The highlight is the Biei Shirahige Waterfall in the snow. With a relaxing tour guide and a group of quiet tourists on the bus, we can unwind and enjoy the snowy scenery during the ride. The guide is a young Japanese man, and we are fortunate to have him. He speaks English very well. The buffet lunch is average but sufficient. It's better to include the buffet lunch since there aren't many other options around.
美瑛白ひげの滝 in snow is our highlight. Relaxing tour guide with a group of quiet tourists in the bus, we can relax and enjoy the snow along the bus ride. The guide is a Japanese young man, we are lucky to have him. He speaks English very well. Buffet Lunch is average but adequate. Better to include buffet lunch as not much other choices around.
Try to get into a bus with the Japanese young man guide. The mix in the group would be better.

I participated alone, but I was able to visit many tourist spots in Sapporo by bus and had a great time. The guide was very polite and explained everything clearly, which deepened my understanding, including the views from the bus window.

I had a very meaningful day filled with places I wanted to visit around Sapporo. The lunch was plentiful and delicious, and the view of Lake Toya from the restaurant was also very beautiful.

I was able to enjoy Sapporo city even on a half-day tour. Since it was a morning tour on the day of my departure, I bought plenty of souvenirs at a low price from the outer market and had them shipped. I was able to negotiate a lower price at Kitano Gyoba No. 3.

I found a tour that included Asahiyama Zoo, Blue Pond, and Shirahige Falls, and I participated in it. The zoo is compact, but the exhibits were creatively arranged and enjoyable. The Blue Pond was bluer than I expected. Shirahige Falls was beautiful, even though we viewed it from a bridge a bit away. The Yubari melon was very sweet and delicious, and I ended up eating a lot. It was a pity that the flowers in Biei were finished and the weather wasn't perfectly clear, but it was a trip that satisfied both my eyes and my stomach.

The photo spot with the name of the place at the entrance gets very crowded. Since there's a similar setup inside, it's better to take photos there.
It depends on the crowd situation, but if you're on a tour and waiting in line for the event where you can walk through the tunnel, you might not make it in time for the meeting.

I want to say that I was satisfied with the tour as planned, but perhaps because there were so few participants, we were in a regular van instead of a large bus, which was disappointing.
The ride was quite uncomfortable, and it shook a lot during the long-distance travel, which made me tired.
The driver had no ill intentions, but I would have appreciated at least some explanation or reasoning. If it's the same next time and we don't have a bus, I won't participate.

When I arrived at the meeting place, most of the participants were foreign tourists, so I thought I might have mistakenly signed up for a tour for foreigners. However, the guide was very experienced and provided explanations in Japanese, English, and Chinese, which made the sightseeing smooth.
From Sapporo, we had to travel a bit to reach Noboribetsu Onsen and Lake Toya, but we were able to move efficiently by bus and see everything, which was very satisfying. The guide also helped by taking photos at the photo points, which was a great help.
集合場所に着いた時は参加者のほとんどが外国人観光客でしたので、外国人用ツアーに間違えて申し込んだのかと思いましたが、ガイドの方も手慣れたもので日本語の他に英語、中国語でも説明されていてスムーズに観光できました。

The bus tour guide shared the history of Sapporo, making the ride enjoyable. We also saw a lot of wild deer. When we arrived, the weather was nice, and the lake in front of us was beautiful. The sunset was late, and we entered while it was still bright, creating a very magical atmosphere reminiscent of the world of Frozen. The guide was considerate and pushed the meeting time to just before sunrise, but it was a bit disappointing that we could only see a little in complete darkness. I went to see the ski jump at Okurayama, but the lift was under maintenance, so I couldn't ride it. There weren't many other tourist spots, so I wish I could have experienced that. The outer market had a lot of shops, which surprised me. Since it was the last day, I opted for a half-day of sightseeing, but I think this kind of sightseeing can be nice too.

The tour only stops at two locations, but there is a guide on the famous spots available through headphones in English, Chinese, and Korean. Without having to check the bus schedule on my own, I was able to leisurely enjoy the sights from the ski jump to Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill. My partner and I are talking about how glad we are to have participated, surrounded by endless white snowfields and the Clark statue, as well as the dizzyingly high ski jump.

