は雪景色を見せてあげたい、雪でおもいっきり遊ばせてあげたいとの思いから北海道旅行を計画し、いろいろ調べてノーススノーランドイン千歳さんを見つけて今回参加させて頂きました。
　家族三人、本当に一面の雪景色に感動し、早くアクティビティを体験したらよいのにもかかわらず、一時間長、フリーエリアで雪に寝転がったり雪の掛け合いをしたりして楽しみました。
それだけで南国の住人には十分でしたが、もちろんそのあと、遊び放題で楽しみました。
　スノーラフティングの迫力に感動、ミニスノーモービルも面白く、息子も楽しんでました。
チューブ滑りは、積雪量が少ない(南国住人にはあり得ないくらいの雪の量でしたが)とのことでできませんでしたが、代わりにスノージップラインをさせて頂き、これも迫力があり面白かったです。

　本当に楽しかったので、北海道旅行に行く知人がいれば勧めたいです。

Since it's close to Chitose Airport, I used the time before my flight to visit. There wasn't much snow on the day, so we couldn't do tubing. I think it's a good idea to check the snow depth before going. I participated with my 10-year-old and 4-year-old, but if you have children under 6, they can only join horseback riding and snow rafting, which might be a bit lacking for just kids under 6. However, toddlers are free, so it still feels like a good deal. Overall, I think it's a cost-effective and worthwhile experience.

千歳空港から近いのでフライトまでの空き時間に利用させてもらいました。当日は雪が少なくチューブ滑りは出来ませんでした。なので積雪量のチェックはした方がよいかと思います。また、10歳と4歳の子と参加しましたが6歳以下だと乗馬とスノーラフティングしか参加できなかったので6歳以下のお子さんだけだとちょっと物足りないかも。ただ幼児は無料なのでそれでもお得感はありますが。基本的にはコスパが良いお得な物だと思います。

The rental wear was beautiful and reasonable. Both adults and children enjoyed snowmobiling and horseback riding in the snow. The shuttle bus driver to the station was kind and informed us of the nearest bus stop to the station, so we were able to catch the train. I would like to use this service again.

After the three-day weekend in October, I participated alone starting at 6 AM. I was picked up from my hotel in Kushiro city just after 5 AM and headed to Lake Tōro. It was just me and our guide, Mr. Ichinoto, as we quietly paddled through the Kushiro Wetlands. We encountered many wild animals, including deer, white-tailed eagles, falcons, cormorants, herons, and ducks. In the distance, we heard the calls of deer and cranes, creating an indescribable atmosphere. While listening to Mr. Ichinoto's stories, I enjoyed a leisurely canoe ride (leaving the paddling to him).

The view from the observation deck and walking along the wooden paths in the Kushiro Wetlands are nice, but entering the wetlands by canoe is the best experience. I heard that the winter Kushiro Wetlands are also beautiful, so I would like to participate again. Thank you very much.

ガイドの一戸さんと私しかいない静かな釧路湿原の中をカヌーで進んでいきました。シカ・オジロワシ・ハヤブサ・鵜・アオサギ・カモ。遠くにタンチョウのつがいなどたくさんの野生動物に出会いました。シカやタンチョウの声が遠くから響き、何とも言えない時間が流れていきました。一戸さんのお話を聞きながら、のんびり川下り(カヌーの操作は一戸さん任せ)を楽しみました。
　釧路湿原は展望台からの眺めや木道歩きもいいですが、カヌーで湿原の中へ入っていくのが一番です。冬の釧路湿原もいいと伺ったので、また参加したいと思います。ありがとうございました。
