The river cruise was cancelled the last few days because some work was being carried out. however, they told us this only on the morning of the trip. We should have been advised a couple of days earlier. The tour is only in Japanese, so if you don’t understand the language don’t use this tour provider. Even basic instructions in english are not provided, nor are your questions understood.

If I had to mention some dissatisfaction, it would be that Kinkaku-ji was too crowded with tourists, and because of the rain, everyone had umbrellas, making it very difficult to move around. We also didn't have much time, so we couldn't take our time to appreciate it. Additionally, someone on the same bus was always late for the meeting time, which meant we lost the time we were looking forward to at Todai-ji, and that was disappointing.

Quite an adventure

Train was cool, was nice to let someone else handle the details for the day. River was gorgeous, wear Sun protective clothing and you are sitting on a wooden bench with no back for 2 hours. And finishing with the bamboo Lane (not really a forest) and shops were great. Highly recommend.

We had plenty of time at each sightseeing location, so we could enjoy the sights at a leisurely pace. We arrived a bit late at the last sightseeing spot, Nara, and almost missed the visiting hours for Todai-ji, but the guide kindly led us partway in the rain to ensure we wouldn't get lost, and we made it just in time. On May 4th, my family of seven participated from Ishikawa. I was a bit anxious since I signed us up on my own, but to cut to the chase, we had an absolutely fantastic time, and everyone in the family said they enjoyed it too! We were blessed with great weather and beautiful scenery, but what stood out the most were the three wonderful boatmen who made the experience enjoyable with their fun conversations, keeping us laughing the whole time.

The river had several rapids, and we got splashed quite a bit, which was incredibly fun! My children and I were seated at the ends, so we got pretty soaked, while the family members sitting in the middle stayed dry. If you don't want to get wet, I recommend not sitting at the ends.

The hour and a half of river rafting flew by because we were having so much fun. Thank you so much for being considerate of both the kids and the parents in various situations! Also, I want to express my gratitude to the staff member who prepared motion sickness medication for my youngest child, who started worrying about getting seasick before boarding. Everyone was so kind, and we had the best time!

5月4日に石川県より家族7人で参加させて頂きました。
私の独断でお申し込みをしたので、家族皆がどう思うか内心不安でしたが、結論から言うとすっっごく楽しかったですし、家族皆も楽しかった～！！と言っていました！
お天気にも恵まれ景色も綺麗でしたが、何より船頭さん御三方が素敵な方々でトークも楽しくて終始爆笑していました。
川下りは何カ所か急流があり、派手に水しぶきがかかってびしょ濡れになってめちゃくちゃ楽しかったです！！
私と子ども達は両端に座っていたのでかなり濡れましたが、真ん中に座っていた家族は濡れなかったので、濡れるのが嫌な方は両端には座らない方が良いかと思われます。
楽しすぎて1時間半の川下り、あっという間でした。
子ども達にも両親にも色んな場面で気配りをして下さって、本当にありがとうございました！！
そして、乗船前に船酔いの心配をし始めた一番下の子に、酔い止めを用意して下さったスタッフの方、本当にありがとうございました！！
皆さんにすごく親切にして頂いて最高に楽しむことができました。
