The driver picked me up from the hotel and we toured the city and the heritage sites (temples, palaces, shrines). He accompanied me to these sites and gave me information. This was such an amazing time! It was so relaxing to sit in the boat just the two of us. We brought a couple beers and bought two more from the floating market. People packed like sardines in the other boats for half the... more time were shouting "How'd you get your own boat?" Lol. I highly recommend it! And would pay more to go longer. Our boat driver was awesome!

We had a wonderful experience in Kyoto driven & guided by Ken san, a real gentleman, who took us to see the sights & guided us through them. Would highly recommend.
