I planned a trip to Kyoto for my daughter, who couldn't participate in her school trip due to poor health. We wanted to visit many places in two days, including Byodoin, Kinkaku-ji, Ginkaku-ji, Rokuharamitsu-ji, Kiyomizu-dera, Fushimi Inari Taisha, Hokan-ji, and Gion, so we decided to hire a private taxi. It was definitely the right choice. The driver was absolutely fantastic. He acted as our guide and provided detailed explanations, giving us information that we couldn't find in guidebooks. My daughter was very satisfied and enjoyed it even more than her school trip. Although we toured in the extreme heat, the air-conditioned car made for a comfortable journey, and we are grateful for that. It was a bit expensive, but it was worth it as we didn't waste precious time. I highly recommend hiring a private taxi.

体調が悪く、修学旅行に参加出来なかった娘の為に京都旅行を計画しました。2日間で平等院、金閣寺、銀閣寺、六波羅蜜寺、清水寺、伏見稲荷大社、法観寺、祇園巡りと欲張り観光したかったので、貸切タクシーをお願いする事にしました。やはり頼んで正解でした。とにかく運転手さんが最高でした。運転手さんがガイド、しかも詳しく説明して下さり、ガイドブックでは知り得ない情報を得る事が出来て、娘も修学旅行よりも楽しめて良かったと大満足でした。連日猛暑の中の観光でしたが、エアコンの効いた車内で快適旅行になり、感謝です。お金は掛かりましたが貴重な時間を無駄にしなかったので良かったです。貸切タクシーお勧めです。

The departure and meeting point were written as Kyoto Station, so I thought we would be on the bus until the end and bought a lot of souvenirs. Then, at the very end, they handed out JR tickets from Arashiyama to Kyoto Station and told us to return individually. I was disappointed that it wasn't to the meeting point at Kyoto Station as stated.

The lunch included in the tour was greatly appreciated. On July 16th, it was hot, as expected in the basin city of Kyoto. The sightseeing bus tour from Fushimi Inari Taisha to Kiyomizu-dera, Kinkaku-ji, and Arashiyama was optimal as it allowed for breaks along the way. The bus served as a refuge from the blazing sun, making it a strong ally for us first-timers. We had lunch at a scenic spot on the approach to Kiyomizu-dera, and arrangements for the admission tickets were made while we ate. What excellent coordination!

Thanks to this, we were able to participate in the Yamaboko Junko the next day with energy. (We also relied on VELTRA for the procession. From the taxi pickup, our spirits were high. We never expected to be able to visit Honno-ji, which was a big surprise.)

For first-timers, especially during the busy season, I think there are various tour options available. Thank you very much.

７月１６日、暑いのひとこと。さすがは。盆地の街、京都。伏見稲荷大社から、清水寺、金閣寺、嵐山方面観光バスツアーは、目的地までの間に休息ができ最適。照り付ける太陽の下にあって、バスが避難場所。初めての私達にとって、強い味方でした。清水寺の参道では、見晴らしのよい場所で昼食。食べている間に、拝観券の手配。なんと手回しのよいこと。
おかげ様で、翌日も元気に山鉾巡行に参加できました。（巡行もベルトラさんにお世話になりました。迎えのタクシーから、気分はアゲアゲ。まさかの本能寺にお参りできるとは、思ってもいません、大サプライズ。）

We couldn't visit all the courses on our own, so it was great to be taken around by bus. However, I couldn't hear the guide's voice well, so I missed the explanations of the sightseeing spots.

The compatibility with the driver was quite challenging. There were times when they spoke casually (I’m probably older than the driver), and some of their comments felt a bit sharp, which made me feel uncomfortable. Spending almost the entire day together was tough.

Well, I guess this is also about compatibility.

In hindsight, it might have been better to catch a taxi using an app rather than a chartered service.

I could only stay in Kyoto for about five hours, but I was able to drink matcha, eat udon, and visit about four sightseeing spots! Despite the heat, I was able to use my time effectively without wandering around aimlessly. The driver also provided explanations for each location, which made me very satisfied! My child was in my arms the whole time, but we were able to rest each time we returned to the taxi, so I managed to keep my energy up. I would love to do this again!

京都には５時間ほどしか滞在できなかったのですが、抹茶も飲んで、うどんも食べて、４箇所程観光もできました!暑い中右往左往しることなく、滞在時間を有効的に使えました。
運転手さんがそれぞれの場所の説明もしてくださり、大満足でした!子供がずっと抱っこでしたが、タクシーに戻って毎度休めてたのでなんとか体力が持ちました。

I participated in this tour because I wanted to visit all the places in Kyoto in one day. It was great to be able to move efficiently in an air-conditioned bus in the heat of over 30 degrees.

Also, the guides Tammy and Taka were wonderful. I was impressed by their bright, friendly, and attentive work. The explanations of each landmark were very informative. Thank you.

If I have the opportunity, I would like to join other tours as well.

I thought it would be impossible for me, who is directionally challenged, to sightsee in an unfamiliar place, so I used a sightseeing bus for the first time. It had been 40 years since I last visited Kyoto, and I was filled with both excitement and anxiety. The affordability was definitely appealing, and while I had prepared myself to some extent after seeing other people's posts, I was surprised to find that over 90% of the visitors were from various countries, which was enjoyable in its own way. I was impressed by the tour guide who provided explanations and guidance in multiple languages! I truly appreciated all the help with admission tickets, lunch, and more.

