The view was great. But the process of showing my Veltra confirmation and trying to exchange it for the tickets was not. The person at the ticket counter was adamant that I should needed to show a QR code, when Veltra di... mored not send one. Veltra sends you a confirmation that you're supposed to show at the ticket office, and the ticket office "should know" to give you the tickets. This particular staff did not understand that and gave us a hard time.

I came here around 5ish in the evening - in Autumn, where it's already dark. The minute I got the lift - lo and behold! The view of the city from up here is amazing! It was hard to find the lift from the massive JR stati... moreon and then the mall (Stellar Place) where you would need to get to the 6th floor then transfer to another lift that would lead you to the observatory. But once you get up here, it was all worth the effort! I was here on 31 October which was Haloween and the streets were full of kids- but it was so therapeutic here looking at the twinkling lights. I opted for the cake and drink package - as it was also my birthday and was delighted to know they had a special Haloween cake. The lights here were dimmed so you get a real good view of the city drenched in yellow lights. They also had a live classical performance that evening. Awesome!

I went to the observation platform located at the 38th floor of the JR Tower connected to Sapporo Station as I had time till dinner. Even though it was only twilight, I was fascinated by the beauty of the night view, wh... moreich was like scattered diamonds across a night sky..
I thought this observation platform was for people to see the night view beautifully with the lights down. I also think I would recommend this place for those who want to spend some time alone as there was a single chair seat by the window. Of course, this is absolutely for couples, friends and family looking for a night view as well.
In October, the night view of Sapporo was recognized to be one of 3 new beautiful night views in Japan, and thanks to the Christmas illumination in December, it is even more beautiful than usual.
The restrooms have large glass windows from which you can see the night view. It is a rare experience.
It's not just a night view, come during the day and see the landscape and city of Sapporo in a huge panaroma.
I recommend visiting the JR Tower Observatory.
