A bit difficult to access from Kyoto City, Amanohashidate and Ine. This time, I participated in a tour along with foreign visitors. We were the only Japanese. The guide mainly spoke English, but came to our seats to explain necessary information in Japanese.
The weather was nice that day, and we were able to enjoy the scenery of Amanohashidate and the quiet streets of Ine. In Amanohashidate, we had about two and a half hours of free time, and after a 20-minute cruise in Ine, we had about 30 minutes to explore freely.
While strolling in Amanohashidate, I went out to the beach and was healed by the beautiful and calm sea. Despite most participants being foreign, everyone gathered on time, making the experience very smooth.
京都市内からはちょっとアクセスしにくい天橋立と伊根。
今回、外国の方に混じってツアーに参加しました。日本人は私達のみ。ガイドさんは英語メインでしたが、必要なことは私達の座席まで来てくれ、日本語で説明してくれました。
当日は天気もよく、天橋立の景色や伊根の静かな街並みを楽しむことができました。
天橋立では2時間半ほどのフリータイム、伊根は20分程度のクルーズの後、30分ほど自由に散策という感じでした。
天橋立では散策しながら海水浴場へ出て、キレイで穏やかな海に癒されました。
外国の方がほとんどにもかかわらず、皆さん時間を守って集合していて、非常にスムーズでした。

I used a sightseeing taxi for the first time. The guide took me to the places I wanted to go, and we had a great conversation, which was very enjoyable. I also indulged in a recommended Kyoto-style kaiseki lunch.

We planned to spend a day sightseeing in Kyoto, initially intending to get around by bus and train on our own. However, considering the transfers and limited time, we decided to book a tour for our family of four to make the most of our visit. The bus transportation meant we didn't have to walk much, and we could leave our purchased souvenirs on the bus while visiting the next location, so we were really glad we signed up. Our guide was also very pleasant and kind!
京都は1日観光予定、最初は自分達でバスや電車で回る予定でした。
が、乗り継ぎを考え時間も限られる中、効率よく回れるなら、と家族4人で申し込みました。

Anyway, the guide Masa was amazing! He was always smiling and handled everything efficiently, making for a fun and safe tour without any waste. There were many foreigners, and the guidance was in English (with important parts also explained in Japanese), which added to the charm and made it enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour!

The driver from Koushin Taxi took me to a cherry blossom spot that is rarely visited by foreigners, and he also acted as a guide. I was able to enjoy a very pleasant and wonderful view of the cherry blossoms and the three-leaf azaleas.

We participated as a family of six. There were many international visitors, and we were the only Japanese. There were two guides; the male guide was with the Japan and America group in the front row, while the female guide was with the Korea group in the back row. We acted according to our groups. Our guide provided explanations in both Japanese and English, which was very helpful. She was very kind and took many photos for us. We were able to visit four places in one day, which was very meaningful. Everything was wonderful, but personally, I thought Kiyomizu-dera and the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove were the best. We were able to have a family trip full of memories. I am grateful to our guide and the driver.

I was late for my reservation, and while I understand that extensions are possible based on our preferences, I had communicated the places I wanted to visit. However, I was told it was too crowded or that there wasn't enough time. Despite this, they suggested an extension, but I was told that it would be a waste of time for the lunch I had planned. In the end, we could only visit two places, and after the tour ended, I was told they would take me to where I had a reservation, but the location was different, and I ended up having to walk to find it.
At first, I was happy and thought making the reservation was a good idea. However, as the tour went on, I couldn't shake off my frustration and felt disappointed.
The veteran driver certainly showcased impressive tour management skills, for better or worse.

It was very crowded on Sunday, March 30, but the tour definitely takes you to your destination! You won't have any trouble with lunch! You can enjoy it efficiently. I think it was quite an extensive and tough schedule for an afternoon, but we were guided to all the tourist spots we wanted to visit, plus some recommended places. My daughter was particularly excited because it was a place she wanted to go! ✨️
They also shared great recommendations for souvenir shops and meals that we wouldn't have found on our own. 🚗
The conversations during the travel were very enjoyable, and the time flew by! If I have the chance to visit Kyoto again, I would definitely like to request this again. 🌸