I was a bit scared to rent a car for a winter trip to Hokkaido with my aunt, so I decided to sign up for this tour. It was a great decision! Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, thinking it would just take us to tourist spots and that I would be surrounded by Chinese tourists. However, the atmosphere on the bus was nice, with 20% Taiwanese and 80% Japanese participants, and our tour guide, Mr. Onodera, was wonderful and very attentive, which made for a fun experience. The emotion I felt when I walked to Cape Kamoi and stood at the tip was incredible! It was a nice day with not much wind, but I imagined how difficult it must have been for people in the past to walk to such a point in bad weather and strong winds. It was a journey that made me reflect on the greatness of nature and the connection between humans and it.
I drove along the coastline and was captivated by the deep blue sea and the strange rock formations. Unfortunately, the sea urchin rice bowl was out of season, but I definitely want to try the sea urchin from Shakotan next time.

For the people of Hokkaido, it felt like spring had arrived, with temperatures and clear skies no different from those in the Kanto region, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
From the top of Mount Usu, I was moved by the grandeur of Showa Shinzan and Lake Toya, the miracles of the Earth, and the local efforts to coexist with active volcanoes.
Usually, the temperature is significantly lower when getting off the ropeway compared to the base of the mountain, but this time I didn't mind at all and was able to fully appreciate the scenery from the heart.
I sat next to someone of the opposite sex who was also traveling alone on the bus, and our conversation picked up along the way, making me feel the joy of travel once again.

When I arrived at the meeting place in the hotel lobby, there was an incredible crowd, and I had a hard time finding the tour guide. After speaking to four people, I finally managed to meet up, but I was registered as Malaysian. In my group, there were only three Japanese people, and we received instructions in English and Chinese before boarding the bus. While waiting for departure, a different Chinese tour guide offered to change my bus since there were Japanese people on it. However, the announcements on the bus were mostly in Chinese, with only a little in Japanese. I was satisfied with the destination.

I participated on February 17 from Osaka to see the penguin walk. The weather was favorable and the highway was smooth, so I was able to enjoy the park for a full three and a half hours. There was no wind, so it wasn't as cold as I had worried it would be, and I didn't need a hat or earmuffs. It was also good that I adjusted my timing, as I had no trouble finding a place for lunch. I enjoyed the break and shopping at the Sunagawa Service Area along the way. This was my second visit to the zoo. The last tour I participated in didn't have enough time because it stopped at other sightseeing spots, so this time I chose a tour with plenty of time. However, there was also a penguin walk, so in the end, we still didn't have enough time...

I think this covers all the sightseeing spots that can be visited on a day trip from Sapporo. The day I went was perfectly sunny, and I was able to see Mount Yotei beautifully from the bus, which is often obscured by clouds.

I was worried about the weather since it was winter in Hokkaido. In the morning, it was snowing, so Nakayama Pass was in a blizzard, and I couldn't see Lake Toya very well. Gradually, the weather improved, and Showa Shinzan and the bear ranch were beautiful. The final Shikotsu Lake Ice Festival was impressive. However, since the lights came on at 4:30 PM and I was heading back at 5 PM while it was still bright, I wished I could have stayed until it got a bit darker. But I was satisfied that they took me to places that are difficult to go to alone.

I was very satisfied that I could visit all the places I wanted to 🥰. The tour I participated in (in February) had a third of the participants from China, a third from Taiwan, and a third from Japan. I think it was good to efficiently visit many attractions in one day, with a reasonable amount of free time. However, there were several disappointing aspects.
⚪︎ While there was indeed a "multilingual" indication, over 99% of the announcements on the bus were in Chinese. On that day, two buses were operating, and the other one was in English. I would have understood if it were in English, but I couldn't understand anything in Chinese. I never expected that a tour booked in Japan would be conducted only in Chinese. The Japanese explanations were minimal at best. I believe English would have been better for Japanese participants. I think there should have been an option to choose in advance, or at least a notification that it would be in Chinese this time. The Chinese participants on the same bus had no issues at all. I did mention to the guide that I would like more explanations in Japanese, but I was told that most of the Chinese announcements were just safety instructions, though it didn't seem like that for two or three hours. I didn't press the issue further.
⚪︎ I saw several notices that the entrance fee for the Shikotsuko Ice Festival was separate, but I may have missed the information about the entrance fee for the bear ranch, which ended up being an additional expense for me.
⚪︎ During the tour, we were driving on the highway, and I noticed we were overtaking trucks and cars on the left at quite a speed in the snow. There was never any instruction to wear seatbelts. While I didn't feel in immediate danger, I was scared and made sure to buckle my seatbelt.