The weather was great, and it was the best bus tour. I participated with my mother, who is in her 60s, and we were very satisfied to visit all the major tourist spots in one day. The tour guide's precise actions, just sitting on the bus to reach our destinations, being able to visit famous places in Kyoto in one day, and the distribution of free time was just right to achieve our goals. Since 90% of the participants were foreigners, I was able to study English through the tour guide's explanations, and the Kyoto cuisine was delicious, among other things. It was truly enjoyable! I bought a day pass thinking it would be efficient for touring Kyoto's sightseeing spots with elderly people. Although it was the end of May, it was so hot that I felt I might suffer from heatstroke unless I was in a vehicle with a roof and air conditioning. It seemed that some people couldn't board due to full capacity, and in that case, they would have to wait for the next bus 45 minutes later. While it might be more efficient than transferring city buses, depending on the crowd and the type of vehicle, paying 3,500 yen for a day pass felt a bit excessive. I think they should increase the number of vehicles and those equipped with air conditioning.

高齢者を連れての京都の観光名所巡りに、効率よく回れると思い一日券を買いました。
5月末でしたが、屋根とクーラーがある車両でないと暑くて熱中症になりそうでした。
また満席で乗れない方もいたようで、そうなると45分後のバスを待たなければなりません。

A trip to Kyoto with my 85-year-old mother after 30 years! It started raining in the morning, and since my mother has some knee concerns, I asked the tour guide at the meeting point about the elevator at Fushimi Inari Taisha, which was mentioned in the brochure. They were very attentive and helpful all the way to the shrine! Thank you so much for your support in such terrible rain!

I also appreciate the care shown by the tour guide who took over later regarding my mother! Thank you, Tamiya and Rin. My mother is grateful as well!

During the bus ride, there was a lot of information packed in, including explanations of history using photos until the next stop!

I requested a 6-hour tour for a family of five. From the initial consultation about the course, they were very kind and attentive, and I received a confirmation call about the pickup time the day before, which made me feel at ease for the day of the tour. The driver also offered to guide us in English, and his wonderful personality made it a tour that everyone truly enjoyed. Thank you very much.

We departed at 8:30 AM, took a break for lunch, and visited a total of five places, ending at Kiyomizu-dera where we were dropped off. Although we went over time, the extra charges were reasonable, which was really helpful. I will definitely use this service again.

The tour included a comfortable transfer to Inari Shrine via JR, followed by a bus ride, making the travel very easy. However, I felt it was somewhat unkind that there was no explanation provided despite the time being slightly tight. On the other hand, the guide was very kind and attentive to each group, which was impressive. While the explanations about the destinations were clear in both English and Japanese, there were moments when it was difficult to hear the guide, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, I had a satisfying trip and would like to use this service again.

　稲荷神社まではツアーでJRによる移動、その後はバス移動で非常に楽々な移動でした。ただ、時間配分が若干押しているにも関わらず、説明が無かったことがやや不親切に思われました。また、ガイドさんは非常に親切で一組一組に寄り添われていたのは印象的でした。ただ、目的地に関しては英語と日本語での説明で分かりやすかったものの、声が聞きづらい点もあり、その点だけ惜しいと思いました。
全体的に満足の行く旅行ができましたのでまた利用させて頂きたいです。

It was raining on the day of the event. Walking for a long time in the rain is tough. It would have been better if there were options for those who don't want to walk much. (I walked over 20,000 steps in one day.) The tour guide was from Taiwan and was fluent in three languages, which I thought was impressive.

　当日は雨でした。雨のなか長い時間歩くのはきついです。あまり歩きたくない人向けの対応策があれば、もっと良かったです。（1日で２０，０００歩を超えました。）添乗員は台湾出身とのことで3か国に通じ、レベルは高かったと思います。

It was my first time in Kyoto, so I used a tour. Besides my husband and me, everyone else was foreign. At first, I thought it felt like the Japanese were saying, "You should go on your own!" but the content was very good and enjoyable. The Kyoto tofu meal, which received quite a bit of criticism, was also very delicious. The foreigners around us seemed to not know how to eat it. My husband and I were stared at a lot.

I had some anxiety about traveling by train, but it was very easy to understand, so we were able to return to Kyoto safely. What I didn't like was the perfume of the foreign guests. The smell on the bus... it's something we can't help. The bus rides were short, and I thought the sightseeing time was just right. Thank you for your help.

初めての京都でしたので、ツアーを利用しました。私たち夫婦以外は外人さんだけでした。初めは日本人は自力で行けよ！と言う感じかと思いましたが、内容はとても良くて楽しめました。わりと酷評だった京豆腐御膳もとても美味しかったです。周りの外人さんは食べ方が分からないのでしょうね。私たち夫婦はガン見されました。
電車移動の不安はありましたが、とても分かりやすかったので無事に京都に戻ることが出来ました。嫌だったのは外国の方の香水でしょうか？バスの中の匂い…仕方ない事ですね　バスでの移動も短い時間ですし、見学の時間もちょうどいいと思いました。お世話になりました。

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Kyoto. One area for improvement is the timing information. I rushed through Fushimi Inari and arrived at the meeting point only to find that the bus was delayed by about 30 minutes. If I had received a call on my mobile a bit earlier, I could have explored deeper into Fushimi Inari. Also, I would appreciate a recommendation to wear masks while on the bus.

京都を満喫しました。改善点は、時間案内。伏見稲荷を早足で回り、待合せ場所に到着したら、バスの遅れで約30分後ろ倒しになりました。早めに携帯に連絡もらえたらもう少し伏見稲荷の奥まで行けました。あと、車中はマスクを推奨してほしいです。
