Meeting at Lake Shikaribetsu Nature Center
After completing the reception, once all customers are ready, you will move to the canoe port with the guide. At the canoe port, we will keep your valuables safe. You are welcome to bring your camera and mobile phone. Please take plenty of photos! However, please be careful not to drop them.
Wearing your life jacket and holding a paddle, we'll first practice paddling on land. Your guide will provide detailed tips on paddling, so be sure to listen carefully and practice here!
Once you're on the lake, start with some gentle paddling practice. Canoes are typically designed for two people per boat. If you synchronize your paddling with your partner, you'll glide smoothly and easily across the water.
This is Lake Shikaribetsu, known as the lake with the highest water transparency in Japan. Many visitors are truly amazed when they peer into its surface! Especially during the early morning tours on clear days, you can enjoy the high water transparency and the serene lake surface.
Lake Shikaribetsu is the only natural lake within the Daisetsuzan National Park. It's surrounded by abundant life, and we invite you to savor the ever-changing beauty of Lake Shikaribetsu in every season, both in body and spirit.