⚪︎ツアー内容に支笏湖氷濤祭りの入場料は別途との案内は何度かみましたが、熊牧場の入場料については見逃したのかも知れませんが、私にとってはプラスの出費になりました。
⚪︎ツアー中、高速道路を走りましたが、気がつくと左を走るトラックや乗用車をドンドン追い抜いていました。雪の中、かなりのスピードが出ていたと思います。一度もシートベルトをするよう指示はありませんでした。危険な思いをしたわけではありませんでしたが、こわくて自身はシートベルトを絞めていました。
友人から御社のツアーを推薦され参加を決めましたが、少し残念でした。

As a resident of Sapporo, driving in winter can be challenging, so when it comes to using public transportation, I have to transfer to a bus at Asahikawa Station, which is often crowded and requires a long wait, making it difficult to find a seat. That's why I decided to use this tour.
There are several tours to Asahiyama Zoo, but this one allows for a longer stay of over three hours, which lets you fully enjoy the zoo, unlike others that stop at various sightseeing spots and have shorter zoo visits. The comfortable bus took us right to the entrance of the zoo, making it easier than going on my own.
The guide shared interesting information about the area and Hokkaido during the trip, which was beneficial even for someone like me who lives in Hokkaido.
Regarding the penguin walk, since I visited during a busy weekend, it's important to secure a good spot early, or it can be hard to see. I managed to get a front-row spot just 15 minutes before it started. Also, using an umbrella can be a nuisance to others, so having a hat is a good idea in case it snows.

旭山動物園へ行くツアーは他にもいくつかありますが、動物園以外にも観光スポットに立ち寄るため動物園の滞在時間が短く、こちらのツアーは滞在時間が3時間以上あり、動物園を満喫することができました。設備の整ったバスで快適に動物園の門の前まで行くことができ、個人で行くより楽でした。
ガイドさんが道中、そこの土地についてや北海道について紹介してくれ、北海道に住んでいる私にとってもためになる内容でした。
ペンギンの散歩について
週末の混雑している時期に訪れたため、早めに場所取りをしないと見えにくい場所になってしまいます。15分前でぎりぎり前列を確保できました。また傘を使うと他の人の迷惑になってしまうので、帽子があると雪が降ったときなどにいいと思います。

I participated with determination despite the severe cold wave, but unexpectedly, the weather was favorable. I was able to enjoy the sunset over Lake Shikotsu and the Ice Festival before and after the lights were turned on. I also got to experience roasting marshmallows, which became a fun memory.
It was a tour that included a postcard gift, but the gift turned out to be a sample of Hi-Chew. I wonder if they forgot or if the postcards weren't popular? (laughs) The guide was a wonderful young lady, and I felt so confident in her recommendations that I ended up buying all the suggested souvenirs.
大寒波の中覚悟して参加しましたが予想外に天候に恵まれ、夕日の沈む支笏湖、ライトアップ前と後の氷とう祭りを楽しむことができました。人気のマシュマロ焼き体験もでき、楽しい思い出になりました。

It was a cold day with snow falling, but I was able to see a group of king penguins on their walk. I've been to the zoo several times, but this was the first time I got to see the penguins' walk, and it was so moving that it made me forget about the cold.
雪の降る寒い日でしたがキングペンギンの集団お散歩を観る事が出来ました。何度か動物園には来ていますが初めてペンギンのお散歩を見れて寒さも吹き飛ぶ位の感動でした。
